I wish that I could awaken each morning to the glorious view at Villa Santorini! The property description and photos of the property are spot-on and the owner and property manger are responsive to your every need. The Villa is maintained beautifully and the daily cleaning was great. The villa is spotless. The sound system is great for entertaining. The location of this Villa is ideal--great restaurants nearby, local shopping for in-house meals, and car-rental is only paces away. Vanda will provide you with great sight-seeing options--and she knows the island VERY well. Be sure to take a sailing trip with Captain Ted--it was one of the highlights of our trip, and we also have made some new friends with that sailing trip. My husband and I traveled with another couple and we were all very comfortable at Villa Santorini. Lots of space and the views, morning, noon, and sunset were spectacular.

This was our first trip to Greece and had high expectations about it. Villa Santorini is a dream come true. Dealing with the owners was fluent and they were patient enough to answer promptly all our inquiries. The decoration is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful art work and furniture and the view is just breathtaking. Vanda, the house manager, a delightful greek lady, recommended places to visit, dine and shop in the island. Julia, the housekeeper, came in daily to change linens and towels. What a lucky find! When we decided to visit Santorini, I searched the internet for a villa that would accommodate 6 adults (not so easy to find since most sleep 4 with 2 on couches or cots). Villa Santorini seemed to match our needs with 3 full bedrooms and 3 baths. The photos on the web were enticing, but didn’t compare to the real thing! What a beautiful home. The view, the convenience, the professionally decorated interior — we couldn’t have found a better place. We were so pleased with Vanda, the house manager, who guided us to the most wonderful restaurants, shops and places of interest on the island and Julie who kept the villa spotless the entire time we were there. I’d highly recommend Villa Santorini to anyone who wants to experience the comfort and beauty of a “real” Greek villa.

We just wanted to thank you, belatedly, for a wonderful stay. The house worked perfectly for our family of five ages 1.5 to 65 and I recommend it highly. The location, the views, the aesthetic were all just right. We delighted in walking to the local markets and bakery, sampling local specialties (Tsipou Raki!) and eating on any of the three decks gazing over the Caldera where both the sunrise and sunset were a marvel. The beds were firm (no small thing) and despite the openness of the views we felt a real sense of privacy.Walking to Fira was a breeze (even with a toddler and a three year old) but it was perfect to be in Imerovigli at a remove from the hubub and tourist onslaught. Eating places overlooking the water including the Imerovigli tavern nearby and the lovely (and generous) family run Flame of the Volcano on the outskirts of Fira were high points. The homes location (and the helpful Alta car rental along with ubiquitous cheap cabs) made visiting other points very easy -- our trips to Oia/Amoudi (for sunset and dinner RIGHT on the water) as well as more remote black sand beaches and the still-warm-in-October Aegean were standouts. The photos do not do the place justice, though it is a pleasure to have the surprise be in the right direction!!

“Our stay in Santorini is by far, our favorite place. Vanda greeted us upon our arrival and provided us with a tour of the villa and was very helpful whenever we needed anything. I believe Julianne was our cleaning lady, she kept it spotless and smelling good the entire time. Vanda arranged for a mini van to transfer us to and from the airport. Everything worked out very well. The views were breathtaking, the villa became our sanctuary. My husband was in desperate need of rest, and it was so dark and quiet in our room we lost track of time and slept in- Very unusual for us. Thank you for affording us the opportunity to visit your villa-Such a lovely place to visit. We will be returning to the villa some time soon. Thank you again for all your assistance in making our stay at the Villa Santorini the most pleasant trip we have ever experienced. We have been to BVI, St. Lucia, Puerto Rico, Tahiti, and Hawaii, but nothing compares to Santorini.” Diane, June, 2010

We stayed at Villa Santorini for the week of our wedding - and it was the perfect accommodation for our wedding party. The Villa is centrally located in Imerovigli within walking distance to the nightlife and restaurants at Fira, but far away enough that you don't feel on top of it. You'd think that the traditional cave rooms would be rustic - but the villa has been updated with all of the modern amenities (like wireless, laundry machines, modern appliances, ipod station/stereo, etc.) and the property manager Vanda (one of our favorite people) makes sure that the place stays spotless. The rooms are a good size and the place easily sleeps 3 couples. The villa is laid out nicely, so that you have three separate balconies overlooking the caldera - a nice, lattice-covered sitting area at the top level, a smaller balcony with a sweetheart table for the top bedroom, and a large balcony on the main floor with full dining set, small pool and lounge chairs for sunning. I would not recommend Santorini in general for people in wheelchairs/ trouble walking. There are many steep hills and all of the hotels/villas have stairs to climb. Having a functioning kitchen was especially nice. We visited the local market in the mornings and picked up fresh fish for dinners. The villa also has a grill, so my husband and his buddies were in heaven. We spent a week at the villa and are definitely going back!

Our group of 7 stayed at the villa the last week in August and loved every minute of our stay. Two 21 year olds and two preschoolers under the age of four included. The villa was beautiful and had everything we needed. The view was as promised and the local village had very friendly shop owners, great resturants and a bakery. You could rent a car easily to go to near by beaches or to explore the wineries. Would recommend the villa and hope to return again. They do have daily housekeeping service which was nice and also Vanda the caretaker to meet you and tell you about great things to do.

