Get away from frenetic city life to the ideal beach and golf house - a sunny contemporary-style home with amenities in the small, private, pristine community of Arrington Woods (corner of Route 20 and 54, across from Bayside Resort's Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course), minutes to Fenwick State Park and Beach and Ocean City.
Ideal for family reunions or for a 'circle of friends' to spend a relaxing week or weekend away from it all. This newer (built in September 2005) spacious house feels like an elegant but comfortable resort home with graceful, arched floor-to-ceiling windows, a three season sun porch leading to an out-door patio with barbecue grill and views of nearby woods, and plenty of space for entertaining.
This light-filled, four bedroom, three and a half bath, twin home has plenty of room for overnight guests with two master bedrooms (one on main level) with private baths (one with soaking tub and separate shower); two additional bedrooms share another full bath. Loft/office provides play area or quiet get-away space, overlooking spacious great room with gas fireplace and vaulted ceilings.
The spectacular 'flow' of this home is great for party occasions - open dining/kitchen/great room, cozy three-season sunporch furnished in wicker, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open to screen up or down - and outdoor patio w/dining seating for 6. Upstairs master bedroom has its own sundeck and a covered porch off the loft provides additional outdoor enjoyment/privacy for other guests. Gourmet, fully-equipped kitchen with corian counters and breakfast bar.
Community pool is a block from the home. In addition to its proximity to Bayside's Jack Nicklaus golf course & Fenwick, with its numerous species of birds and other wildlife, beach and park, this attractive, upbeat community is close to Ocean City with its Boardwalk, kids' activities and 'hotspots;' and to Rehoboth, with its sophisticated nightlife and shopping (and tax-free outlets). Harris Teeter (new large grocery store w/great produce & Starbucks) is across the road from the community...within walking distance.

The Perfect Getaway
The Perfect Getaway
When initially hearing my family would be staying at this location, I was unsure of whether staying a few miles from the beach would be a downside but I was wrong. It is so close to the beach that it did not detract at all. I found it to be a plus. The owners take great pride in making this a true family beach get away - that is obvious from the decor - light, airy and comfortable - a place that screams home away from home. The pictures truly depict what the place looks like - I have been to plenty that do not! It had ample space for all of us to gather at the same time in the living/dining area - and the rooms were private and clean - and I loved the two balcony areas off the second floor - it allowed for escape time away from the main living/dining area to read and relax. All amenities were there - we brought some things unsure if they would be supplied (ie a blender, beach chairs) but they were. The owners were a joy to work with - responsive and willing to answer any questions I had. They were open to suggestions/thoughts after the fact and truly made me feel like they cared that we enjoyed our vacation. I also was able to find a very nice place to see the sunset across the way at a place called "The Point." It is approximately 3 miles across the way (same side as Harris Teeters) and gave the best views I have ever seen of the sunrise. The secludedness of it made it a perfect place to reflect on life. And it also had space designated to launch a kayak (of note - no motorized watercraft can be launched from it). In short, we have stayed twice now at this beach house. Given the opportunity to stay on the ocean/bay, I would still opt for this house if it were open as I have nothing but positive memories associated with this vacation home and plan to continue renting in the summers to come.

A Wonderful Experience
This was a wonderful property for our family with kids group. We had several children with us (ages 3 month to 14) + 3 adults and the house worked wonderful for all. The house was all if not more than the pictures and description reflected. There were plenty of beach chairs and beach umbrella included so no need to take those with you. The washer and dryer were awesome for staying on top of the laundry (2 little people with lots of laundry). The fully equiped kitchen made cooking in a breeze and the area provided an endless selection of restaurants to choose from. The house is very clean and very well maintained. It was convenient to Ocean City (amusement park for entertaining the bigger kids) and shopping for the moms. The choice of beaches is great as well but we loved Fenwick State Park Beach - very clean, less than 4 miles from the house, well guarded and less crowded than the major beaches in Ocean City, Bethany and Rohobeth. The community pool was a short walk from the house - beautiful and well maintained. Our only complaint - the drive down and back on Memorial Day weekend. Would not recommend the 404 route (we came back that way) as it is mostly 2 lane and although a beautiful route it took us 3 hours from the house to the Bay Bridge. If visiting over major holiday weekends we would recommend avoiding the major cities of OC, BB & RB as getting to and from is a major travel headache and the crowds are horrible. The small waterpark/mini golf area in Fenwick is great for entertaining the kids w/o going to OC. Jolly Roger is great but again, very crowded. Definitely plan to return in the fall with our kids and grandkids and hopefully a second weekend with the a group of female girlfriends. Thanks for a GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!! Will never stay in a hotel at the beach again!!!
