Why the Owner Chose Oro Valley

Tucson has a natural tangible ambiance. I love that you can see all four mountain ranges around you and that they feel close enough to touch. The people here are warm, active and friendly.

The Unique Benefits at this House

This property has mainly a privacy aspect that I enjoy. It backs up to the golf course and is located in a cul-de-sac. The nature that can be seen from the back yard is varied and abundant, quails, song birds, hummingbird, javelina and the mountain lions!

Great getaway in sunny AZ

A great house at a reasonable price in an awesome location. Everything was as advertised or even better with the house in immaculate condition and close to everything we wanted to visit. If possible I would rent this house year after year and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit AZ but doesn't want to stay in a hotel.

Our stay in Oro Valley...

Guest: LaDur (Homer Glen, Illinois)
Date of Stay: 04/09/12 Review Submitted: 04/24/12

The house itself was enough room for the guests we had with us. Whoever stayed there before us, wasn't as tidy as we are. I would say that would be the cleaning services issue.. The carpet in the family room definitely needs to be cleaned. The kitchen cabinets were kind of hard to open and sometimes sticky. The pool was one of the best things about the house, it was always warm. The palm trees in the yard by the pool was beautiful scenery. The two master bedroom windows had another window above it, that was not covered which let it so much sun in, it woke you up daily..The pictures of the house looks exactly how it does in the listing. The blinds in the family room and dining room should be replaced, many are broken...Before I used the grill I found a dirty spatula under the covered grill, I proceded to clean and wipe the outside of the grill and clean the spatula.. We did have a good vacation, unfortunately disappointed in some of the things we found upon arriving at the house.. This is my 3rd year in Oro Valley, so it's not my first time here...

Luxury living in dessert

Spacious home in quiet neighborhood. Large bedrooms, kitchen and family area. Poker table a nice plus. Outside area has nice grill andl fire pit. Unfortunately it was too cold to use pool. Flock of quail just on other side of fence kept us company. Backyard very private, backs up to golf course. About a 20 minute drive to most attractions in Tucson perfect for 1 family or 2. My family (2 teens) just loved it. Most restaurants in area are chain types. Lots of malls nearby.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house. It was great. We were so closed to San Manuel, AZ (my parents house) that we were able to do day trips on Saturday and Sunday. We really felt like home and not like a hotel. Thank you very much and if we ever need your service again we will definitely keep you in mind

Great Location, Extremely Clean

If you know Tucson, you'll know this is a great area; new and expanding, but quiet. This house backs up to the golf course, but don't expect to see or hear golfers- there is a natural area between the yard and the green. We only saw the groundskeeper's cart in the morning. You will see lots of Gambel quail and other birds though! The pool is heated, but although I loved it and went in everyday (it was in the 60's), my friend thought the weather was too cold. The pictures of the place don't give you a sense of how large the house is...this house is BIG, so with just two of us, we shut off two bedrooms and one bath and enjoyed the rest. The dining room table, by the way, is huge. We laid out a puzzle at one end and still had room for meals at the other. This would be a great house for a few couples and their kids! We watched a lot of movies and left a few more to add to Lynn's collection. Having the computer was unexpectedly a big plus, as we could look up hikes at night and print them out, ready to go the next day. And there are even two mountain bikes with locks and helmets- go ahead, try those big hills! It's an easy bike to the Tohono Chul tearoom on Ina Rd. If I may recommend other places, I'd direct visitors to Eclectic Cafe on Tanque Verde & Sabino Canyon Rd after hiking in Sabino Canyon & dinner at Metropolitan Grill on Magee & Oracle. And try anything made with carne seca, a local 'invention' available at most mexican restaurants. Of course, the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum (you get to go through Gates Pass to get there), the funky little shops on Fourth Ave (kind of a throw back to Haight Ashbury in it's prime), and horseback riding! There are stables southeast on Houghton and in Oro Valley in the Pusch Ridge area. Back at the 'ranch', all the basics of housekeeping are provided, such as paper towels, laundry soap, matches, trash bags, etc. Even spices, aluminum foil, baggies; I couldn't think of anything we needed but food, and bar soap for the shower. And if you get the master bedroom, bring some bubble bath because the big tub is fabulous! Last thing, the house is cleaner than many hotel rooms. The grill is clean, the floor corners ( hey, who doesn't look?) are clean, the bathrooms are spotless. All in all, I was so pleased that we spent the extra money instead of staying at a resort again. Lynn was a joy to work with, and we got a load of extras that we never would have gotten at any hotel. Do it-you'll be writing a review like this next.

Wonderful Winter Escape

Guest: Diane (Portland, OR)
Date of Stay: 01/29/11 Review Submitted: 02/04/11

The house was everything advertised and more. The layout was perfect for the six adults in our group. The open kitchen/dining/living room floor plan allowed us to interact when we wanted to but also allowed us to spread out into smaller groups without being isolated from the rest of the party. The home was very clean and well equipped. The beds and furniture were comfortable, the pool was warm and the patio furniture was nice and more than adequate for our group. We made good use of the gas grill for several dinners. Our stay in February was a wonderful escape from the winter weather we left at home. Members of our group were from the Pittsburg, PA and Portland, OR areas. We left grey skies with rain and snow to get some Arizona sun and were not disappointed. The sunrises were beautiful every morning. Even though Tuscon had record low temperatures during our stay, the sunshine was bright and this lovely home was warm and cozy. We enjoyed watching the varied birds feeding in the backyard with the gorgeous desert mountains as a backdrop. One morning we saw coyotes making their morning rounds on the golf course. We took day trips to the bioshpere and the Pima County Air Museum/David Montham Air Base. Part of our group played golf and went to the casinos. The women had a day at a local spa. A good time was had by all - we hope to return to Tuscon and would love to stay in this home again. I would (and have)recommend this home to friends looking to stay in Tuscon.

Home Away From Home

Guest: Patty (Seattle, Wa)
Date of Stay: 09/13/10 Review Submitted: 09/28/10

Our trip was not a vacation, but this home turned it into one. After many hectic days we enjoyed coming back to a well furnished and quiet home. The pool was so refreshing and we enjoyed the birds every day. We will probably need to make a few trips back to Tucson and plan to stay at the same house!

We totally enjoyed our time at this property. I was a little nervous at first, but upon arriving at this property I was totally impressed. The pictures did not do this property justice. It was larger than I had anticpated and I was totally impressed with the cleanliness and amenities. I would tell you to rent this property with no doubts! It's a little out of the way if you want the tourist attactions, but if you want a nice quiet area in a great golf community, go for it!
