From the moment you drive up and walk into the home, you feel like you are "home". The place is clean, has everything you need, a book with details of the cabin and local areas of interest was helpful. Even with the record 2 day wind storm during our stay, we did not feel like we were "confined", with a roaring fire and plenty to do inside in a comfortable homey environment, it was still enjoyable. The added benefits of having a dog run and a well kept trail through the woods was a definite plus. The Pheasant Inn in Briggsville (just a short distance) has a wonderful Friday fish fry. You are out in the peaceful country, but still only a short distance from many attractions. Really hated to have to leave, hope to come back again in the future.

Husband and I brought our two dogs for a trial run in February. Upon departing, we booked a whole week in the summer. As others say, all the details were considered. The house is warm and inviting, and clean. I look forward to our return to enjoy the deck and other warm weather amenities.

My husband and I, as well as our german shepherd, just returned from 5 nights at the Pine Chalet and your home EXCEEDED our expectations! It was so clean and homey. Loved relaxing in the whirlpool tub at night! It was wonderful being in a remote location where our dog had plenty of room to run and play ball. There are not many places so welcoming to animals and as we are living in a condo, it was wonderful to be able to have a home to ourselves for a few nights! Pete the owner was great and made everything very smooth for us! We will highly recommend your cabin to anyone visiting the Dells area and would love to return sometime soon!

Our Stay at The Pine Chalet

My husband and I, along with our two pups visited this home in February. From the moment we walked in, I felt at home. Comfort surrounds you here. We whipped up dinner on the first night without hesitation. They have almost everything you need, including spices and oils, sugar, etc. The house is super clean, all the amenities you need. Full washer and dryer in the (CLEAN) basement, dog run and kennel, all kitchen appliances and supplies necessary to "live" here for an extended period of time. We slept in the loft upstairs with the full bath, which was very comfortable. The sun heats up the home during the day with all the windows and we had fires every evening with wood provided by the owner in the shack outside. We parked in the garage. We felt safe. We listened to music while relaxing in the great room. We went for walks every morning. We are looking forward to going back during the summer to really take advantage of the wrap around deck and the short drive to the Dells and all its attractions (about 25 minutes). This was definately a 'city mouse meets country mouse' scenario for us being from Chicago, and the country welcomed us well. We will be back!

We just returned from a family after-Christmas vacation at the Pine Chalet and we LOVED it! The cabin is so homey and comfortable with everything a person could need. The cabin is close to many attractions and activities. There is something for everyone and all ages. We highly recommend staying at the Pine Chalet and plan to do so again! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit. The pictures do not do the cabin enough justice.

My family and I stayed and the Pine Chalet for an extended weekend and it was wonderful! We have a 2 year old daughter and a 1 year old lab. It was the perfect getaway for our family! So relaxing! We had a great time exploring the land, the weather was mild and agreeable. The fall colors were just turning, so next time we'll know to wait a week or two. We loved being right outside of the Dells, maybe a 25 minute drive if you don't take the highway. We enjoyed the scenic drive. We spent an afternoon in the Dells at Harvest Fest, had a blast! The fireplace was relaxing, we all napped very well in front of it! Our daughter a had a blast splashing in the hot tub. The home was clean, cozy, charming and inviting. We truly felt at home. I would highly recommend a stay at the Pine Chalet for anyone. Families, couples, girls' get-a-away etc. We'll be back soon! Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

My wife and I wanted to get away somewhere this winter. We have 5 greyhounds and the oldest is soon to be 14 yrs. old. We did not want to leave him behind and found your place online and looked forward to a weekend of relaxation. We had such a wonderful time in your beautiful home. We hated to leave the warm fire and relaxing living area. We enjoyed the whirlpool tub and the dogs were so relaxed and at home. You thought of everything when you decided to tuen this lovely log home into a retreat for all to enjoy. We felt so pampered and came home to Madison very relaxed and energized. We will be back!

Pine Chalet

This was the perfect quiet get away retreat for me and my family (including our two labs). The sandhill cranes were migrating through and that only contributed to the walk in the woods creating beautiful peaceful scenes. Those who stay here have access to not only small towns with supper clubs but also the Dells. However, we had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the Chalet as we had come to rest and relax. Instead, we found a well equipped kitchen, a wonderful sound system, and a wonderful wood burning stove (with wood provided). The property was much more beautiful than even the pictures showed and it was accurately described through the website. I highly recommend the Pine Chalet to a family looking for some time away.

but at least we were leaving refreshed. A long weekend at the Pine Chalet was just what our family needed to unwind and relax for a long weekend. We loved the area with the sound of the sandhill cranes flying over. Whether walking in the woods with our two labs, reading books in front of the fire, or cooking in the fully furnished kitchen, we appreciated the cozy and well-maintained accommodations. We are already recommending the Pine Chalet to our friends! Betty F

My wife and I and two other couples stayed at the Pine Chalet in early August, 2008. Often times the pictures and descriptions of properties on the Internet are "several" years old and not anything like what you find when you get there. This was not the case of the Pine Chalet; it looked just like the pictures and was, in a word, "wonderful." The property is only a pleasant 11 mile drive from the Wisconsin Dells. This is where we spent most of our time. There are many restaurants and activities there - something for everyone! If you like water parks, miniature golf, boat tours, etc., you will love it there! We really enjoyed the Moosejaw Pizza and Brewing Company - a microbrewery with great casual dining. They have many other menu items besides pizza and brew, by the way. We also enjoyed the Upper and Lower Dells boat tours and the Wisconsin Ducks boat tours! The wrap around decks at the Pine Chalet provided us with peaceful and relaxing times in the mornings and evenings. It is so quiet and picturesque! In the morning we watched and heard sand-hills cranes in the field adjacent to the property - really Another thing we enjoyed was that even though it was August, the low humidity and lower temperatures made it much more pleasant than it would have been at home (Two couples from the Kansas City, MO area and one couple from the Houston, TX area) The Pine Chalet is very clean, comfortable, and very well maintained; we were all very impressed. The owner provided us with excellent customer service - especially when our GPS got us lost while directing us to the property. I had to call the owner from The Dells to get directions. (A hint: follow the written directions provided by the owner, you will be much better off!) I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is going to the Wisconsin Dells area and wants to stay somewhere quiet and away from the traffic and noises of The Dells themselves!

We stayed at the Pine Chalet during my husband's R & R. We had the time of our lives. What a great home! The owners even had blueberry muffin mix for us (and the tins to bake them in). We loved it and hopefully will make it back again! I would highly recommend staying here!!!!

We had a wonderful family experience at the Pine Chalet with my husband and me and our beagle. Not many places are as welcoming for pets as the Pine Chalet and it was wonderful. We will definitely in the future look to stay there again but maybe next time when there is not a foot of snow.

The home is beautiful! The home is close enough to the Dells and its attractions, but far enough away to have it be peaceful! The owners thought of everything, from the dog kennel to popcorn and movies! Overall we loved it and would love to return again soon!
