Hau’ula Hillside Hideaway, a ten-bedroom, Hawaiian, country home, is nestled in the Koolau Mountain foothills on the North Shore of Oahu. This lovely two-acre estate offers the simple pleasures of a traditional, Hawaiian-style, country vacation ...serenity, birdwatching, star-gazing, relaxing around the koi pond and enjoying fresh fruit from the banana and papaya trees that grow on the land.

Guest Suite #2 includes three bedrooms, full kitchen and dining room, a full bathroom with a shower, a living room, and two spacious lanais (one is a covered lanai). The Suite has air-conditioning and all rooms have ceiling fans to keep the cool breezes flowing even on the warmest days.

The suite has been newly remodeled and is furnished with lovely wicker and sea-grass pieces throughout. French doors open out to the lanais and frame the views of the Koolau mountains above and tropical gardens with a large Koi pond. The guest suite has a private entrance, its own yard, gardens and parking area. It is fully accessible. There are no shared areas.

Since there are two Guest Suites in our home, larger parties can reserve both Guest Suites, as needed. One hour from Honolulu, Hauula is located on the lush Northshore/ windward side of Oahu and offers a low-key atmosphere, striking landscapes and many fun-filled adventures. The deep green Koolau Mountains plunge dramatically into the ocean and valleys of the windward side, their peaks coaxing the clouds, invite brief rain showers on almost a daily basis…just enough to keep our gardens rich with all the colors of the rainbow!

We are a five minute walk from the beach or a 2 minute drive. Eight beach parks are within a 5-10 minute drive. These deserted, white sandy beaches are wonderful for swimming, snorkeling, walking or simply relaxing in the sun. We have some protected kiddie pools too... ask about "Alligator Pond"! World-famous surfing at Sunset and Pipeline Beaches is only 20 minutes away. Excellent hikes, such as Hauula Loop and the Makapuu Ridge trailheads, are only a five minute walk. We are about a 1/4 mile away from Hauula Beach Park....2 minutes by car.

Spend the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Macadamia Nut Outlet or Kualoa Ranch 5-15 minutes. This 4000 acre cattle ranch offers horseback riding, ATV rides, visits to Jurassic Park movie set, ancient fish ponds, WWII bunkers and historical exhibits. Shopping for groceries, local Hawaiian treasures in small shops and farmers markets are minutes away. Good local eateries are nearby. Visit our "ohana" and experience the authentic "Aloha" of Hawaii.
