Location is great. However, I was expecting a cabin and was made to think it was a cabin. Upon arrival, I realize that it is a townhouse, so I was disappointed because I have 4 small kids and did not look forward to having neighbors so close on vacation. The cabin features were awesome. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and was great for cooking full meals, which we did. I didn't like the fact that it had a playstation hooked up to the tv in the living room on the main floor BUT had NO games nor any instructions on how to set it up or play it. Nor did it tell us to bring our own games if we had any. The dvd players in the living room on main level and in bedroom on upper level did NOt work. The coke machine took our money twice on the very day that we were out of drinks in the room. I do appreciate that the owners were so helpful in assisting us with making payments or installments.

Such an awesome cabin! Homey, comfy & multiple ways to relax...hot tub, sitting on decks/front porch (and you can hear the train whistle from Dollywood), playing Pac-Man & video gaming system (big hits with our son-in-law & 9 yr old grandson early morning or late night). Cabin was super clean on arrival and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Decor was just right for a vacation home in the Smoky Mountains. Owner pleasant and answered many questions prior to our arrival. The multiple levels afforded some privacy when needed but main living area big enough to accommdate several for meals, lounging, etc. Son-in-law played golf at the public course next door, very convenient to Dollywood (amusement park), Dollywood's Splash Country (water park) and all other interests in Pigeon Forge area. Teaster Lane & Veteran's Blvd are great ways to beat the traffic and everything marked very well. We certainly plan to return in the future to this wonderful, relaxing cabin!

We enjoyed our family vacation at Havens Rest. There was plenty of room for the 4 adults and 2 children. It was a great location and close to everything. We really spent the week relaxing at the cabin, by the pool and playing board games that were provided at the cabin. I would definitely recommend it to families looking for a nice, clean, affordable get-away! Thanks for sharing your cabin with our family!

This was an amazing cabin. We had a wondeful time. The cabin has 3 levels and is very roomy. It was very clean and well maintained. The cabin had all the extras most do not. The hot tub being enclosed was so nice. It snowed while we were there. The master bedroom with the balcony had a view that was breathtaking. The snow was beautiful to see from the balcony!! The loft with arcade was an instant hit with our children. The cabin is much more beautiful in person then the pics show. A great place for any family to stay. I would give this cabin 5 stars and more.. You will not want to leave!! Bill was so nice and willing to help us in any way.

I stayed here with my family and loved it! The location was great, quiet little area that it is located in. Really enjoyed being able to hear the Dollywood train from the cabin. Mornings on the loft out of the king bedroom were very peaceful. Will definitely stay here again when we ever come back to Pigeon Forge. Good communication with Bill throughout the process. Thank you for making our vacation so wonderful! Sincerely, Jason and Tiffany and family

We had the good fortune to stay in the Haven's Rest cabin from August 13-16th, and found it to be even better than pictured on the website. The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. Very professional. Thank you Strom Family for giving us this opportunity. The instructions and directions you sent us were clear and easy to follow. The location of the cabin was close to Dollywood and the Parkway, which worked very well for us. We only wish we'd had longer to stay so that we could have used the "Sparkling" pool, which is on the Resort property. We would recommend Haven's Rest to anyone who wants to feel special. Also, if you have time, go see Cirque de Chine. It was fabulous. Our grand daughters loved the Titanic attraction. I found it interesting, too. Splash Country was a blast, even for the one year old. There are SOOO many things to do in and around Pigeon Forge, that you will need plenty of time (and money) to see and do it all. At the end of the day, we wanted to get into that hot tub, but were just too pooped. LOL Thanks again, Strom family. The Clarks Steve, Pat, Anna, Madi and (Baby) "J"

What a great home away from home!!!!! My family of 5 along with my parents stayed at this cabin the third week of June. We loved it. It was a very relaxing setting. The whistle from dollywood makes it even better. The rooms are very clean and the kitchen is well stocked with all you need for a quick breakfast or a sit down dinner. We used both leveals of the cabin and it worked out great. The videos you have there were great and my kids loved the games. We enjoyed the view at nite and in the morning. It is so peaceful but is easy to get to from anywhere. We would stay here again anytime and hope to next year. The only negetive thing i could find is there isnt enough drawer space in the lower rooms. Maybe a chest on the wall at the foot of the bed would work good. Again thanks for opening your home away from home to our family. The Farley Bunch

My extended family (of nine overall) spent between 1 and 6 nights at Haven’s Rest in mid-July---the core of us (6) for the full week. Although I agree with most of the earlier postings, I’d like to be a bit more specific in my comments, both positive and constructive. 1) The location is SUPERB if turnaround time is important to you, if you have kids that nap, or if you like to eat in the cabin as much as possible for family efficiency/comfort and/or cost-control. We could get to every point of interest in less than 15 minutes, even in traffic and at heavy-use times. 2) The pictures on the website do not begin to do justice to the actual cabin interior. It is lighter, brighter, cleaner, and more pleasing to the eye than the (sometimes) grainy shots used to showcase it. 3) The neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors (both owners and renters) are super-friendly, and the Dollywood Express Train whistle really gives the stay an authentic feel. 4) The owners are very accommodating, sincere, and involved in the rental of their property. Their pride in the cabin and enjoyment of the area is evident in their timeline of personal photos. You can tell that this is a family vacation home, and not just an investment. 5) The upgrades are noticeable and welcome---linens, radio system, hot tub, TVs, fireplaces, 3 BATHROOMS for the price! Wow. And the master bed was so comfy, I hated when morning rolled around, even though I was excited for the day. Just 5 more minutes… We had very few disappointments, but I do want to mention a few. 1) The loft twin bed is broken on the bottom so that when it folds out, there is only 1 hook of 4 remaining to hold the mattress up. That rendered it useless to us, and so the toddler had to sleep with the older child. 2) The lack of wine glasses was kind of odd given the decorating scheme in the kitchen is grapes and wine. Champagne glasses are not the same. We ended up using the smaller everyday glasses. 3) I wish we would have known that the Ms. Pacman machine required quarters---I would have brought some rolls. We didn’t mind paying (truly, it’s actually a good money-making idea), but we spent every night scrambling for quarters between all of the adults because we would forget to get some during the day while we were out. With our two 10-year-old boys, this was a constant problem that led to more than one time-out for whiny behavior when we ran out of quarters. Overall, a wonderful family place, cozy, well-equipped, clean, spacious, and
Owner response:Thankyou for taking the time to write. We are glad that you enjoyed the cabin! Thankyou for bringing items to our attention. We have contacted maintenance regarding the loft bed issue. We will change our listing to specify quarters, too. :)

Karin & Bill: Our week July 18th - 26th, 2009 was fantastic ! The cabin was wonderful, clean, fully equipped and nicely decorated. We were there for the SEAA Tournament and in between games we were able to relax, swim, or play board games during the down time. WE had 5 people initially, mom, dad, two daughters 14 AND 8, nanny - 83 and then later in week my 24 yr old daughter drove up with a girlfriend. My eldest daughter (25 yrs old) had to work - so she could not make it! Too bad the 21st was her birthday !! We will surely come back. Havens Rest was the Best ! Thanks guys for a great week.
