The location, a huge 4500 acre gated community just South of Tamarindo on Costa Rica's beautiful Guanacaste coast, is just part of this dream vacation. Situated at a 10 minute drive from Tamarindo along the 3 miles of shoreline are 6 beaches, two of which are considered to be some of the best breaks in all Costa Rica. These beautiful Villas, two of the most exclusive Costa Rica vacation homes, are about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach.
We have 2 villas for rent each with 2 and 3 bedrooms, 3 and 4 baths in Jardines de Palma Real complex and a 3 bedroom, 3 bath house with a private pool in Reserva de golf.
These spacious, 3000 and 3500 square foot villas, have two and three bedrooms, each bedroom with a private bath; a chef's kitchen (with a local cook available if you like) is perfect for a couple who like their privacy, a family or a nice group. The Colonial style villas boast vaulted ceilings, hand-crafted doors and elegant wood detailing.
The open floor plan of both villas connects the living room with an open kitchen, all flowing out to a great sitting patio with grass for laying or playing just off the patio. The second floor contains the spacious master with a large bath, complete with jetted tub for relaxing the sore muscles after the surfing day.
The floor plan of these exclusive Costa Rica vacation homes includes:
1 Bedroom on the 1st floor, Master bedroom on the 2nd floor, 3rd bedroom on the 2nd floor (3 bedroom villa Colibri only). Each bedroom has a full bathroom, Master bathroom has a jacuzzi, Guest bathroom on the 1st floor, Kitchen, Dining Room, Great Room, Laundry Room, Terrace with views of tropical gardens, Balcony with partial views of the Pacific Ocean (Villa Colibri), Sitting Areas on both levels. The two bedroom villa de los Sueños has a wonderful view of the ocean.
Also on the second floor is an entertainment room with satellite, high-speed wireless internet connection , DVD and surround sound system. We love the nature, but we also want this to be a dream home away from home with modern conveniences.
The house in Reserva the golf has a nicely designed open plan to access from most areas of the home the private pool and gardens. The outdoors in this truly unique home has been incorporated into the master bath shower with a beautifully designed garden and into the living areas allowing the air to flow freely from the kitchen to the living rooms and dining room. The master bedroom is located on the main floor and open to the garden and pool.

Our stay at Villa Colibri was outstanding. The house is perfectly situated for beach going, adventuring seeking, surfing, and visiting all the nearby sights. While we stayed there we were able to go horse back riding at the wonderful facilities inside Pinilla. We were able to see so many animals that my kids had a hard time keeping track of them. This house is perfect of families and has a great layout, and very close to the pool. It is an easy drive into town to get things you need and there are great restaurants inside Pinilla. The surf is fantastic and since the beach is so secluded you have the break to yourself. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in the area. It is pura vida!

I spent a week here with my son and his girlfriend because we were attending a wedding. We had an amazing time at this beautiful, clean and fully equipped villa. The pool, Marriott and beach are all within walking distance. We swam, played golf and went horseback riding on the Hacienda. It was peaceful, quiet and the weather was perfecto! All the information presented on this website and provided by the management company was accurate, with no surprises. The management company was available to answer any questions I had before and during my stay. One suggestion I have is that you really do need a car. I am definitely planning on going back. Pura Vida.
Owner response:It's comforting knowing that our guests enjoy the Hacienda and the Villa. Car is a must I agree, to be able to visit most places at the Hacienda and near towns like Tamarindo and Avellanas. There is a lot to see and enjoy!

