My family spent Christmas in Boulder and the house was PERFECT for our needs. The basement rooms are huge - and gave another option for entertainment of different age groups to get some space. We had a full house, but never felt crowded or overwhelmed. The kitchen is just georgous - and very functional. Very centrally located - easy to get to just about anything!
Owner response:That was great to hear! Our home is perfect for the larger family celebrations.

Quiet neighborhood, easy to find, easy access to highway, close to walking/biking trails for exercise/riding into CU campus/town. Upstairs was pretty disappointing and too cramped to afford space for more than half a dozen people or any real quiet/privacy. Adequate, but nothing to gush about. Downstairs/basement is much more spacious but could get dreary with no sunlight. Limited outside space/furniture could be expanded to accomodate more people and enjoy beautiful weather. Some windows did not lock. No soap for dishwasher, so we did dishes by hand. Despite any of the house's shortcomings, loved Boulder and enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at this house with a group of 10. There was plenty of room for everyone with the downstairs rental. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient and the house was very comfortable, attractive, and clean. Thank you so much!

Boulder is Great! Loved the house. So close to great hiking trails in the nearby open space prairie. Loved waking up and being able to see the mountains first thing in the morning. The space worked well for our large group, plenty of bathrooms, towels, etc. Great family-friendly neighborhood. We can’t wait to come back for our next summer vacation! Would definitely stay here again! (Still dreaming of that incredible homemade Blueberry Pie we had at the Chautauqua Park Dining Hall… Thanks for the suggestion!)

A (Family) Trip to Boulder

The rental house was the way to go for my latest trip to Boulder, Colorado. I try to get to Boulder every year to visit cousins and this time, with one of them getting married, there wasn't room for all of use at their home, so I decided to look up rental homes, since 3-4 hotel rooms for 5 nights, would have been very expensive. Originally, there was suppose to be 10 of us, but when only 7 made it, I was concerned that we would have only needed the main house, but was very pleased with the choice to rent the main and the add on, since this was excellent in accommodating all of us to get ready faster, and make all events ON TIME! In my opinion the entire home can be very comfortable with even as many as 12; however, this would involve sharing a futon and a couch : ) and one of the bedrooms had a smaller bed that was very high and could be difficult for someone short to get on it and would only be comfortable for one adult (my dad had this room all to himself!) or 2 teens/young adults. The home was very clean, and the mornings were great being able to eat breakfast altogether as a family, which was nice, since so many of us don't have time to be together as often as we like. Plenty of amenities in the main home and the addition. My only concern is that the addition, would not be optimal for people with disabilities or knee problems, since you can only get down to it by the basement stairs (inside) and from the outside there are stairs as well. The location of the home was very convenient, close to Boulder and main roads to get you to just about anywhere in the area; Lafayette, Erie, Longmont, as well as the shopping at the Flat Irons, other plazas and fairly easy to get into Denver. Especially convenient for site seeing up into the mountains; just take a left onto any road off of Broadway and there they are : ) There were plenty of maps and other travel guides in the kitchen, and people were very helpful if you get lost! I highly recommend the home for a family trip, a friends trip, or just a reason to get away! This is not convenient if you don't have a vehicle (or bike), since things are not in close walking distance, but that depends on how much you like to walk. If you go; rent a car and this home : )

We visited family in Boulder during the Thanksgiving holiday and rented the upper portion of this lovely home. The accomodations were excellent; we loved the large living room with working fireplace, the fully appointed kitchen and roomy dining room table and the very comfortable beds in each bedroom after a busy day touring and visiting some of what the area has to offer. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood with the views limited from the home, but just a walk down the street will please you with the wondrous views of the prairie and the flatirons. The main bathroom has a great jacuzzi bathtub and there is a wonderful laundry room with the latest washer & dryer. There are many things to do in Boulder and I loved that Denver was only 30 minutes away (we visited the Museum this trip) and so much more is only 20 - 30 minutes away including Estees Park. There were only 2 disappointments with the home: 1) the bathroom for the master bedroom is small (something you would expect as the 2nd bathroom) with the shower stall being truly for 1 person and 2) the garage entry door does not go into the home but into the fenced backyard and then you enter through the sliding doors. I loved this home and look forward to our next visit. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone planning a visit in and around the Boulder area.
