Awsome and comfortable place. We spent more on the house than we usually spend, but it was well worth it! My husband and I spent a lot of time on the porches watching the chipmunks and birds. We fed them everyday!I caught my first fish and I thank you for that! We loved walking around on the property and watching the fireflies at night, What a great vacation we had, and we WILL be back! thanks for sharing your wonderful home in the awsome mts.May GOD bless you both always.<3 Would definatly recomend this to everyone!!!!!
Owner response:Thank you for your review. Glad to know that you enjoyed the fish, chipmunks and birds. We do our part to make the cottage very comfortable, and the grounds groomed for your enjoyment, but only God could put the finishing touches with the mountain air, sound of the flowing creek, and the many beautiful birds and chipmunks. We look forward to your return.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at the cottage. We spent the holidays here and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The cottage is very cozy and inviting and was the perfect place to relax and enjoy some time off. The surrounding area also provided many activities for when we wanted to be more active. We loved visiting the national forest and the Land of Waterfalls!

The listing described the property perfectly and the photo shows the side (main) entrance just as it is. The property was spotless and everything in it was well maintained. The owner and I spoke several times on the phone and she was instrumental in my decision to stay at her cottage. It is located in a great spot for my husband and I to ride our motorcycle. Our friends visited while we were there and since it was their first time to NC for vacation the cabin was in a great spot to travel from to Dillsboro, Gatlinburg, and Ashville. We spent an entire day roaming around in Brevard (20 minutes from the cabin). There are wonderful stores there and a GREAT antique mall full of treasure. We caught trout which I grilled, built a fire in the fire pit and explored the hill above the cottage. We also grilled steaks one night on the gas grill. Everything we needed was available. We will definitely stay there again.
Owner response: I am glad that you found the cottage in a great location to ride your bikes and explore the NC beauty. We look forward to hearing from you again!

We were very impressed with how well appointed Creekside Cabin was in terms of blankets, cookware, dishes, comfortable furniture and general hominess throughout. The property has many special treats including the creek beside the property, the pond rife with trout and the numerous wild flowers. The cabin was accurately represented by the description and was very welcoming. The bathrooms had been beautifully and efficiently upgraded. All of our inquiries and contact with the owners and caretakers were met with friendly and helpful responses. I highly reccommend it for itself as well as the proximity to wonderous outdoor delights.
Owner response:Rick: Thank you for choosing to vacation at Creekside Cottage. We are so pleased that you found every thing that you needed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Thanks for feeding the fish!! We hope to see you again next year.

Just returned home after spending one of the most relaxing weeks ever in this cottage. The property is so nice and quiet with several nooks made for reading and great big windows for watching the birds and chipmunks in the birdfeeders. The location was private, but not isolated, and centrally located for various day-trips - to Asheville, Brevard, the Blue-Ridge Parkway, waterfalls, country stores, orchards, lakes - all the things and places we flatlanders love to visit! I could go on and on - next I'll want to bore you with my vacation photos! It was just a perfect week that I'll remember for many years to come.
Owner response:Frances: It was great to have you return to Creekside Cottage for your vacation. We love it when we have repeat renters because that lets us know your are pleased. We too are flat landers, and we appreciate the beauty of the mountains and streams. Our favorite adventure is finding new waterfalls and hikes to see majestic views. Hope to see you again next year!

This was our second visit to Creekside Cottage, and we again had such an amazing time! The house is located in an area with so much to do nearby. This time, we had 4 adults, 2 babies, and our 2 dogs-the house and property is big enough so that we were all comfortable, and had plenty of room to spare! A fully stocked kitchen helped us cook fabulous meals which we enjoyed eating at the dining table while watching the birds, hummingbirds, and even bunny rabbits outside the dining room window. The house is furnished very comfortably, has wifi, and the jucuzzi tub is just another one of the many perks this house offers.......our little grand-daughter and our doggies just loved running through the big field, feeding the fish in the pond, and exploring the stream on the property-it is such a great property! We didn't even have time to enjoy the swing or the fire pit and picnic table outside! Next year when we return, we'll plan more time here. Have rented other homes on VRBO, but this one so far is our favorite!
Owner response:We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. We love it when our families come back again. We too enjoy watching the birds, ground squirrels, etc. while we are eating our breakfast. The cottage is great for relaxing by the creek or exploring nearby waterfalls. See you next year!

