Welcome to the best of both worlds - Mi Casa and St. Augustine. Mi Casa - so quiet and secluded yet a spectacular location. We are directly on the ocean and the mouth of the Matanzas Inlet. The variation of low and high tides provides a magical quality to Mi Casa that is unique.
When the tide is high, surf fish the Inlet just steps from your deck and private alcove. When the tide goes out, it reveals a marine wonderland (we are on the National Registry of places to see) of sandbars and tidal pools...perfect for shell hunters, bird watchers and nature lovers in general. Low-tide also allows the young ones to splash around over a wide stretch of the beach without the normal concerns of a rushing tide.
For the surfing enthusiast, a few hundred yards to the south provides the best wave riding for miles around. And,no cars are allowed on this beach. You'll be transported to the 1600's when you visit St. Augustines' cobblestone streets, horse drawn carriges, famous restaurants, and some of our nations original buildings. History abounds.
Please check our reviews - if you want the ambiance of the ocean just a sliding glass door away, we are it. The beach as your oyster, that is Mi Casa- we are right on the beach.
Fun waterfront dining is across the street, and the famous Marineland is five minutes by car. Ten minutes away is Devil's Elbow, which has affordable boat rentals to cruise this very special part of the intercoastal where schools of dolphins abound.
While the 2000 square foot deck is shared by the three units in this triplex, each unit has a private alcove with separate picnic benches as well as a private balcony directly off the master bedroom - if you are not a romantic when you come, you will be when you leave.
Each unit consists of three levels. The sleeping arrangements are as follows: loft - twin beds; master bedroom (with private balcony overlooking the ocean) - queen size bed. The master bedroom is twice the size of normal beachfront accomodations, with a very large walk-in closet and pure oceanfront view right from your sheets! Downstairs, living room converts to a bedroom with two double beds (trundle bed type). The end unit has two full baths and a spiral staircase; the middle unit has one and a-half baths with conventional staircase.
Mi Casa has been under new ownership and operation since May 2011. The middle unit was acquired October 2011 and is being remodeled and updated during vacancies.

- Air Conditioning : Central heat and air with all new duct work in both units.

- Off Street Parking : Two spaces for each unit on the paved area, and room for 3 more on the unpaved side.

- Wood Fireplace : Beautiful wall decoration now that it's disabled. Seems that years ago guests burned their trash in it & nearly caught the building on fire. Insurance company convinced us that's a "no-no". Now it's glass shielded.
- Beds
- King Bed : The end unit has all new bedroom furniture with a king bed and memory foam mattress. We've slept on it and it's a very comfortable bed.
- Queen Bed : The middle unit still has the queen bed. We have the new king memory foam mattress and a fabulous "beachy looking" bed, just waiting for the next vacancy to install it.
- Double Bed (2) : Doubles are downstairs, side by side. They're unique in that they roll under the kitchen floor by day. Both units have this feature.
- Twin/Single Bed (2) : Twins are in loft, both units. Both units have new ductwork extended to the loft, much more comfortable now.
- Entertainment
- Cable/Satellite TV : approx 200 channels from U-Verse. TV's upstairs and down (47" flatscreen), Hi- speed AT&T internet wifi.
- DVD
- Video Library : So far we have maybe 30 DVD movies in each unit. The BluRay DVD player is a joy.
- Kitchen
- Full Kitchen : Almost 250 square feet, twice the size of normal oceanfront kitchens. End unit has all new appliances, tile floor & tile back splash. New ceiling light fixtures. New dining table & chairs. Middle unit just got new refrig/dish washer/range/sink & faucet.
- Cooking Utensils Provided : all silverware, pots & pans, dishes, bowls, provided. Battery powered wine opener you'll love ...... bring wine!
- Refrigerator : New both units. Ice maker in the end unit.
- Dishwasher : Brand new in both units.
- Microwave : Each unit has one that works & is clean

- Outdoor Features
- Charcoal BBQ Grill (3) : outdoor grill with a dedicated grill for each condo and a smoker on the back side. I've smoked fish in it and it works well. Need to bring wood for flavoring. Home Depot sells a variety of wood.
- Deck/Patio : The crown jewel of Mi Casa- nearly 2,000 square feet, directly on the beach, over a dozen outdoor chairs and chaise lounges.
- Balcony : private 2nd floor balcony overlooking ocean, as well as a first floor private alcove complete with picnic table
- View/Location
- Beachfront : The deck is in the water at high tide. The slogan "ocean spray in your face" tells it like it is.
- Oceanfront : Directly on the ocean, the tide changes offer different vistas thru the day and night. Last night (Jan 2012) we counted 17 shrimp boats offshore. Fun with the provided binoculars.
- Monument View : When you're visiting Fort Matanzas, you can look back & see the roof top of Mi Casa. From our deck you can see the fort if you look under the bridge.

