Kitsilano Cottage by the Sea is a 1912 Heritage Home in Kitsilano Point; a quiet, residential enclave, just across the Burrard St. Bridge from downtown Vancouver. Kits Point is a small peninsula surrounded by parks and water.

Our Heritage Home contains a family-friendly, self-catering, self contained, garden-level 3 bedroom suite. It is 1200 square feet (120 sq. metres) and has 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms. Queen-sized beds in 2 bedrooms and double bed in bedroom 3. There are also 2 cots available. It also has a living room, fully-equipped kitchen and ensuite laundry. The suite is tastefully furnished with antiques and folk art from our many world travels.

The suite has its own private entry, off street parking, private enclosed garden, private phone line, television with VCR and cable, and broadband Internet access. Guests are provided weekly linen changes and cleaning service. Breakfast is not served.

We are located on a quiet street 1/2 block away from Cornwall which is a main artery with public transportation downtown (1 mile away). Or you can walk downtown in 20-25 minutes.

There many wonderful restaurants within 2 to 4 blocks walking distance. The nearest jazz bar is 2 blocks away and Starbucks is 1 block away. There are several grocers, including Granville Island public market, within easy walking distance.

Cigarette smoking is permitted outside only with absolutely no smoking indoors.

Kitsilano District is an extremely desirable urban-residential neighbourhood. Our weather is moderate year-round and the area is characterized by arts and crafts design homes, lush gardens, green spaces and chic business areas. Most of the very finest restaurants and nightlife venues of Vancouver are within walking distance. As well, there is wonderful boutique shopping and several beaches within easy, safe walking distance.

Granville Island is a 20 minute walk away along the waterfront.. Built around a public market, it also includes Kids Only Market and waterpark, theatres, artist studios, and fine dining venues. You can come home by small passenger ferry or rent a boat or kayak and tour the beautiful waterways that define Vancouver’s natural beauty.

Downtown and Stanley Park are just across the Burrard Street Bridge is a 20 minute walk.

My husband and I are both professionals and live with our 14 yr old son & fox terrier. We met on a 1979 trip to China thus we both love to travel (Ecuador, India, Cuba, Cambodia, Nepal, North Korea etc) This shows in our folkart, books and furnishings. I speak French, Spanish and English and generally love to exchange stories with our guests.
