Fabulous Key West Find!

A girlfriend and I spent 5 nights here celebrating our 40th birthdays. We both have high standards and we were both More than impressed. Location was great. We felt safe and it was quiet. Very clean and well stocked. Beautifully decorated, and all new kitchen appliances (pic listed here is old, they are now stainless.) Pool was small but perfect for dipping. Check in and check out was flawless. We easily walked to all Duval attractions (including the pier) without any trouble. Great coffee place on the corner too! A charming cottage with all you could need, for a great price. A keeper for sure!

We loved the house, small but nice pool in a lovely garden. Walking distance to the beach and the shops and restaurants on Duvalstreet. Our four children (age 4, 7 10 and 11) also loved it!

Absolutely adorable!

My husband and I are enjoying a beautiful week here right now. This home does not feel at all like a rental. So cozy and very nicely decorated-it feels like a home! Someone(I assumeDean), put a lot of thought into every little thing here. Location is great on the upper(quieter) end of Duval. The backyard is so pretty- it's like a tropical oasis. Which leads me to my only negative. There is nothing but shade in this yard and being a sun worshipper, that was a bit of a problem. No worries, we simply hopped on our bikes and rode to the beach for a few hours everyday :) Wish we didn't have to leave on Sat...

Wonderful Home - Great Owners

Guest: FamilyOf5 (Illinois)
Date of Stay: 06/13/10 Review Submitted: 07/02/10

Our family of 5 stayed here in June 2010. We had 2 adults and 3 children, ages 7, 9 and 11. This was the perfect house for our family during our visit for a family members destination wedding. The owner (who also happens to be the management company) met us at the house for check-in and was very professional. We loved that they had fresh mangos from the tree in the back yard waiting for us - nice touch and very yummy. The property was very clean and comfortable. Some homes and hotels in the florida area have a mildewy smell because of all of the humidity, but this one did not at all. A big plus for us since our youngest child has asthma (no asthma issues during our stay - yippee). The linens where crisp and clean - always a big plus! We loved the decor and the small pool outside was perfect for a quick cool off and to keep the kids occupied until we ventured out for the day. Someone even came to pull out the garbage cans for us on garbage day, what great service. If I had any suggestions for the owner, it would be to put up some hooks outside to hang up wet towels and suites and maybe a small trash can by the drier to put spent lint in. These things certainly aren't something that made our stay any less enjoyable - just a suggestion. Our days were full of activities and by the time we got back to the house at night we were all exhausted, so we never had a change to write a note in the properties guest book. We just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful stay. We would certainly recommend this property to others.

Best ever

Over the last 30 years, I have stayed at many nice places in Key West, but Coconut Cabana was by far the best. The home is perfect, beautiful, quiet, peaceful and only 1/2 block from Duval. Everything one needs has been tastefully provided. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped. We lived in the pool. The fresh mangoes each day from the back yard tree was a plus. The rear garden is a mini-rain forest. Thank you Dean for making this stay the best ever.

We had a WONDERFUL time in Key West! Coconut Cabana was perfect - loved old town - biked and walked everywhere. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable for our family, 2 adults and 2 teens. Not too far from a little beach, bike rental, the best coffee shop, great restaruants, galleries, the butterfly conservatory - a must! We liked the fact that the house was just off the quiet end of Duval. The owners of the house are very helpful with what "to do" while in Key West. We would definately stay in Coconut Cabana again.

My wife and I, our son and his wife and their 2 young girls just completed a one week stay on January 3rd. Our reservations were handled extremely professionally yet with a personal feel, all was as promised, the house was in excellent condition. The location was convenient but not so near the crazy end of Duval to be a problem. We'd recommend it to anyone and would gladly stay there again if in Key West.