Why the Owner Chose St. Augustine
St Augustine has been my favorite town for 50+ years. I still haven't seen it all. We're 1 hour away, so we can manage the condos ourselves & check after each cleaning to ensure it meets our standards. "Clean" is job # 1 in our book!
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We let our dogs run free on the beach while enjoying coffee early on weekday mornings. There's rarely anyone else on the beach, unless it's another dog-walker.
Owner's Map of St. Augustine
Retired business owner and native Floridian. Hobbies include parrot breeding and golf cart sales/repair. We're animal people with horses, cows, peacocks, guineas, chickens, and of course lots of dogs and cats. All concentrated on 55 acres in the middle of nowhere two miles down a dirt road.

The Mi Casa unit we stayed in has been updated and has a fully equiped kitchen. We planned meals and ate in so that we could spend as much time on the beach as possible. This property is literally right on the beach. Not only is it right on the beach but you are on a corner so it is like having the beach all to yourself. It is absolutely breathtaking. The tide goes out very far at times allowing for lots of exploration. The only thing I would keep in mind with this unit is the floor plan is very open. There are not doors on the sleeping areas. We met longtime friends so it was a non issue for us. If you are looking for a fun, relaxing time, this is the place to be. We will definitely be back (hopefully sooner rather than later)!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

Barry & Patricia bought this unit May 2011 and transformed it into a luxury accomodation. Everything except the dishwasher is new. The doors slide easily, all the furniture is new, both bathrooms are 100% new and fully tiled. New paint job & two really comfortable recliners to watch TV or read in. Re-stuccoing the building starts next week to freshen up the outside. The first new bed didn't feel very comfortable, so we replaced it with a memory foam pillow topped king size bed. You'll rest comfortably now for sure.

My bride and I stayed at Mi Casa on our honeymoon week. When we walked in, I knew it was a mistake. Not only is the place very worn, but the downstairs shower was undergoing renovation, so there was visqueen on the walls, and gaps in the drywall. When I complained about this, the manager said he would take my bride and I out to dinner to make up for it, and to meet him at a restaurant the next night. HE NEVER SHOWED UP. And he was unavailable the rest of the week. Not having a very good taste in my mouth after this, I can only say, avoid this place.

You'll be pleased to see the 100% new bathrooms, both with all new fixtures and fully tiled. As a matter of fact, we replaced everything in the unit except the dishwasher! My family has stayed at MiCasa in the past, about 4 different times to be exact. We have stayed in every condo and love the experience. I have called to stay in August and I will not be able to wait. It is the greatest place to stay and I can say so just based on past stays. I know that my stay in August will be just as relaxing and invigorating as the other visits. Thank you for MiCasa-----there is no better vacation spot. :)

I have traveled and stayed in many places on the beach. Mi Casa has it's own uniqueness that compares to none. Watching the sunrise from the bedroom window and hearing the music of the waves as I awake is indescribable. It was so peaceful to walk out on the beautiful deck and enjoy my morning cup of coffee observing the seagulls gathering their breakfast at low tide. A few steps down from the deck and the sand is beneath my feet. The morning walk searching for shells begins. My son just loved to chase the waves and the seagulls:).It is a lovely place. You feel as though you have your very own beach to run and play on. My son had so much fun playing and enjoying the beach. We didn't need to go anywhere but the grocery store. Everything you need is at Mi Casa. If you're a beach person such as myself, love privacy and like feeling as though your at home away from home. I highly recommend Mi Casa. My family and I are sure to return.

My family of 9 has stayed at Mi Casa for the last two summers and we LOVE it. The accomodations are terrific, the location is super and the views are fabulous. The nice large kitchen is perfect for a big crowd and the grill outside on the huge deck makes a lovely dinner right on the beach. The water and surf are excellent for people of all ages, including small children - the biggest thrill for my kids was picking up starfish on the beach. We took our kayak and had loads of fun in the ocean, paddling under the Matanzas bridge to the intracoastal waterway. We also took our boat, stored it at the Devil's Elbow marina and went boating and fishing several times. My family looks forward to our annual vacation at Mi Casa - convenient to St. Augustine, Marineland and many excellent restaurants. The rates are reasonable and the condo is fully furnished with all the amenities of home. The owners are great and we all agree that this destination has our hgihest recommendation for an oceanfront vacation in Florida!