The cottage is located on a beautiful lot, with a bubbly creek, a big level field for games, and a pond filled with big trout. Our grandchildren loved to feed the fish! Highway 178 is fairly busy, but calms down at night. The only negative was that the cottage was dusty and dirty. There are plenty of linens, blankets, kitchen items, and DVD's. It is a very comfortable home, which stays cooler than Brevard. Give it a try!
Owner response:We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Creekside Cottage. Thanks for feeding the fish! We are in our 7th year of renting the cottage and this is the first time anyone has every made any kind of negative comment about dust under the beds. We work very hard to be sure that the cottage is very clean and that our guest have every thing that they need. Thank you for your comment and thank you for choosing to vacation at Creekside Cottage.

We had a very enjoyable week at Creekside Cottage. The flowers around the property are absolutely wonderful and we also enjoyed watching all the different birds at the various feeders. The location is perfect for getting to all the waterfalls that we wanted to hike and still is convenient to the town of Brevard and those great little white squirrels. Oh, and I must admit - we were daily visitors to Ingle's too! Enjoyed the new kitchen and all the special "bear" touches around the cottage. Thanks for having a great cottage and allowing our furry friends as they had a terrific time too.
Owner response:We are so pleased that you enjoyed your vacation at Creekside Cottage. We also enjoy watching the many different birds. I love the pictures that you took of the creek on the property and the pictures of the nearby waterfalls. See you next year!

Creekside Cottage is now our favorite place to stay in North Carolina. Our family has had a wonderful time, including our beagle Daisy. The kids had a blast playing in the creek and fishing at the pond. They also love running around in the field with Daisy. Springtime is a great time to visit with all the Dogwood Trees and flowers blooming. It was perfect weather for the hikes at Pisgah and canoeing down the French Broad River. My husband even went fly fishing for the first time and had a great time. We look forward to our next visit, many thanks!!!
Owner response:Thank you for your comments. I am sure the children and family pet enjoyed playing in the creek and the local canoeing trip. I know the blooms and flowers must have been really pretty in the spring. Thanks for feeding the fish! We will look forward to hearing from you next year.

We were looking for a place to spend spring break with our 4 kids, but didn't want to stay in a hotel. I searched and searched for the perfect place and I found it in Creekside Cottage! It is very cozy and comfortable even for our large family. Our children range from age 3 - 9 and all of them had a great time! They loved feeding the fish and playing the games provided there. They played frisbee in the big front yard and we had a campfire and made s'mores. We even caught a few trout to grill. It was our best family trip ever and we will definitely be back!
Owner response:Thank ;you for the review. We are so pleased that your family vacation was all that you wanted. I am also glad that you enjoyed the water fall tour information that we provided, and I am glad the fishing was good!! I hope to hear from you again next year.

Our kids were home for spring break. We wanted a chance to get away with them so that we could celebrate our family and give them a chance to wind down after midterms. Creekside Cottage is exactly what the pictures show -- Sandra has thought of everything...It was clean and well maintained. t The beds were comfortable, lots of quilts to keep you warm! The kitchen was so well organized and supplied, I couldn't have asked for more. We spent all of Saturday outside fishing and swinging and eating and hiking. At night we laid a fire and played charades -- wish I had thought to bring stuff for s'mores! I will recommend Creekside Cottage to friends and family. Next time we go we will stay longer... Thank you --

Wonderful is the only way to describe this property. The cabin is an authentic mountain home and has all the creature comforts, like an updated, fully stocked kitchen, wireless internet, king bed in master that sleeps like a dream, jetted tub, washer/dryer. The grounds was my favorite. Picnic area w/ firepit and charcoal grill on the banks of the beautiful mountain stream is where I hung out. We also spent some relaxing time at the pond. We went into Brevard one day but other than that we spent all our time at the cabin. Levi (boykin spaniel) loved chasing his frisbee in the meadow. I would highly suggest this paradise to anyone that wants to experience a true mountain getaway. Sandra was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thanks Sandra!
Owner response:We are so pleased when our guests have a positive vacation experience. It is our goal to make our guest feel like it is their special home away from home. We make a real effort to ensure that all their needs are met and that they are very comfortable. We want our guests to walk in and find a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain retreat.

