This was our first trip to Jay Bird's Nest. What a great place!!! Very nice, clean and in the middle of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. Hot Tub was really nice. We lucked out and have very nice weather this year so we didn't freeze like we have in the past. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

Nice cabin with scenic views of the mountains but, the beds in the cabin were very uncomfortable.

The cabin was nice but the beds were uncomfortable. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and needed a thicker mattress. I did not sleep well on the sofa bed. The mattresses in the two bedrooms were too firm. The toilet in the hall bathroom needed to be repaired. I left a message with the cabin owner about the problem with the toilet but nobody showed up to repair it. Overall, I would rate my stay in the cabin as average.

Had a great time, celebrating our 31st wedding anniversay! Cabin is very nice, really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table after spending the day in town shopping, sight seeing etc... Owner is easy to work with, emails answered quickly, directions to cabin clear, would recomment this cabin to others as it was recommended to us by our daughter and son in law. Great time in the mountains and it helped the Packers beat the Vikings on the monday night we arrived! Thanks again for sharing your wonderful cabin.

We enjoyed our stay at Jay Bird's Nest. Very welcoming, like a home away from home for us. Located in a nice quiet area, close enough to town, but yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. We have 3 younger children and it was a perfect place for them as well. We will be recommending this cabin to our friends and family so they can enjoy it as much as we did! Owners are also very pleasant, helpful, and welcoming!

Fantastic Cabin! We would highly recommend this cabin in the mountains. Location is great-private but not too far from the activities. The furnishings are adorable! If I owned this cabin, I would never want to leave! We hope to return again soon! I am telling all of my friends about this cabin! The fall foilage was beautiful. Don't hesitate to book this cabin.

On the final night of our stay, my daughter broke out into tears that we had to leave the next day. It was a wonderful stay and the picture doesn't make it look like its as big and beautiful as it really is. We swear that there's a tree on the other side of the driveway that looks like a hand. The house was great, off the strip in Pigeon Forge enough so we weren't bothered by it but close enough where it hadn't felt like a total chore to get there. And it's reasonably priced to boot. The bedrooms were decent sized, the bathrooms were nice and it was fun to spend some time with my teenagers who actually wanted to be there and with me because of the atmosphere! Wow! The Smokies were close and we had a great time exploring there. We also did Cades Cove which was great fun (the weather was stinky so spending time in the car wasn't huge.) The Biltmore was also close but we didn't have enough time. Point is, this cabin was great. It was close enough to do a million things besides the tourist trap that you drive along to get to it. Furthermore, it's clean, it's big, at the top of a mountain and there's only 1 other cabin that's closer but not close enough to be bothered by it. And it's clean. You can smell it clean when you walk in, you can smell clean sheets, the doors and windows shut so there weren't any potential bugs wanting to get in. It was a fabulous house. I look forward to going back and continue to watch the smoke burn off the mountains in the hot tub with my coffee while my kids are watching movies from the satellite TV in their "rooms" which translated to a nice, mellow week. I would highly recommend it to anybody.

We stayed here for a week. Was the perfect size for my husband, son and myself. Only issue I found was there is no high speed internet access. It does not state there is I just assumed there was and was rather disappointed there was not. My husbands job requires him to log onto his computer every couple days and it was needed for that. Other than that it was a great place to stay. Could use some new pots and pans too.

We stayed two nights in August 2010 with another couple for a weekend getaway. The cabin was in a perfect location for what we wanted to do---not to far but not too close to town either. The two full bedrooms had comfortable beds. Bathrooms were large. The open layout in the kitchen and LR were nice. We didn't get time to use the pool table in the loft but it looked nice. We did however enjoy the hot tub! It was awesome to have the stereo speakers running outside to the deck to enjoy music while in the hot tub and while grilling out. Most cabins don't have this large of a hot tub either and it was very comfy for the four adults. The deck has some nice rockers with a gas grill. We had some raccoon's visit us during the nighttime Saturday night. I would recommend this to any friends looking for a weekend getaway or a small family gathering. The only downside is that there weren't enough wash cloths to have more than one per person for the weekend and I didn't really care for that...if that is an issue for you I would recommend you bring extra from home or ask that the cleaners leave more maybe. Also, there is another cabin that shares a driveway with this cabin and you can see that cabin from yours but they aren't right on top of each other like they are in those resorts, but it is not completely secluded either. We also got a great rate for the weekend too--we stayed here cheaper than at most nicer hotels in town! Overall, a very good experience and highly recommended!

This cabin is even prettier in person. There is only one other cabin close by and it is far enough away to not feel like we were disturbing anyone with the outdoor speakers. The kids were excited to see a few board games and coloring books and they really enjoyed the loft upstairs. The woners were WONDERFUL to work with and we look forward to returning next year.

I highly recommend this cabin. Jay Bird's Nest was a wonderful getaway. My family enjoyed our stay tremendously. The rooms were spacious and well stocked with everything your family would need for an extended stay. The view was beautiful and we spent more time on the porch than we ever have in our previous stays in other Gatlinburg area cabins.
