FALL ASLEEP TO THE HYPNOTIC SOUND OF THE OCEAN WAVES. Plop into the hammock under the wonderful fragrant plumeria tree. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Kapoho Bay, only 50 yards away. Stroll a short distance down the nearly traffic-less lane to Champagne Pond, a huge geothermally heated warm pond, and snorkel in the always calm warm waters with sea turtles and colorful tropical fish.

HONEYMOON COUPLES LOVE THE COTTAGE! It is ideal for a single person, couple, or small family. The bedroom has a queen bed. A sofabed in the living room provides additional sleeping space. There is one full bath with a large shower, and an additional outdoor shower head allows you to rinse off easliy after a dip in the ocean, just around the corner.
FROM THE WRAPAROUND DECK YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE WAVES and admire the tropical flowers, banana and palm trees. There is also lanai (covered porch) with a picnic table and barbecue for your outdoor dining pleasure. We also provide deck chairs, a deck table and beach chairs.
THE CUTE KITCHEN IS WELL EQUIPPED with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, rice cooker, pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, and so on. In other words, it has everything you need except for the food!
THE COTTAGE SITS ON A GRASSY, PRIVATE LOT landscaped with coconuts, bananas, 3 types of plumeria (the most wonderfully scented flower), pineapple, papaya, hibiscus, red ginger, kolia, green ti, red ti, bougainvillea, and many other tropical plants. Lounging in the hammock under the stars is a favorite activity among our guests!
TO MAKE YOUR STAY COMFORTABLE, we provide linens, telephone with answering machine, free high-speed Internet, washing machine, satellite TV with movie channels and CD-quality commercial-free music stations, DVD, and a full stereo system (CD player, AM/FM radio and cassette deck). You will also find Hawaiian music to set the mood for your stay in paradise.
Year-round rate range is $90- $165 per night depending upon party size and dates of visit. Cleaning fee is $95

The cottage was perfect for my husband & myself. Clean & very cute inside. As a professional cook, I would have liked a knife sharpener, but I dont sweat the small stuff. Great location & we have stayed in this community for about 15 years. Loved being able to go jump in the ocean with just a short walk. We love the frogs at night, they remind us of crickets in a way. Hope to go back next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was pretty nice overall. Everything you would ever need in a house on vacation was there. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware. Toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, stove, oven, etc. TV with Dish. There was WiFi but our phones did not connect to the internet even though they tethered with a strong signal just fine. No Verizon service at all. No worries, it's vacation and the phones worked fine a few miles down the road. There is a house phone anyways.The bed was ok, there were extra pillows and blankets if needed. The bathroom is laid out a little unusual but works just fine. The floor in the shower has a mesh type mat that is a little uncomfortable to stand on but we just left it there. You get a decent ocean view from the patio. Nice place to drink some coffee. Or you can walk about a minute to a stairway going right into the ocean. Champagne Pond takes maybe ten minutes to walk to but has more of a beach (not sand but pretty small lava rock) to relax on. The pond is nice to swim in and calm too. There is a washer and dryer. Little geckos everywhere. Be ready for the chirping frogs at night. They are loud and take a little getting used to. Kind of missed them once we were home though. The directions related to the fork in the road could be updated. We expected the fork in the road to be right at Lava Tree State Park, but it was actually farther on. We were surprised at the final cost for something advertised at $95 per night. I suggest showing the 14% tax, cleaning fee and damage waiver upfront. All in all it was worth the money closer to $140 per night. Manager responded on 6/8/2012: We are very upfront with our costs that are explained in detail when prices are quoted through our office. We do not always have control over advertising through all websites, so if you originally saw an ad on the web, the charges may not have appeared.
