Our first trip to Big Bear Lake!

This was our first trip to Big Bear Lake. We arranged for a group of us (adults and a child) to rent this house for a reunion and I have to say it couldn't have been more perfect. This house is very spacious and cozy. It has all the amenities you would have in your own home. Our group was fairly large and we all had more than plenty of space to move around, enjoy a good movie, sit down and have dinner or just chat by the fire. I am incredibly pleased with the communication between us and the owners, they were so friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. The house is also in a perfect location, near Big Bear Mountain and Summit, near all the stores and restaurants, and the views all around were just breath taking (especially for us, because it was snowing the two days we were up there). I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to have a great experience in the mountains and go snowboarding. We look forward to renting this house again in the future. The entire group was very impressed and pleased. Thank you so much to Anne and her husband for allowing us to rent their home for our travels. Other than being first timers and having to dig our cars out of the snow (LOL) we had a great experience at your house. Thank God you guys had shovels too, otherwise I don't know what we would have done with ourselves :-D Thanks again!

We have stayed in Big Bear 7 times and this cabin is BY FAR OUR FAVORITE CABIN! We have some serious OCDs with with germs and cleanliness and this cabin was extremely clean and neat. The renters was very accommodating and stayed allowed us to call them whenever we had a question about something. They also refunded our deposit very quickly. We loved this cabin and are already making plans to stay here again. We highly recommend this cabin and renter! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great Family Rental

The Welsh cabin is perfect for families. It has all the necessary ammenties (kitchen, washer/dryer, games, toys, sleds, baby high chair & pack 'n play). The main room is great for hanging out and playing games and the fireplace is a perfect set-up and raised up high for kid safety. The garage is a perfect snow staging area, and the layout of the 3 levels with separate room/bathroom on each was great for our group. There were also plenty of sledding hills nearby. We would definitely stay there again!

Home Away From Home

I stayed here with my family and we had a great time! The tri-level house was unique and beds were comfy. Being able to utilize the fridge was nice because we were able to purchase groceries and cook/bbq. The scrabble board that was in the closet provided HOURS of entertainment. Close to restaurants, shops, and the lake. The information book under the coffee table provided sooo much useful info and tips!! We'll definitely be back in the winter!

Relaxing Retreat

What a delightful time, we had staying at this cabin. It was very clean, cute and boasted everything that we needed. The owners were helpful and trustworthy. I would recommend this cabin to my friends and to anyone reading this. The kids (and Grandpa) adored the Alpine Slide. Cruising on the Miss Liberty Boat was enjoyable and the staff friendly. We checked out "Get the Burger", which was highly recommended on-line, and discovered delicious burgers and a very creative/interesting diner decor. We had a great time. Your place was great and equipped with everything we needed. I especially loved the dryer so I dry the gloves and clothes after the boys played in the snow. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook It was nice not having to go out to dinner after skiing all day. The place is defiantly large enough for a couple of families. With a room and a bath on each floor there's plenty of privacy. Great place and I'll pass on the info to friends!

My family and I had a relaxing and wonderful time at this home. It is fully stocked with everything you'd need - and it very clean. I'm a stickler for clean bathrooms/kitchen and I was not disappointed. It was very comfortable and close to all the fun attractions that Big Bear has to offer. There is a little market within walking distance too, which was very handy. Overall a great experience!

3 couples from our Bible Study had the opportunity to rent this cabin. It was wonderful - so clean, well-stocked and great bedrooms! We REALLY appreciated how child-friendly it is. There are baby gates for the sets of stairs, child dishware and even toys/games! The location is perfectly located to so many fun activities as well. Overall, a GREAT experience for a FANTASTIC price.

My family and I spent New Years at the Welsh Cabin. We enjoyed it very much, especialy my 4 year old daughter, she loved the toys and movies. The house is well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, towels and extra napkins. We would love to stay here again.

The home is absolutely beautiful. It's much bigger compared to the pictures, and really comfortable too. It is fully equipped with everything so all you need to bring is food and extra clothes. We came right before Christmas and it snowed both nights. The best part was behind the house there's a really big slope where we spent half the day tubing. The slopes were pretty close by so the drive there isn't bad during the snow. Anne and Jason were very friendly and helpful. A definite recommendation for a winter getaway.

We had a wonderful, comfortable time. Great location. The home was very clean and fully equipped for all our needs. The owner responded quickly to questions and was very courteous and respectful. The information and pamphlets provided in the home was extremely helpful in getting to know the area and finding things to do. I would recommend this property to anyone. Our family stayed in the Welsh Big Bear cabin over Presidents day weekend 2009. we all had a great time playing cards and one marathon monopoly game that lasted until early morning. The cable TV in the living room had every channel imagineable, but we chose to just 'hang out'. the cabin was VERY clean and comfortable, accomodating all 8 of us. the one thing that surprised me was that it didn't feel like a rental cabin, but more like borrowing a friend's cabin. there were extra blankets, towels and the kitchen was better equiped than ours at home. The cabin was also easily accessable with parking for one car in the garage and 1 or 2 in the driveway. All in all it was a great weekend and we look forward to staying here again.

The location for this Big Bear Lake Rental was great! It's near to everything that we needed. The house was just nice for our family. THe children enjoyed the games, toys, and movies that they found from the house. We had a marvelous time and would love to come back in the near future.

I vacation at least once a year (or more) in Big Bear and by far this is the one of the best cabin I stayed at. Compared to the pictures and description, my expectation exceeded when we first arrived. It snowed the weekend we went, so the views from the top floors were beautiful! The house was stock with all the basic amenities to accommodate any type of family. Thank you to the Hughes for making our first snow experience so memorable!

I visited the Welsh home with six other Moms who needed a weekend getaway. We had an amazing time, and we absolutely loved staying in this house. It is clean, roomy, convenient and has so much 'cabin character'. It would be wonderful for 2 families, as well, plenty of room for lots of kids! Also, the owners have created an extremely informative and helpful book of maps, local restaurants and shopping, skiing and other activities. That was great! I would definitely like to stay in the house again.

What a great place to get away from the stress of city life! I really enjoyed the comfy accomodations and the relaxed atmosphere, and my 7-year-old son had a great time sledding. There's hardly a day where he isn't asking when we can go back again!