Nos agrada mucho pasar vacaciones en Hacienda Pinilla, no es la primera vez que lo hemos hecho. Es un sitio con muy buena localizacion que se ajusta bien a personas de todas las edades. Hay atracciones propias en la Hacienda para adultos, jovenes y menores. Los jovenes y adultos se pueden divertir en las playas y pueblos cercanos de manera sana. El club de playa es muy agradable y la piscina, gym y otros en la Villa son muy buenos. La Villa Colibri requiere de mejor limpieza a la llegada del huesped y quizas algo de mantenimiento. Encontramos comida en el refrigerador, en los anaqueles de cocina y algunas pertenencias de otros huespedes anteriores bajo las camas (medias y zapatos). Hay bastante polvo en anaqueles superiores y estantes que le causaron alergia asmatica a uno de mis hijos. Nada grave. Aun con estos inconvenientes volveria a Hacienda Pinilla e inclusive ya lo he recomendado a un buen amigo para sus vacaciones de Navidad. Detalles pequennos pueden mejorar la estadia en la Villa. La persona con quien hicimos contacto para la renta de Villa Colibri fue muy amable y atendio con atencion nuestras sugerencias.(Very Good Customer Service)
Owner response:Gracias a nuestros huespedes por sus palabras de cortesia. La limpieza de Villa Colibri no ha sido antes un problema. En general las chicas que hacen la limpieza en la villa dedican mucho tiempo para implementar una limpieza impecable. Lamentablemente el fin de semana de esta estadia tuvimos un equipo de limpieza que necesitaba hacer chequeo de algunas villas y pensamos que ese debe haber sido el problema por la falta de detalle que experimentaron los huespedes. Trataremos de que en la siguiente ocasion se limpie impecablemente la cocina que es lo que al parecer dio mas trabajo y posiblemente no se lucio como de costumbre. Esperamos que este pequeno inconveniente no deje de atraer a muchos huespedes que alquilan nuestras villas por ser lujosas, de excelente calidad y localizadas en el extraordinario Resort: Hacienda Pinilla.

Una semana maravillosa en esta hermosa villa , esta muy bien equipada ,el servicio diario de limpieza muy bueno.Excelente ubicacion ,tiene hermosas playas cerca, La fiesta de fin de año en el Beach Club fue un exito. The villa was beautiful. The other residents were friendly and fun. Don't miss Lola's restaurant. The information packet was very useful. Go to the grocery store that is in Tamarindo instead of the closer one. It is much better. The restaurant at Hotel Posada (sp?) was amazing! J.W.Marriott had an amazing pool. I heard it was the biggest in Central America. I would definitely stay here again.
Owner response:Now there are many bigger grocery stores available in Tamarindo and Huacas. The closer one is a bit small and has not as good selection as the other ones.

We had a wonderful stay, the villa and the community were more than we expected. The golf course was in great shape and the location of the villa allowed for many activities during our stay. We highly recommend stayung within the Hacienda Pinilla Community.

We rented Villa Colibri at Hacenda Pinilla for five weeks in February and March of 2010. Our experience there was excellent on all counts. The villa is located in the secure Palma Real development at Hacienda Pinilla. It is a very peaceful setting and very close the beaches. The home itself was wonderful and well situated close to the Palma Real pool and fitness center – both of which were rarely occupied so they felt like private facilities. Our dealings with Veronica Kauffman, the landlord, were always top notch from start to finish. If we had any questions or problems while we were at the villa she responded to them immediately. Grethel, the housekeeper, was astonishing in her excellence! She worked VERY hard to ensure a clean home from top to bottom. An added pleasant surprise were the regular visits by the bakery truck from La Panaderia Alemana (German bakery). It's an easy run into Tamarindo for restaurants as well as shopping a Automercado, a terrific grocery store. Also, the new beach club at Hacienda Pinilla was fantastic. Wonderful folks manage and run the pool, restaurant, and bar there and we spent a LOT of time there. Restaurants we enjoyed include those at the nearby Marriott, Dragonfly in Tamarindo, Mar y Sol in Playa Flamingo, and, of course, Lola's down on Playa Avellanas. Several others, of course, but these stand out. Also, in Villa Real is a fun vegetable stand on Mondays where you can also buy fish. One bit of advice: rent a car upon arrival, you'd be fairly stranded without one. Driving is just fine in Costa Rica. We are strongly considering renting this home again for an even longer stay.

The villa was nicely appointed and just a few steps to the beautiful pool. Nice relaxing location and feel. Great getaway location. It is perfect spot for a surfing vacation with great on community access to Playa Avellanas. We were very happy and satisfied with our stay in this beautiful villa and community.

Excellent vacation! Villa is beautiful and well equipped. It is a great place for a peaceful vacation surrounded by amazing landscape and beautiful beaches (great for kids and also surfers). If you like to jog, you will have plenty of places to go within the development. It is a very safe area. You can also drive to several towns or popular beaches in the Guanacaste area.

Great getaway! The beautiful pool is 50 feet away. The beach is a five minute walk, drive if you prefer. Spectacular beaches are everywhere. Some of the beaches even have restaurants right on the beach. The horesback riding was fantastic, only a five minute drive away. Our kids had a fantastic time. Rent a car, explore Tamarindo and the coastline nearby. It is paradise, and the locals are lovely people. You are gonna love this one!