Very nice cabin - nicer than described. Larger than expected. Plenty of room for our family of four. Everything needed - and then some - was provided (sleds for the children, and a long driveway on a hill were a huge bonus!). Many nice and new appliances, including wireless internet, to make you feel at home. Everything worked well and was well-maintained. Great to have a 5+ acre area to call your own for a while, complete with woods, a field, a pond, and a stream. A most inviting place to spend a long weekend or a week. We spent our days hiking in the Pisgah National Forest, and our evenings relaxing at the cabin. We look forward to our return!

We had a great time at the cabin the week of Thanksgiving. The cottage was very nice, had everything we needed, and was very cozy. We had fun feeding the trout, and my son enjoyed catching a couple. Lots of room to roam outside, firepit by the creek with furnished wood. There is a C-store in Rosmon with about everything you would need (including daily Asheville newspaper) five minutes away. Thanks for the opportunity.

This vacation - this property - was just what we needed! I read the comments before I booked, so I thought I knew what we were getting, but I was wrong. It was so much more! We wanted for nothing. A 4-star hotel could not have anticipated the needs of guests any better. It was so homey, comfortable, and relaxing, we could hardly get my father in the car to go see the sights. Thank you for the care you put into this home. It really shows!

We stayed here for 5 nights, and immediately felt comfortable, and 'at home'. We enjoyed walking the property in the evenings and exploring the creek, and always hearing the sound of running water! The crickets and birds provide a beautiful symphony at night to help you sleep, as well as the very comfortable bed. Apple trees and the grapevines provided me with a delicious breakfast, as well as the fun of picking the fruit! We enjoyed watching the butterflies and hummingbirds on the beautiful flowers that are all around. The property is very peaceful, with plenty of places to relax: a swing by the river, a swing on the hill, chairs on the porch, chairs in the yard......I enjoyed fishing in the trout pond and feeding the fish-we did not BBQ, but I would have liked to, and also to have built a fire in the fire pit-oh well-next time! We look forward to returning-we have been vacationing in the area for over 20 years, and have stayed at another vrbo home in the area years ago, but this house is the one! The location is TERRIFIC-so close to the waterfalls we love to go hiking to, but also close to several towns. The house is fully stocked-we were grateful to have the washer and dryer, ironing board, and enjoyed cooking our own dinners. The big tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. Sandra was a pleasure to deal with, too! We paid $125. for a hotel room recently-this home is a GREAT value, great location, terrific house!

We just returned today and I can sum our trip up in one word: Wonderful! We spent five days fishing in the pond, exploring nearby Pisgah National Forest and downtown Brevard. My 11-year old son and our two dogs loved the pond and the large yard. I spent alot of time reading on the front porch or the reading nook. My husband and father-in-law spent alot of time at the pond or in the creek. We walked around the shops in downtown Brevard, which I highly recommend. The kitchen was very well stocked (we cooked every night), and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I caught and ate my first trout dinner which was great. We can't wait to go back and are already planning a trip for next father's day - maybe we will make this a yearly tradition. Definitely worth the 7 hour drive!!

What a great place to spend Easter weekend. The weather was gorgeous with signs of spring blooming all around us. Creekside Cottage was just perfect for me, my husband and our grandson. All my dog wanted to do was lie outside and soak up the sunshine! The cottage was so comfortable, especially the beds and with a fully equipped kitchen. We all enjoyed your trout pond and kept several that we cooked on the grill Sunday night. They were delicious. The cottage is located in a wonderful rural area, but close enough to Brevard to make trips shopping at the stores or visiting the national forest. We hope to return!

What an amazing place to relax, regenerate and enjoy. We found the cottage to be beyond our expectations in all areas - cleanliness, ease of use, privacy, well set up kitchen and so much more. After days of traveling and visiting family and friends, this was a quiet haven for us. Visiting the pond each day to feed the fish was delightful. The last day of our stay we were honored by the resident goose as she proudly displayed her baby goslings. Sandra and her daughter were pleasant and most helpful when we called about an issue with the cable TV. They resolved it in a manner of minutes. The refund for the deposit check came in the mail within days of our stay. Truly a delightful experience in every way. We will return whenever we get the opportunity. mary and dan from NY

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering at the Cottage. It worked out perfectly. It was such a relaxing, peaceful getaway. Living in a very crowded county in FL it was just what we needed to renew and refresh. Of course we would have loved to stay longer. The property has it all, trout pond (to "play" with the fish), the sound of the creek, the lively and amusing birds and little ground squirrel. Besides our Thankgiving celebration I also enjoyed celebrating my birthday so it was a week full of special memories. We would love to stay at the Cottage again. It was definitely just like our home away from home.

