Wouldn't recommend

The condo was as depicted in the photographs, but the carpets were dirty (pretty typical of rentals, though). Agree with the other review that the noise level in the condo above us was loud - heavy walkers and jumpers in the middle of the night- which may not be so much the fault of the tenants above but due to the inferior construction of the condo. We rented from Sunday to Sunday and had to call the owner on Friday because we ran out of toilet paper. He assured us that a maid would deliver but that never happened. So, as far as amenities you might want to be sure to bring your own TP. We left the condo in pristine condition, so finally, after being home for a couple of weeks we inquired about our security deposit. Surprise! were told it was mailed just that day with apologies for the delay. Well, now it is 6 weeks since we have been home and still no security deposit returned. When I inquired again we were given the explanation to wait it out - that it was mailed to us from "The States." Funny thing, though, we live in the U.S.! So while we were told that the security deposit check was mailed to us with "VOID" written on it we really don't know what happened to it. The lackadaisical response from the owner to our request for a needed supply coupled with having to ask for our security deposit back and never receiving it make this a "Not Recommended" place to stay.

Owner response:We take all survey feedback serious and do our best to address all concerns. Our goal is to have families enjoy their stay and return as may of our clients do. I'd like to address a couple of the items noted below. For security purposes, cheques are mailed to our renters in a plain white envelope to the address provided to us and we write the word VOID on the cheque, so nobody can cash the cheque. In this case, once we were notified that the cheque was not delivered by the post office, we suggested the renter cancel the cheque as a second level of security. But having the words VOID on the cheque make it non-cashable. With regards to the carpets, the summer and winter seasons are very busy times for us with back to back rentals. To maintain our condo we have hired professional cleaners, to clean after every rental to ensure the condo is clean. After each season we steam clean the carpets to prepare for the next season. Please keep in mind our condo is not a hotel so we don't offer unlimited consumable products. Our VRBO listing provides a list of the items we do provide. But on your arrival, as a courtesy we provide some basic consumables. We understand that renters may forget to pack items like TP and so we provide 6-8 rolls get them started. It is difficult to provide an unlimited amount of consumables as we try to keep our prices down.

Marie, I wanted to thank you for accommodating our last minute request. Your flexibility allowed our family to enjoy a well deserved long weekend. The pool was well kept and your unit was clean and comfortable. Our 2 young children entertained themselves in the kids pool, while we were able to relax in the larger adjacent pool. The DVD player kept the kids busy and internet allow us to stay connected. Once again, Thank you.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with young children.

We are excited to have booked the True Blue Vacations unit again for May 2011. We stayed there in 2009 and had a great time. The unit and grounds were clean and well maintained, spacious and beautifully decorated. The location is great. Fun view of the golf course from the patio! Loved the complimentary wine. We have recommended this vacation spot to other people, and will continue to do so.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

caution for future renters

We rented this townhome during the "Family Day" long weekend. And since this is a bottom unit the noise level is unbelievable from upstairs. I would strongly caution you in renting if you value your sleep. The people from upstairs do not stop playing loud music, dancing and talking really loud ALL NIGHT LONG! Even after we have asked them to turn it down. In addition, the owners did not resolve this problem to our satisfaction. So, we are strongly warning you in renting this place!

Owner response:We have been renting out our condo since 2005 and have never had an issue that has escalated to this level. Typically as soon as there is an issue, we are notified and we take steps to address it immediately. The Snowbridge community is a family orientated community and we have had many satisfied and repeat renters.
