My family and I rented this cozy cottage for 2 months Feb and March and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are very pleasant and quickly responded to any questions or issues immediately. The 2 bedrooms and open floor plan is perfect for a family of 4 with room to relax. I don't think there is a better view of the mountain. The proximity to the mountain is minutes which made it very nice to wake up late and still get to the mountain early! There is a also Wi-Fi which worked out well. There is a nice cozy gas fireplace which heated the rooms in minutes. A care taker turning on outside lights prior to our arrival and removing garbage made arriving and leaving easy. When we first arrived there was a welcoming bottle of wine which was very thoughtful and the place was very clean. The town is making a come back and was impressed to see the restaurants open and running. We very much enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you -- we are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forwarding to hosting you again.

We rented the house for about one week over Christmas break with our two children and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The kids were delighted and the house is perfect for a family of four and extremely well situated close to the mountain. We enjoyed watching the stars at night, the kids watched a few videos, and we cooked at home which was most restful. The owners were most kind and helpful in every way. For children, there is now a ski school at Windham and although an expensive option, it allowed myself and my husband to ski every morning together. The school takes care of fitting the skis. The kids were thrilled with the care there, and the staff was most friendly.Recommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you -- from the Catskills to Brussels -- we are delighted that you enjoyed our home and hope to welcome you back again someday.

We rented this property for a few weeks during the high-season this past winter. We previously rented this home a few years earlier and we very pleased upon our return to this great property. The views remain outstanding and the decor contributes to this property being quite memorable. The property is very convenient to the mountain and is located just on the outskirts of the center of town allowing an easy walk to all the wonderful restaurants and shops located in Windham proper. As previously experienced, the homeowners proved very accomodating and quite pleasant to deal with ---- I would certainly recommend this property to any couple or young family interested in finding a unique setting to enhance their Windham mountain ski experience. This is geniune gem during all four seasons of the year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We spent the month of march at the Hilltop Retreat and had a wonderful time (along with fantastic skiing). The views are incredible and the house feels very private even though it is so close to the mountain. The house is spotless and comfortable with fantastic 1960s decor. The hosts were kind, responsive and very easy to deal with. We love this house and will be back again soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Although the January ski season was a little "iffy" the accomodations at Hilltop were a pleasure - from our arrival with the bottle of wine waiting - which I did eschew for a trip to Trail's End - just next door! The beds were comfy, the bathrooms spotless (I have this thing about bathrooms!) And the great room - a 1960's redux- comfortable, spacious and wonderfully toasty with the gas fireplace. Ah, the views - by using the telescope (or the available binoculars)you could check out the brand of skis on the mountain (well, OK a minor exaggeration here!) I'll be back. . .Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A wonderful treehouse which overlooks Ski Windham. The view is beautiful. You can sit on the deck, read a book and hear the birds. It’s very peaceful. Also you can go hiking in the woods on a trail which begins near the house. There is a lake with picnic tables two miles away. Charming town center with several restaurants, art shops and antique shops. Great location.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Great property. Owners proved very accomodating and helpful (i.e. quite nice people). The property literally has "million dollar views" and is located in the heart of Windham village - mere minutes from the ski mountain. The interior design is impeccable, clean and like a trip back in time (think high-design 1970's decor with original furnishings in outstanding condition). Truly a memorable property to experience.....I have stayed in a number of the most regarded properties in Windham over the years and this is candidly one of the most memorable properties you can rent) The house is set on the top of a hill located on a private estate-like setting in the heart of the village. This is a great place to stay during the summer and one of the best places to stay in the winter months...you can't go wrong staying here for the money.Did you find this review helpful? Very nice private setting in a self-contained "chalet" with a European feel. Sparkling clean with plenty of room. Splendid view towards the mountains and ske slope. Located near a neat little art-oriented village.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed here in february of 2006 & it was wonderful. We were very comfortable. it had the perfect amount of space & storage and all the comforts of home. the living area was large - plenty of room to hang out and for all our ski stuff and the kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed for long weekends away. We had a great time at the house and on the mountain. The mountain is extremly close-less than a 5 minute drive; and the owners were very helpful in providing all the information needed regarding the home and area information. (Thanks for a great stay)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
