Enjoy a dream vacation in our spacious, comfortable home. It offers large rooms for everyone to gather, and private areas for private talks and intimate walks.
The 5/BRM 3/BA home is steps from the world famous Hawaii's Big Island historic Kealakekua Bay. People from all over the world come here to enjoy swimming in the warm clear bay water, snorkeling with colorful tropical fish, turtles, and the spinner dolphins.
'Hale Maluhia La‘a' (home of sacred peace,)is a wonderful beach house, nestled among a lush green tropical paradise, along with banana, papaya and fragrant plumeria flowers. A large green lawn surrounds the family (ohana) home, just a few hundred beautiful steps from the bay. Swim with spinner dolphins, go snorkeling in the bay. After a swim, rinse off in the Outdoor Shower.
This beautiful home has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a 3rd floor Great room, and an upper and lower lanai (patio). There is an Elevator to the second floor for those in need.
Sip your Kona coffee on the lanai, or in the Great room.
The Great room is also a wonderful class or dorm room for groups or families. It is a great game room for the kids, while the adults relax on the lanai.

2]- The Upper House (2nd & 3rd floors), 3bedrooms 2 baths
3-]Or the Lower Apartment (1st floor) 2 bedrooms 1 bath
The first floor apartment (first floor) has 2 bedrooms, one bath, living room-kitchenette apartment, with a separate garden and lanai.
The upper house (second floor) has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen with blue pearl granite counters which is open to the living room and lanai, and a 3rd floor Great room. The home can be rented together with the lower adjoining apartment, for larger groups, families, or separately. They join together with an inner stairway.
The Great room (Third floor) has gorgeous views of the ocean (makai), Captain Cook’s monument across Kealakekua Bay, and the mountains (mauka), and the tropical sky.

Our stay was a balanced combination of relaxing and exciting. As a chef I found everything I needed in the kitchen for cooking as well as fine dining. The owner also provided furniture for comfortable lounging and equipment for snorkeling - which we did at the incredible nearby beaches. The coral reefs were amazing! We even experienced the miracle of swimming with the dolphins and turtles. The house was clean, spacious and well maintained and the artist in me was aesthetically pleased. We slept comfortably and peacefully and awoke to the beauty of the birds and the flowers. For additional entertainment I would recommend an evening at the ukulele bar sipping the local brew and tasting the appetizers they offered. We listened and participated in making music with the exceptionally friendly native musicians. Also, we went to a couple of nearby restaurants suggested by the owner (sorry I can't remember the names) and very much enjoyed our meals. At times the environment inspired me to write poetry and to be introspective. I would definitely return to stay in this perfect vacation rental. The only shortcoming was not planning to stay long enough.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This recent experience was a dream come true for me and my family. Not only were the rooms of the lovely, well-appointed house and property true to the displayed photos in the listing, but the warm, homey atmosphere added much to our stay as well. I especially like the spacious, well-equipped kitchen and dining area where meals were prepared and eaten in an elegant, yet relaxed environment. In addition, the spaciousness of the entire house allowed everyone in my family to have sufficient room to move about without being on top of another; this was important for my teen-age children! I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative for all the reasons above, and also because it is a rental well-maintained, close to the beach and has the feeling of "home" rather than a rental.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

I can’t wait to return, thank you, your home is beautiful. The location is perfect. It will be a memorable vacation, for all of us for many years to come, from my parents to our children’s children. We all had fun. The house is perfect for our extended group. And the Bay..The dolphins and Kayaking was spectacular! My parent’s held hands and walked everywhere, and enjoyed the sunsets.. If you want to shop, join the crowds..hop in the car go up the road….then return..thankful that you are home again…rejuvenating, renewing being happy again.
