The Nantahala National Forest surrounds this custom-designed, one-of-a kind, log cabin sitting on the edge of FIRE'S CREEK RECREATIONAL AREA. Every inch of this cabin was touched by a third generation woodworker. Logs were hand planed. Hardwood floors were hand polished. Wooden accents of cedar, walnut, cherry, and rhododendron were added throughout the house.
The cabin is centered on a four-acre lot which includes a natural spring and flowing branch. A walking trail winds aroung the property. Three walking bridges cross over the rippling branch to the natural spring. The natural forest floor was preserved to protect the native wildflowers, trees, and bushes. Ferns and mushrooms abound. Blackberries and elderberries ripen in season. Birds fill the woods. Stars twinkle in the dark night skies. The PEACE AND QUIET surround you while you rock on the porch, hike the trails,or fish the creeks.
The renown native trout waters of Fire's Creek and the Rim Trail are minutes away. Mountain communities of Hayesville and Brasstown are ten minutes away. Murphy and Hiwassee are 30 minutes down the road. The cabin is easily accessed on paved roads, but the setting gives you the feel of being deep in the woods. The natural beauty awakens your senses. |
