I highly reccomend this property. We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend for 4 nights. First off, the location is amazing. We walked everywhere especially for Black Friday. We were 2 block from Water Tower and close to all the great Chicago Restaurants. Secondly, you feel very safe because there is a 24 hour doorman. Our 2 kids - 11, 14 - had never been in a high rise where they stayed on the 48th floor. They kept the blinds open when they slept because they thought the lights and buildings were amazing. You even have a view of Lake Michigan. Thirdly, the parking spot was great. No extra costs to the vacation. We only pulled out the car to visit family, otherwise we walked or took a cab. Lastly, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen were modern. We only made breakfast in the morning, but that alone was a huge savings! We look forward to our next stay!!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere and had great fun taking the architectural river tour, a play about the Chicago Fire at the Waterworks, shopping Magnificent Mile, riding the double decker bus and taking in the beautiful restaurants and bars. Our only recommendation is to let people know on your website that the picture shown is one of the condos available. We expected the penthouse that was in the picture and it was not that one. It wasn't a problem for us but its good to know what exactly to expect. We had a great girlfriend get away and would stay again next time we head to Chicago. Friends from Mpls

Our stay at the Penthouse was perfect. From booking to the ease of getting into the penthouse. It is absolutely beautiful with the best views in the city. What a great value for the quality of the decor and upgrades throughout. We will definitely to continue to come to the Penthouse on Huron. Jim and Jeri are so nice to work with and the details and promptness of their emails were perfect. Again, I say "The Perfect Place".

This was my first time in Chicago and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Also the condo has a parking space, saved us around $400 in parking alone! Almost everything was in walking distance (food, shopping, attractions). My friends and I loved the view and accommodations! If you you look out the window you see the Hancock tower only 3-4 blocks away! The Magnificent Mile is only 1-2 blocks away! It was nice to come back to this great condo after running all over Chicago all day. We tried 4 different deep dish pizza places (Uno's, Giordanos, Gino's East, and Lou Malnati's) all great places. The best for crust and sauce was Uno's and the best all around was Giordanos. If you want to do alot of sight seeing get a Chicago Go Card, it gets you in to 28 different attractions including boat tours, which were awesome! You can purchase and pick up the cards at Water Tower place right in front of the Hancock tower. All around this was the best trip I have had in a long time and staying here made it so easy to do what we wanted to do! Thanks to Jim and Jeri-Lou!

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday with a trip to Chicago. Prior to this visit we had not visited Chicago. We flew into O'Hare. Jeri Lou & James gave us excellent directions to travel by subway & bus to the condo located @ 30 E. Huron. The trip took approximately 45 min/1 hr. We arrived unrattled and in good humor. The condo was immaculate and furnished beautifully. The view was tremendous. A 48th floor, corner positioned condo, provided a panoramic view of the Chicago skyline. Lake Michigan was viewable as well. We were joined by a second couple arriving by train. They enjoyed a brief taxi drive to the condo. The magnificent mile shopping, great dining and easy access to selected tours, were within a four/five block radius of the condo. We picked up the Red Line to Wrigley field a couple of blocks from the condo. The comfortable living area with 50" plasma tv provided a good entertainment area after a full day of activity. The condo was furnished with all the amenties required for break away vacation or week-end. We will definitely recommend 30 E Huron to our friends and family when they are visiting Chicago. Jeri Lou and James are excellent hosts and fulfilled all elements of the contract before and after our visit.

I have been in the apartment with my family for one week started 1st of September 2011.It was a wonderful place to stay at, clean and well equipped, the only thing we have to buy is our food and drinks from the supermarkets and restaurants near by. Shopping was pleasant with few minutes walking to the main shopping stores. We have felt that we were at our home. Our stay in the condo compared to our trips to Europe is totally different - we thought it will be as condos in Europe -were none of them was clean and the furniture was mot as seen in the photos. Regarding the questions in the Review tips & Guidelines the answer for all of them is Yes. We were surprised from the owners concern. The only thing which annoyed us is that we have to leave at 10:00 o'clock am and our flight was at 8:00 pm of the same day. I do understand the point of view of the owners but it was a difficult experience for us. I should say to them thanks again for everything.

