Maggie Valley is a great vacation town. It has many restaurants, sports bar, gift shops, Ghost Town amusement park, snow sports at Cataloochie, nearby Harrod's Casino (in Cherokee) Waynesville is only fifteen minutes away and offers unique shopping and a great variety of restaurants
HIGHER GROUND is our own family vacation home. We just added a HOT TUB HOT TUB...WOW!!! We have everything there you need for a relaxing getaway. There is Cable TV, DVD, VHS, Radio, Books, Tons of Games (good old fashioned board games, cards, etc.). We have washer/dryer, iron, etc.

Relaxing time on Higher Ground!

We had 2 families of 4 staying together. It was the perfect set up with 2 seperate living areas. It was very relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable. Real close to downtown, shopping, Tube World, and the ski lodge. The deck has an awesome view !! If you will be there with snow, I highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We will be staying there again next year!! Thanks Chris!

This is truly Higher Ground, We (8) had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The first one we have had in a long time. Lots of things to see and do. Cool nights and pleasant days. We will be back soon, didn't want to come home to hot Florida. Nice to have two living rooms and separate bedrooms for two families.
