Experience the quiet rural area of St. Peters Harbour and its pristine, uncrowded, white sand-dune beach. Stroll for over two miles along the sand watching local fishing boats return with their catch or just ponder the last rays of a setting sun on a tranquil beach. Gaze across the narrows at the majestic dunes at Greenwich National Park or watch the large variety of shorebirds, eagles and songbirds. Experience the thrill and freedom of horseback riding on the beach (10 min). Visit the rural settings that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables (45 min).
Visit Red Head Harbour (3 min) and watch freshly caught lobster and mussels being unloaded...buy some at Steve's Fish Market to steam back at the cottage. Visit Morell (5 min) to pick up fresh pies and bread at the village bakery or wine or steaks at the local stores.
Bike the groomed Confederation Trail (5 min) along the quite waters of St. Peters Bay to the Village of St. Peters and enjoy some of the Island’s best fish and chips at ‘Ricks’. This eastern leg of the Confederation Trail stretches 72km from Mt. Stewart to Elmira. Bike/canoe rentals are available from Trailside Adventures (15 min) and bikes/kayaks from Outside Expeditions.