Traveled from the suburbs with 2 close friends for a two night getaway. Jim and Jeri-Lou's 2 bedroom condo was perfect. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. They have thought of everything. Even the living room sofa sleeper is the most comfortable. It has a built in aero mattress! You will not be disappointed with this unit.

We will add to all of the other great reviews by saying that this place is wonderful!! It is very comfortable, fully stocked, a great location and much more! The owners were always quick to respond to all emails and they made the VRBO rental experience simple and pleasant. The condo has an amazing view and also a nice pool! It is a very short walk to Michigan Ave., the subway, grocery stores, and delicious restaurants. Our three children thought the condo was "awesome" and we all spent lots of time just staring out the windows at the beautiful views. We enjoyed a great family vacation there and we will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is planning a trip to Chicago. Wish we were still there!

Wonderful unit with views galore. This unit is located in a high rise building with great parking included. Arrival details were a little confusing, but the owners explained everything perfectly and contacted us to make certain we understood how to access. Traveling with an older relatives we needed a unit that was centrally located and walking distance to everything. The entrance to the train was only three easy walking blocks away. Trader Joe's, two blocks away had everything we needed for great in-unit breakfasts. Deli located at the corner had wonderful Italian cold cuts and delicious cookies. Watching the sunset from the 48th floor with a glass of wine in hand was fantastic. Amenities were excellent and unit was very clean. Thanks Jeri-Lou and Jim for a great visit. I look forward to a return visit with my adult daughters for a shopping trip! John & Jeannie

I rented this condo for an extended 4th of July holiday with my husband, daughter, 10-year old grandson and his friend plus our 20-year old student from Turkey. I can't say enough good things! The condo was gorgeous and and comfortably accommodated all 6 of us. The view is spectacular! We watched fireworks from the 180 degree view in all directions and as far as our eyes could see. It was quite amazing! We could even see them reflecting off nearby buildings. The furniture was extremely comfortable and the owners spared no expense on amenities. Speaking of owners, Jim and Jeri-Lou were most gracious hosts. They made it very clear that they were available to help if we needed but were definitely not intrusive in any way. Jeri-Lou provided additional information about the city that we found very helpful. The location was wonderful! Lots of stuff in walking distance: great restaurants, upscale shopping, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, etc. The doormen were very nice and helpful and the public areas were great! They have a beautiful pool and several individual barbeque grills with hightop bar seating surrounding each. There are also many round picnic tables with umbrellas available. Several groups can hold parties at the same time. I saw complaints about the elevators in previous reviews and we waited a few times but it was never a huge problem. We also found most of the other tenants to be quite personable. Thank you Jim and Jeri-Lou!

Our family of five stayed in the condo for six nights. It was absolutely perfect for us! It's spacious and comfortable, and the ideal location. The red-line train station (Chicago/State) is only a couple blocks away, which was so convenient. We took the train to Wrigley Field, and down to the museum campus. We walked much of the time, as well, as amazing restaurants are just a short distance away. We would definitely recommend this condo for anyone visiting the city. We hope to be back some day in the future, and now have a place we can call "home" in Chicago. Thanks Jeri-Lou and Jim!

30 East Huron is an ideal location for walking to plenty of Chicago locations: Michigan Avenue, Gold Coast, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, tons of shops, restaurants, and bars (our favorite was Hubbarb Street Inn). Jim and Jeri-Lou were efficient and reliable in booking the condo, and the unit was exactly what we expected and hoped for: big bedrooms, nice bathrooms, comfortable air mattress, incredible city views, great workout room and rooftop deck. For six ladies staying together, we did not feel cramped and would certainly return in the future. Two hotel rooms in the area would have been at least double the cost and not nearly as fun.

Three friends and I stayed in this condo for 2 nights. It was great! You can't beat the location and the owners were great to work with - prompt email responses and I received great arrival instructions via phone & email. The view from the 48th floor I know would've been spectacular - we had rain and fog! The condo was as descibed. The kitchen/living area was actually roomier than I expected. I would stay here again or in any of the owner's other units.

