This amazing new private home is perched on a mountain top with three large decks overlooking treetops, and magnificent views stretching 40 miles down an exquisite valley. Magnificent sunsets enhance the mountain lodge ambiance created by a two story stone fireplace, 20 foot vaulted ceiling great room, huge beams, and unique hardwood flooring.
Slab granite counters, travertine marble, and alder woodwork compliment the beautifully appointed furnishings throughout this spacious home, which boasts a grand piano, two steam showers, a huge rec room, three fireplaces, and an outdoor hot tub.
Privacy and convenience merge in this unique setting next to a secluded mountain trail ideal for snowshoeing, hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, trail-running or leisurely moonlit walks. Situated a short 11 minute drive to Vail, seven minute drive to Beaver Creek, it is possible to hike or snowshoe on this trail to Beaver Creek.
The gourmet kitchen is spacious, elegant, and practical, including a Viking double oven with convection, two microwaves, Wolf gas range, and Sub-Zero refrigerator. Each spacious bedroom suite has spectacular views and an attached full bath. The main master includes a king bed, queen sleeper, fireplace, balcony, elegant bath with two separate vanities, jetted tub, large steam shower. The second master has a balcony, double vanity, large tub, and separate shower. The family room has comfortable sofas that easily can sleep two individuals or children, a wet bar with refrigerator.
The rec room includes a pool table, air hockey, foosball. French doors open onto a large deck with hot tub nestled amidst the trees. A Murphy bed pulls down for additional sleeping, and leather sofas surround the third gas fireplace. A large bathroom with jetted, double-head, steam shower adjoins this area, as does a second laundry. This level boasts a media room with wide screen TV, 2 sleeper (Q&T)sofas, and privacy.
Covered entry allows safe secluded storage of skis or bikes. A private suite with queen Murphy bed, full bath, separate (third) kitchen, and decks overlooking the forest is available upon request at an additional charge.
This beautiful unique home is available year round, Christmas/New Years holiday rental, President's week, Spring Break. Owners are a local family and would be happy to provide private tours, and other helpful services. As former ski instructors and long-time locals, we can provide helpful tips and guidance.
Note: For larger groups who do not mind splitting up, this home is also also available in combination with our one or two bedroom condo at Lion Square Lodge, affording the ‘best of both worlds’…by offering spaciousness, privacy, views, AND the convenience of ski-in/ski-out parking, après-ski, and overflow sleeping!

My family stayed at this home during the Christmas holiday 2011. We could have not picked a better place. We have used VRBO for vacations in Hawaii, Chicago & NY and this property was the best by far. 4 floors provided plenty of space & room for everyone. Decorated to the hilt. The kitchen is gourmet. We invited friends over at night while in town to have dinner and enjoy the home. We all had our own bedrooms for a good night sleep & the beds were very comfortable. Just a short drive to Vail or Beaver Creek. Our hostess was most gracious. She went above and beyond the call of duty. As an example, during our stay the hot tub broke. Our hostess had someone come at night to try to fix and back in the morning until it was working again. Meredith provided many helpful suggestions. I would recommend this propert to anyone. Thank you Meredith for all you did to make our family vacation the most memorable for years to come!

My friends and I spent a wonderful wk in Feb. 2011 at this home. It is larger than what the pictures portray, and has every luxury and convenience to make your stay very comfortable. Meredith is an exceptional host. She made arrangements for all of us to have massages, and even arranged for a chef to make dinner for us. After a long day of skiing, this was a luxury that everyone should take advantage of. She also was a great tour guide with some "local" ski runs at Vail that we would never have found ourselves.We enlisted the services of Ian, a driver provided by Meredith, so that we did not have to worry about driving. We will certainly stay at this house again for our next guys trip to Vail.

Our family of 4 along with another family of 3 and our personal friend and ski expert all shared this beautiful house for 8 nights while our children raced in the Jr Olympics. There was enough room for everyone to have their privacy PLUS a huge kitchen where we could gather and make meals together. We even had room for our friends wife, daughter and new husband (who lived an hour down the road) to join us for 2 nights. One night we did a team dinner! The owner is a sweetheart and by the time we arrived I had spoken and emailed her so often we felt like dear old friends! I would recommend this place and rent it again in a heartbeat...too bad the JO's are in Aspen this year.

I took a lacrosse team out for some midsummer fun in Vail. The house was in a great location, only three exits away from town. We had 15 guys in this house, plenty of space. The house has everything you need...pool table, hot tub, foosball, flat screens, etc. Walking distance to a golf course. Spectacular view, very serene location. Trail head to Beaver Creek hike 100 yards from the house. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. 3 Minutes to Minturn and Avon, 8 minute drive to Vail. Perfect location.

We stayed at this magnificent house in January, 2010, and plan on coming back for years to come! There was so much space for everyone to spread out and had plenty of room for guests. The kitchen was incredible with all the necessary cookware for a big meal for 20 people. Modern appliances everywhere. Incredible view from all 3 balconies! Big hot tub on the bottom level, with all kinds of cool games to play. Bathrooms everywhere that were all updated with the most modern. The owner was very accomodating for all our special needs, and was sure that we all enjoyed ourselves. Great place for anyone planning a big reunion or multiple family gathering, and it's just a quick 10 minute drive to Vail! Go for it!
