  This condo was exactly what we needed, an efficient, clean, secure place from which to explore the south and east sides of Hawaii. Excellent access to Volcanoes National Park, about 90 minutes to Hilo one way. The black sand beach is very cool, but the surf very rough. I managed to get in a snorkel with the turtles anyway :) The property was private, the neighbors pleasant, our only gripe might be the laundry, which I think was $4/ load in quarters only, and didn't have (or sell) detergent or a coin machine. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

  Nice place for 2 people. The only thing we disliked was the louvered windows did not all work and there were no shelves in the medicine cabinet. Ig the owner would correct these two things it would be a GREAT PLACE.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

  Owner response: I will put in a request to the Condo Association to get on the ball and fix the windows...as for the shelves in the bathroom...thanks for the info...perhaps the painters forgot to put them back in...we'll address that ASAP

  Very close to the black sand beach (Punalu'u beach) where we had daily green turtle sightings. Unit was as described - basic but sufficient accommodations, very affordable and on nice grounds. Internet/cable worked perfectly. Lanai had ocean views and was nice place to eat dinner. BBQ was at pool/shared with other units, but there was never a wait and other guests were friendly/sociable. It was very windy when we visited so were unable to swim at the beach, so appreciated the on-site pool and hot tub (clean, not crowded). Overall, a very good value.

  This is a very nice place near Black Sands Beach. We were able to see turtles in the water and on the beach. The price was great, much better than staying at a hotel. There's a kitchen that's not pictured (frig, stove, dish washer). The salad spinner was a nice touch. The cable TV and wireless Internet works great. The owner was fast at getting back to me with my reservation. The location is great for visiting the volcano park. It's remote and quit where you won't find crowds of tourists or shopping malls. You can get groceries just up road (6 miles) at Pahala.

  Far exceeded my expectations. Unit was superb. Looks much better than the pictures posted on site. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
