The location of Old Florida Village, on the popular and scenic beach-front road Hwy 30-A, is really ideal! The picturesque and charming villages of Grayton Beach, WaterColor, and Seaside are nearby and the great restaurants and shopping of Destin are just a few miles down the road. It is approximately 50 minutes from Fort Walton Beach Airport. This well-maintained and appointed cottage features three bedrooms and two and a half baths. It sleeps 8 (10 using sleeper sofa in living room) in one king, one queen, a twin over full bunk with twin trundle and a queen sofa bed.
Slice of Paradise is a newer (2005), pet friendly (dogs 30 lbs or under only), cottage-style home that is located in a safe area where you and your family can enjoy endless summer time activities. There are eighteen miles of bike paths accessible at the entrance of the neighborhood and Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is just down the street. The beach access across the street is complete with bathrooms, shower, covered picnic area, and parking.
Slice of Paradise is one of the largest three bedroom models in square footage in the village. This Non-Smoking home is beautifully decorated in a West Indies motif with an emphasis on quality and comfort. This fun, cozy get-away boasts three spacious bedrooms and two and one half baths. The house was purposely designed and decorated with two things in mind - comfort and enjoyment. To that end, you will find porcelain tile floors on the first level with carpeted bedrooms on the second level. Porches on both levels - front, rear and side with rockers and Adirondack chairs - are great for catching the sea breezes, reading, barbecuing or simply enjoying each others company. The kitchen is outfitted for the gourmet cook and finished with stainless steel appliances, Corian counter tops and breakfast bar with stools. In addition, there are four combination TVs, DVD/ VCR players to provide entertainment options for the off-beach time of your vacation. CABLE wireless INTERNET ACCESS IS PROVIDED.
The private community pool is just a few houses away and the pristine white sand beaches of the gulf coast are an easy walk or short bike ride of less than .6 mile. There are a multitude of great restaurants in the area, some within walking distance and "Silver Sands", the largest discount mall in the country is a 15 minute drive. Outside summer concerts, local art displays, and trendy shops and eateries are just a short walk at "Gulf Place". These offerings along with golf at nearby "Santa Rosa Golf Club", boasting two holes overlooking the emerald green gulf, and biking/running/walking, are just a few of the entertainment options.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
20% deposit of total rental amount (including cleaning fee, tax and pet fee if applicable) is due along with signed Rental Agreement. Remaining 80% of total rental amount, plus $200.00 refundable security deposit (by separate check) is due 30 days prior to arrival and occupancy.
Cancellations must be made 60 days prior to arrival for refund of deposit less the administration fee of $50.00. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. If you cancel after final payment has been made and if we are able to re-rent the property, your rental fees and deposit will be refunded less the administration fee. Monthly renters who cancel within 120 days of arrival will incur the same penalties as above.
REFUND/SEVERE WEATHER POLICY:
Refunds will not be given for late arrivals or early departures. If hurricanes or other extreme weather conditions occur the County Emergency Management Offices of North West Florida in conjunction with the National Weather Service may issue a mandatory evacuation notice. Only at that time, will refunds be pro-rated from the time of your departure. If no evacuation notice is issued by either of these government agencies and you choose to leave before the end of your reservation or to cancel because of the potential threatening weather, neither refund nor compensation will be made.

We had a wonderful time at "Slice of Paradise" for the week of our wedding! The house was so lovely and the neighborhood was relaxed and peaceful. I loved how it felt residential and less traveled than the other places we have stayed, which were more populated. The weather and beach were perfect the day of our wedding. I felt like we had the beach to ourselves, as there were only a handful of other people at the beach that evening. I could not have wished for anything better!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We spent a week over Spring Break 2011 at a "Slice of Paradise". The home is beautifully decorated and very clean. We spoke to the owner prior to renting and found them to be very friendly and helpful. Although the home is not directly on the beach, it was VERY CONVENIENT to the beaches and bike paths. The pocket of homes where this is located had a great feel. We would highly recommend renting this home. We spent hours on bikes, lots of time at the various beaches and restaurants along 30-A. We also found it convenient to drive into Destin for the outlet mall, movies, mini golf and parasailing! Thumbs up!

We just returned from an eight night stay at this adorable beach home. It is in perfect condition, nicely furnished, very clean and a great location. It exceeded our expectations. I spend 40 nights a year in 4 star hotels in NYC, San Francisco, Chicago etc. None of them compare to the experience we just had. We relaxed and didn't want to leave. We will be back! If you are looking for a beach house, don't pass this one up. We also rented bikes and it was so much fun. This is the perfect location for many activities. What a wonderful time had by my entire family!
