  We are so thankful to have stumbled upon this jewel of an apartment right in the very heart of Piazza Santa Croce after an exhaustive online search for a place that was reasonably priced and in a good location. We couldn't have asked for better! Everything was provided for our enjoyment (even little extras like laundry soap). With dramatic windows that open up to the square and elegant period furniture, this place was a real treat. We highly recommend it!

  We spent three nights in this wonderful apartment. Because of the age of this building the apartment has some lovely features such as the very high ceilings with heavy wooden beams and steps below each window from which you can enjoy views of the lovely Church of S. Croce as well as the life and activity in the piazza. As can be seen in the photos it is beautifully furnished. The bed on a mezzanine floor is very comfortable with ample room around and above it. The kitchen and bathroom are small but practical. We arrived in Florence by train and then walked to the apartment (about 20 minutes). We were able to cover all the major sights on foot including the Duomo, Bargello museum, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi and the Piazzale Michelangelo (for those wonderful sunset views). We enjoyed our communications with Orazio whose English is far better than our Italian. Thankyou, Orazio, for providing such a lovely apartment.

  We spent 3 nights in this great apartment in March of 2012. The location is excellent- not only convenient and an easy to walk to all of the sights, but we enjoyed watching life out on the Piazza- especially the Sunday afternoon puppettshows! Orazio and Francesca were graciously waiting to show us around when we arrived from the train station. There is a large fan in the closet which we ran to block any outside noise at night- and we slept well. A big plus was that we were able to do our laundry while we slept, which kept us from wasting our sightseeing time sitting at a laundromat. There are steps to reach the apartment and others to reach the bed, so that could be a problem for people with mobility issues. This apartment is an excellent choice for a stay in Florence, and we will recommend it to friends who visit in the future!

  Wow! We arrived in Florence after a very long drive from Southern France, and were met by the wonderful owner, Orazio. We were exhausted, but he patiently showed us the apartment and even took us on a little tour of the Piazza. In the morning we experienced the true beauty of the place - the apartment looks out over the picture-perfect Piazza Santa Croce: a place that is always buzzing at all hours of the day. It is a very central location and within walking distance to all of Florence's many attractions - yet not in the middle of tourist-central. The apartment itself is exquisite - tastefully decorated and well-equipped. It was such a joy to come home to, and made our stay in Florence absolutely memorable. Our only comment would be that if you are a light-sleeper then you should bring ear plugs as some nights Piazza Santa Croce gets loud and can interrupt sleep. But overall the stay was fantastic, and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Orazio and Francesca for your excellent hospitality!

  Recently spent 11 nights in this wonderful location overlooking Piazza Santa Croce. It was clean, well maintained and I loved the location. The only downside was that many young people congregate in the Piazza at night and they are noisy. But that was a minor drawback. Being on the Piazza gave me a wonderful view of Italian life and I could smell the leather from the Leather School at the Cathedral. I loved having a washer and refrigerator in the condo. Santa Croce is convenient to everything. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip. I highly recommend this spot.

  We stayed in this really charming Italian apartment for 3 nights. It is located directly in Piazza Santa Croce and has a beauitful view of the church. Great shopping and food nearby - in fact, the restaurant we went to was the best meal we had in Florence! The sandwich place nearby is also pretty awesome. The owners have this printed package of reference materials for home stay students from Stanford or some other American university - make sure you look at the restaurant recommendations in there cos we tried some and they're great! Orazio was a great host. The first day we arrived, after he left, we noticed the bathroom had not been cleaned and there were stains all over the toilet bowl. I was thoroughly grossed out and emailed Orazio, and he apologized and said his cleaner msut have overlooked it and that it had never happened before. The next morning, he sent his cleaner to come clean it and when we got back, not only was the entire bathroom spotless and shiny, but they also tidied up all of our belongings, which was really kind of him. Orazio is apparently a doctor and is just the sweetest old man, very eager to give us recommendations for food and activities. Thanks so much!

  Up an easy flght of stairs, this apartment in a lovely 14th century building is a real charmer. It's furnished beautifully, with thoughtful decorative touches for the observant guest. Beautifully maintained, walking distance to museums, wonderful restaurants and shopping. And one can admire the gorgeous Santa Croce church from your windows. Mr Marrazza was a kind and gracious host. This is really a beautiful apartment and my second visit to this property. I would heartily recommend this apartment as a home while you visit Florence.