We stayed at Villa Santorini with another family ( July 2009) and found the villa to be very comfortable and spacious. The location was excellent - close to shops/ restaurants and only a 25-30 min walk to Fira (with kids!). The local village was great also. Susan and John and Vanda were extremely helpful with all our questions during and before the trip. It was really nice to be in a place with all the comforts of home - the beds were comfy , there was wifi and all the small details were thought of. The terraces at the villa were amazing and most nights we found it hard to justify leaving for dinner as we literally had the best view in town! Having said that, I would highly recommend Naoussa for dinner in Fira. We also found a great jewelry shop called Agean Designs on the path from the villa to Fira - a lovely Australian lady hand makes all the stuff. Overall we had an amazing week in Santorini - wish we had more time! Erum, Marin County, CA July 15, 2009

I knew the villa looked beautiful from the website but my daughter summed it up best on arrival when she said, "This is so much better than I thought it was going to be." From then on we had the best time. It was liked living in paradise for a week. The villa was beautiful and comfortable. Vanda was incredibly helpful and the people of Santorini are warm and friendly. We all thought the villa was in the perfect location, near enough to easily get to anything, food, rentals, restaurants, yet far enough away so you didn't feel like you were in the middle of town. I highly recommend Villa Santorini. When we were leaving I thought I should have stayed another week!

Wow, what a cool place. What a great vacation. The view is stunning, the villa is really well- appointed, Vanda the caretaker is sweet and a huge help. Having a kitchen and a clothes washer is a big bonus. The outdoor areas of the villa are a great place to hang out -- there are so many outdoor levels that everybody has their own space if they want it. I loved the location because there were plenty of restaurants and places to buy what you need, etc. and yet you weren't taken over by crowds when the cruise ships came in (if you want that, the town of Fira is close by). Also, if you ever need to rent a car, the car place is close and really friendly. Anyway, you won't be disappointed. Wish we were still there!

We were on Santorini from the 9th-16th of August. Our home was this fantastic villa. My wife and I went with our four children ages 12-18. It would be great for two couples and maybe three, though the bed in the upper third bedroom is smaller than a queen. We all had a great time. It was a wonderful location on the island. Fira can be very busy in the summer with all of cruise ships. The town where the villa is located is smaller and quiet. If you desire to have more of nightlife and shopping then Fira is an easy 15-20 min walk. It was nice waking up in the morning and going out onto the deck to eat your breakfast and look out over the sea, which was 900-1,000 feet below you--almost straight below. Each morning I would walk to the bakery in town (4 min) and get fresh breakfast pastries and bread. If you go you will HAVE to go on a chartered boat trip around the Caldera. We used Blue Lagoon and were very pleased. The captain is a real character from New Jersey, who is of Greek descent. Would we stay at this same place if we would return to Santorini ? Absolutely! Great decor and always very clean. Great having a washing machine so you only need to bring a carry-on bag.

I wholeheartedly agree with each of the previous comments - this villa is quite simply the best place to stay on the island! We (my girlfriends & I) were there for a week in May and couldn't have loved it more. The villa itself is amazing - the pictures really do not show how gorgeous & luxurious the villa is. The view of the caldera from all of the terraces is beautiful, the furnishings both inside & out of the villa are tasteful and comfortable, and the management was helpful and available for anything. The location is ideal - you're basically in the middle of the island - easy to go anywhere, including walking to Fira for restaurants/nightlife or driving to any of the beaches or towns. Stay here. You won't regret it!

Magical. There are so many words to describe our experience but magical is the one that describes it the best. The magic began when the manager escorted us to the property. WOW! It is absolutely amazing. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The property has been renovated and decorated extremely well. You can tell the owners put a lot of time, effort, and money into this house. I was very hesitant booking a house through the internet, through people I did not know. This was the best decision I have ever made. The owners were so helpful even before I committed to rent the house. When we arrived, the manager sat with us for about 30 minutes recommending where to go and what to see. The manager was always available, and the owners were accessible via e-mail. The location was fantastic. The town is about a 30-40 minute (beautiful) walk to Fira (away from the busy streets and tourist) and about a 20 drive to Oia. If you are staying in Santorini for more than a week I would highly recommend renting this house...you will have privacy, views, space, and will not be disappointed!

We spent a glorious month at the villa and the view in one you will never forget. The house manager is fantastic and made everything comfortable for us including getting our computer working with the house wifi and getting us a great car rental and pick up from the airport and arranging massages for us. Food, fantastic white wine from the Santorini wineries, friendly people. The owner of the villa is extremely easy to work with, responds to all your questions and will be of no concern to you. Enjoy the Villa for the time of your life!

Comment Text: I stayed at Villa Santorini in May with my two girlfriends and we had an unforgettable vacation. We were a little reluctant since we had not rented from VRBO in the past, but it exceeded our expectations. The Villa is beautiful, the view is breathtaking and situated in an ideal location(imerovigli) which is outside of the hustle and bustle of Fira but close enough to walk (a long stroll but well worth it). I consider myself to have high standards, since I stay in 5 star hotels quite often for int'l business travel, and this accomodation surpassed my expectations and I, personally, think the villa is much more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The house is beautiful, the decor is modern but also holding to the traditional santorini style villa, the amenenties are great - eg beautiful kitchen, fresh robes, maid service, the concierge, great hairdryer and flat iron, surround sound stereo with CDs, a book filled with restaurant recommendations and local attractions, and a great cooling tub (jacuzzi size outside looking over the caldera) etc...The family that owns this house takes great pride and care in their home and are wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this Villa to anyone visiting Santorini. I look forward to going back.