Thank you for providing brochures and directions to the waterfalls and parkway - that was so helpful. October was a fantastic time to be there. We enjoyed the pond - caught and released a few and did eat one. Those were some of the biggest trout we've ever seen. Thanks, too, for providing everything visitors would need - brochures, kitchen supplies, blankets, games, dvd player, etc. We had a wonderful time and hope to return. Thanks again!

We came to Creekside Cottage to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! We were pleasantly surprised to find an anniversary card and a box of chocolates as we entered! Thank you, Sandra! It was a pleasure to let our Scottish Terriers off leash to romp and enjoy the property! Chase did get a bee in his beard but we got it out before it stung him! Fishing was great...we caught some and lost some (but we released the ones we caught) and one broke my line! There are some big ones in there! Feeding them was fantastic...more like a frenzy! I couldn't believe we could sit in the rocking chairs on the porch and the hummingbirds would come up and feed with us so close! They were so neat it inspired us to come home and put out 2 feeders even though it's late in the season. Now we have a few but not like the flock at Creekside Cottage! Our Scotties played with the basketball...pushing and nudging it like a soccer ball. Creekside Cottage has something to interest everyone from children to adults to dogs, etc. I had wading boots so I had to go down and wander around in the creek! We loved every minute and hope to return. Thanks for sharing your cottage! Barbara & Bob Richmond Simpsonville, SC (formerly of Tampa Fl)

Our stay at Creekside Cottage was a BLESSING! It was so peaceful and relaxing. My son enjoyed the fishing and the feeding of the fish:). My wife and I enjoyed the birds feeding and especially the humming birds. Thank you for your ministry to our family. The Lord bless you. The Champ family

Had a great time at this cottage for a family week of getting back to nature without computers and cellphones. The cottage and property are beautiful and well stocked with most everything one would need. Like others before us we loved feeding the trout and catching and releasing them as well. Lots of birds to watch in the morning on the bird feeders. Great proximity to many waterfalls and hiking trails we visited. I would stay here all summer if I could afford it. Went kayaking down the French Broad river as well and had a relaxing time. Thanks for sharing yor vacation home and your family was very nice.

Sandra What a wonderful private setting for this thoughtfully furnished and well equipped cottage. The grandkids enjoyed the games and family videos along with playing in the creek and feeding the trout at the pond. So many things to do and see in the area. Was a joy to visit the WILDS camp!! GOD is good!! Look forward to staying again…….Louie/Donna Peeples

Sandra, We are back home at last. We started our USA vacation at Creekside Cottage. It was the beginning and certainly one of the HIGHLITES of our trip. This was the first time I've ever tried doing anything like this by Internet. The whole experience was great. The cottage more than lived up to our expectations. The countryside nearby is beautiful and you family was very attentive. I hope we can do it again for a longer period next time. Regards Jim & Ileana Gibbs Antigua, Guatemala

Fantastic! We enjoyed our week in the Creekside Cottage. It was difficult to leave and to return to reality. The cottage is very comfortable and there are so many fun activities in the surrounding area. Also, I fly fished in the pond with success. Thanks again!

Hi Sandra, We really enjoyed your cottage. Our boys loved having a fire in the fire pit and feeding the fish in the pond. We saw the waterfall just down the road too- so beautiful and close! The Brevard area is so beautiful and we are so glad to have visited your place and look forward to making it a yearly stay. Your attention to detail made us feel right at home. Comfy beds and laid back surroundings made us forget all about our hectic lives back home. How nice. Next time we'd like to stay longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Creekside Cottage. It was so much better than we ever expected. Our daughter loved feeding the fish every day and the fire pit was a huge hit with the entire family. The cottage was in the countryside, but convenient to everything. If you like hiking to find waterfalls, this is the perfect vacation spot for you. We can't wait for our next visit.

We had a wonderful time at this cute little quaint cottage. The kids loved running around the huge property. We caught 3 trout in the pond and cooked them for dinner. We took a waterfall tour with Miller tours and they were very close to the cabin location. There are so many places to go nearby...a great little location.

We enjoyed our stay at Creekside cottage so much! It was so cozy and inviting the minute we walked through the door. It was fun to feed the trout in the pond and to take walks along the creek on the property. Added bonuses were the waterfalls that were located just minutes from the cottage. Everything we needed was provided and one could tell that the owners took care to ensure that their guests were treated nicely. Thanks for a great vacation!
