This spot has something for every vacation-day mood: swim, sunbathe, jog, read, or daydream on quiet Salt Creek Beach. Pack a picnic lunch, or walk to the famously romantic Ritz Carlton Resort with Spa and gourmet restaurants, to the new St. Regis Hotel and Spa (the spa is rated one of Fodor's top ten!) or just to the local coffee house.

Beach-close, this one bedroom condo, is in the beautiful Monarch Beach area of Dana Point. It is just steps to Salt Creek Beach--and situated in a quiet area of the complex, overlooking a greenbelt area.

Its second story location gives peaceful privacy indoors and out--without the disturbance of passers-by on foot or in cars. The vaulted ceilings gives a light and bright feel, taking full advantage of the ocean breezes.

The bedroom is roomy with a queen bed, full bath, generous closet/storage area and a cable TV. Glass sliding doors lead outdoors to the deck and the greenbelt view.

Double doors lead out of the bedroom to the living room area where there is a queen size sofa sleeper; glass sliding doors from the living room also lead to the private deck (with gas grill and a seating area.) The dining room seats four.

Our place also has a private laundry, well-equipped kitchen, high speed internet (wi-fi), 2 color TV's with digital cable, VCR, DVD, and a CD player. Bed and bath linens, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella are provided. There are maps, guide books, and a “local” dining guide, compiled by the owners.

Gourmet grocery shopping is nearby as well as numerous restaurants, golf courses, tennis and sailing.

It's ten minutes along the beachview road to laid-back San Clemente with its quaint small-town feel, unique shops and dining and great beaches (with surfing schools). Or to to lively Laguna Beach--home of the Laguna Culinary Arts School -take a class!

Laguna Beach also has the world famous Pageant of the Masters, Sawdust Festival and Festival of the Arts all summer long. Visitors often spend a day browsing the many fine art galleries and unique shops in downtown Laguna.

Nearby Dana Point Marina has shops, restaurants, harbor-side walking paths as well as whale and dolphin-watching trips, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, windsurfing and boat rentals. Or,catch the ferry to Catalina Island. Dana Point is home to the Ocean Institute, Festival of the Whales, Tall Ships Festival and the Doheny Blues Festival.

For those who want to wander a little farther a-field---this vacation condo is located midway between LA and San Diego. Within an hour's drive: go north to Disneyland, the Getty Museum, Hollywood and studio tours and all that LA has to offer...or go south to San Diego, including the famous Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Legoland and Torrey Pines Golf Resort.

In addition to being a short stroll from the beach and a park, the condo complex includes a large pool, 2 spas and picnic areas.
