Reviews tell it all. Picture yourself sitting in our lake view home with family or friends while enjoying the view of Pinecrest Lake. Just staying in our home is a vacation in itself. The house is surrounded by tall pines and mountain laurel in the central part of the Poconos. Every possible need seems to be taken care of--comfortable seating and beds, fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, gas grill, boats, and pet friendly (see details). It is our intent to create a warm, welcoming and comfortable mountain home. Children love our Snoopy and Friends Bunk Bedroom; Sun/Game room with lake view; 40" Flat Screen TV with DVD in Living Room. Our home is part of Pinecrest Lake’s private community with amenities (heated mountainside pool (summer), lake, fishing, tennis (spring until fall), volleyball, picnic area, 2 trail bikes, hiking trails, use of our kayak and canoe plus more. Our home provides comfort and style and is one to four miles to restaurants, grocery store, post office, convenience and gas station—but you would never know it once you drive into the Pinecrest community.
The cottage is surrounded by pines, oaks, mountain laurel, ferns and provides a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. You are about 150 feet from the 77 acre spring fed lake. It is a short stroll to the cross country hiking trails along a brook, ice skating area, lake, beach, marina and other amenities. The cottage provides comfort, style and convenience and is perfect for vacationing and/or entertaining for one or two families.
Walk into a large welcoming foyer with storage compartments for coats, hats, boots, luggage, etc. Cathedral ceilings, skylights, lighted ceiling fan, wood plank flooring. A wood burning stone fireplace accents the living room's conversation grouping of furniture: queen sleeper sofa, love seat, swivel chairs, ottoman, and a bean bag chair. The TV, DVD, stereo are located opposite the fireplace and one just has to swivel the leather chairs for easy viewing.
The fully-equipped kitchen offers guests many amenities (new Ceramic Top Range & side by side Refrigerator with bottom freezer and ice maker, cookware, over the range microwave, ice cube maker, dishwasher) needed to cook their favorite meal. Twelve place settings of Pfalzgraft dishes and glassware are provided. In the corner of the kitchen area is a cushioned booth for cozy and comfortable place to eat, do a crossword puzzle, etc or you can sit at the breakfast bar counter with seating for four. If you choose to cook outside, fire up the new grill on the deck.
The Dining Room has French Doors that close for privacy and it becomes a multipurpose room with its full-size sleeper sofa for extra guests and a bookcase with games and reading material for those quiet days or listen to CDs. This is a wonderful gathering area for reading, playing games of just relaxing looking at the lake. There is a table that converts for bumper pool or poker.
The cottage has three wall-to-wall carpeted bedrooms. The Denim and Paisley master bedroom (new Woolrich bedding as of 4-2010) has a queen bed with a private bathroom. The second bedroom decorated in a "Woolrich Bear" theme has twin beds. The Charlie Brown and Snoopy bedroom has sturdy and functional bunk beds with an additional single bed for relaxing or sleeping. All bedrooms have a TV and DVD Players. Adjacent to the bedrooms is the second bathroom with a tub and shower. A stacked washer/dryer is conveniently located in an insulated closet off the bedrooms.
There is a one car garage which provides convenient sheltered storage for your car, bicycles (2 trail bikes are provided), fishing rods (2 are provided), chairs, ice skates (some sizes), etc. There is plenty of parking in the circle driveway and in front of the cottage. Remember while staying our Pinecrest Lake cottage, you are only a short walk to the hiking and cross country skiing trails, the marina (canoe and kayak are provided with life jackets), beach and recreation center and only 150 feet to the 77 acre lake so you can leave the car at the cottage while enjoying Pinecrest's amenities.
Pinecrest Lake Community is a private community that provides many services including firewood (mid November to mid February) trash pick-up twice a week, city water and sewer, landscaping and in the winter snowplowing and shoveling. We just returned from a week's stay in June 2008. We loved the house - our entire family particularly loved the cozy dining/sitting room and its great views of the lake. We really appreciated your home's amenities (the wonderful kitchen, comfy beds and chairs, great deck and grill), as well as all the thoughtful details like the booster seat, children's toys, great reading lights and tvs in the bedrooms, and the local newspapers and information on the community that you had throughout the house. The Pinecrest community was great. My dad enjoyed his morning stroll through the woods and around the lake, my mom spent countless hours sketching the outdoors from the dining room, and our toddler loved the pool and lake (as did all the adults). Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and nice. We also loved your suggestions on where to eat - the 2-2-2 breakfast at the Jubilee was a hit with everyone.