We even used the pull-out couch (which is an aero-bed) and slept so well you wouldn't have known you were on a pull-out!. The location is perfect. You are close to everything including: Michigan Ave., restaurants, bars, grocery stores. The owners were wonderful to work with and everthing was explained in full detail ahead of time. The view from the condo was magnificent. The accommodations were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the heart of downtown Chicago - just a walk a way from many places, and cabs were plentiful. We enjoyed a night at "Howl at the Moon" a Piano Bar, as well as took in the Broadway Play - Billy Elliott. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for our walk down to Navy Pier, and all of the shopping we did. I would definitely consider renting again. Also, the doormen were wonderful, pleasant gentlemen. All in all, we had a fantastic time.

My friend and I spent 5 days in late August. We were stunned by the view and how much condo we got for Less than a good hotel. Check in was a breeze and all of the recommendations were great. We took advantage of the in house movie theater and really had a great night in!!! Had giodonos pizza and spent a day on the ave...a really great time and what a great location to come to!!!! We definitely will return again. Highlights were the tall ships cruise, spending time on rush and walking down by the lake. Though the trip was going to be a shopping trip, that was really the least spectacular part...the food, drink, weather and the gorgeous condo all made for a wonderful extended weekend!! Thank you!!!

We had 4 adults, 2 kids (9 and 7). The 2 bedrooms and sofa worked out beautifully. Really appreciated the 2 bathrooms, too. Fabulous location—Trader Joe's 2 blocks away, loads of restaurants within walking distance, Red Line 2 blocks, Michigan avenue 2 blocks. Spacious with fantastic view of fireworks at Navy Pier and down to Oak St Beach. Only problem we found was the 10:00 check out as we had a 4:20 flight. There is no place to leave the luggage there BUT we found out that American Girl in Water Tower Place has a bag/luggage check room for no charge (but the girl really appreciated the tip we gave her.)

We stayed in this beautiful condo with our four children for our family vacation in Chicago. We wanted to be close to everything, and this place was perfect. The furnishings were extremely nice, yet very welcoming and comfortable. The views were awesome from every window. We were able to walk to the Mag Mile within minutes. We even took a longer walk to Navy Pier. Just a few steps and we could hop on the red line train to the ballparks. The check-in and check-out processes were simple. The covered parking at a reasonable price was a great benefit. All the doormen were very friendly and always recognized that we were guests. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. We would happily stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.

Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment. I must say that this has been one of the best value for money stays I have ever had, and I do travel a fair bit. Highly recommended for holiday and business stay, as it is in the heart of the elite part of Chicago, close to restaurants and shopping. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom, which was really great. The view was awsome, the furniture was classic contemporary. I will recommend this to friends and family who may go to Chicago. Thanks once again

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo unit right in the heart of Chicago. It was two blocks from shopping and good food of all price levels walking distance from the building. Our spring stay brought sunshine and it was delightful to wake up with a cup of coffee in hand and look at the view. Our stay had us meeting our kids who drove in from Indianna. It was very comfortable to sit around the living area rather than crowd into a hotel room. I would do this again any time. The unit was very quiet and we got good night sleeps.

Let me start by saying that I have no complaints about this condo. My mom and 4 sisters loved it as well. When we opened the door to a clean and spacious condo we were in heaven. The view is awesome and the location is absolutely perfect. It is easily accessible to everything. We purchased CTA passes and took the el and busses when we didn't walk. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are complete with whatever you may need. The kitchen has anything you need to drink or eat from. We even used the oven to make cinnamon rolls for breakfast and the microwave for popcorn to watch in front of the huge tv. The trash chute is right outside the door. The doormen were kind and helpful. The pool and patio area we did not use, but wish we would have because it looked nice and refreshing. Oh my gosh I could go on but I don't think there is enough time or space here on this website. Jim and Jeri-Lou were so great and helpful. I love Chicago and I am now spoiled. I will never stay in a hotel again. I would happily rent this condo again and would recommend it to anyone. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me.
