We were there for Sewanee Parents Weekend - our last! The cabin is very comfortable - stocked with all the trappings for a restorative weekend. Hot tub, fireplace, front porch, bikes - what more could you need? It's also convenient to campus as well as restaurants. We would stay there again.

Highly recommended. Loved the cabin. Wife kept adding days; luckily available. Owner very responsive. Open ceiling added to feeling of spaciousness. Just about everything is furnished; a bit weak on cooking gear (frying pan, please!) Linens very nice; bed very comfortable. Bathroom clean. City water. "Pool table" should be described better, it's only 48 inches. TV set could upgrade to LCD. No phone, no internet. Great porch! Totally private setting; might be able to see another house when all leaves are fallen (100 yds away). Clifftops is a great "woodsy" community; this cabin is all the way near the back of it. Narrow, well kept paved road. Much wildlife. Community pool looked nice. Community lake looked good for easy kayaking If you are not looking for "Gatlinburg Family Fun"-- mini-golf, big attractions, big crowds --then consider this area. Understand, there is NOT a lot of commercial stuff to do around Monteagle. And you don't have the Smoky Mtns (but some quality hiking is nearby in South Cumberland State Park). However, very easy to get there (from Nashville). And for "developed, touristy fun" Chattanooga is not far.
Owner response:Glad you had a good time! We'll definitely make good on your suggestions. It's definitely not a Gatlinburg - traffic, tourist/crowds on top of you, non-stop going - going - going! It is a true TN GETAWAY! Thanks for staying with us!

To John & Family, Our whole family, Marie, Bob, our daughter Kim, son-in Law Erik and Granddaughter Ali fell in love with Kelly's Kabin. It was everything we had hoped for and then some. It was as described, very clean, comfortable beds cozy and very relaxing. We were In TN for our niece's wedding at All Saint's Chapel on the campus of The University of The South. The wedding was wonderful and the chapel was magnificent. We would recommend visiting the campus at Sewanne and eating at The Blue Chair and Shenanigan's. We also shopped at Taylor's Gift Shop in Sewanne and found some really nice things. Erik loved walking and running around the Kabin area. He met and spoke with other Clifftop dwellers and enjoyed it greatly. Ali loved seeing all the deer as we left for our trip back she counted her last 3 deers, one being a baby for a total of 27. We made a game of the 5 mi. drive from the main highway to the Kabin. She pretended it was a roller coaster ride. The pool was very nice, the lookout was beautiful and the lake area was gorgeous. All in all in our busy and funny filled weekend with family and friends Kelly's Kabin was a little piece of heaven for peace and relaxation. Just one small observation, the screen doors on the Kabin do need to be re-screened other than that everything was just perfect. We would reccommend Kelly's Kabin to anyone in a heartbeat.. John thank you so much for everything you were great. If our travels bring us your way again we will stay at the Kabin again. Marie, Bob & Family

The cabin was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hottub was great & very clean and the beds & matresses were good. Just a couple of negatives that did not ruin our stay, but for the rental price we would not have expected: the screen was out of the back door, microwave is broken, and the kitchen was not equiped with dishes and silverware for six people.

Kelly's Kabin would be an excellent weekend getaway or accommodations while visiting Sewanee. Plenty of privacy for visiting and relaxing. The hot tub is nice & clean. Clifftops Resort is really NICE. Driving through it was such a surprise-- sort of like being in the Smoky Mountains without the crowds! Lots of wildlife, too.. We saw several deer and even a red fox. In summer I bet the lake & canoes would be great fun! We love to eat at Papa Ron's, and for those special occasions- "High Point". John, thanks for all your help and quick responses!

Everything was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and peace. We definitely loved the hot tub (there appears to be a small leak - water on the patio) Can't wait to come back.