What a great week we had in Pinecrest Lake....The home exceeded our expectations, very well kept, clean, cozy, spacious...and in the perfect location...30 second walk to the beautiful lake, 5 minute walk to the pool, 3 minute walk to the Marina...5 minute drive to a fantastic restaurant (Jubilee)...10 minute drive into town.........quite convenient.. The community was peaceful, quiet, serene, upscale & pretty as a picture....loved the trails for morning walks...the fishing was awesome, I caught @ least 10 largemouth Bass...... Dealing with Connie was the best part, she is a pleasure to deal with...I wish I was still sitting on the deck gazing at the lake....I will most certainly be back.... If you are thinking of renting this house, I would not hesitate, It is really a special property...... Thanks Connie Kenny

My husband, mother-in-law and three sons just returned from a very enjoyable, fun and relaxing summer vacation here in this lovely, charming home, which has every amenity. The Rowells are so nice and Connie has thought of everything. No need to ask a question because every bit of information you will need or think of has been answered and Connie has it conveniently displayed in the home. The spaces I enjoyed most were the sunroom and the deck. My boys love the pool and the lake, which is in walking distance of the home. The scenery is beautiful all around Pinecrest Lake and the community. Other activities we enjoyed that are conveniently nearby, ice cream, mini golf and camel beach water park. We will definitely be back again. Thanks again Connie for helping to make our family vacation very memorable.

This is the 2nd year we rented this property. The owners are wonderful people and we love the house and the location. It is located in an upscale Lake community with all the amenities and no hassle of a gated entrance.. The weather was perfect. Loved the new appliances! Megan & Joe Rooney

Couldn't have been happier with the accomodations, location, and the hospitality. We came up for a long weekend over the Superbowl. The path to the lake was really helpful. The kids played ice-hockey right on the lake and we could see them from the sun room. The house is so cozy we really didn't want to leave. The kitchen table with the bench was perfect for all the kids while the adults enjoyed eating in the sunroom looking out at the beautiful view. We loved being able to bring our dog and not have to feel guilty leaving her at home. The entire area around the house was well maintained, quiet, and everything we could've asked for. Can't wait to come back!

We had a WONDERFUL long Ski Weekend at the house - 27 - 30 Jan 2011. Convient Location: Close to I 80 and I 380, Roads were well maintained by the community with all the snow we experienced House was very private but accessable; Warm and well appointed - (new high-end appliances were really nice). Useful Mudroom for entry and exit into the elements. Great walks around the lake with the dog and to enjoy nature.

"We spent a long weekend with our son & 2 granddaughters who live in NE Pa... The house worked beautifully so much better than a motel.(no traffic or road noise but with space & privacy) It even gave us the opportunity to have extended family visit. The house is comfortable, roomy, well stocked with quality items as advertised.. (we've stayed in other vacation rentals before and were disappointed with "early college" dishes & furnishings). Connie couldn't have been more accommodating with any request or question we had. Unfortunately, because of our short time there we weren't able to take advantage of the amenities but we will on our return! We did enjoy walks to the lake and around the neighborhood. (very friendly) The house is convenient to some good restaurants.. Amando's Pizza & Bailey's Steak & Seafood, Close to grocery stores. we would not only recommend this home but will stay there again."
