Enjoy this large one-bedroom condo at the famous Ocotillo Lodge (a Gene Autry development), only minutes from restaurants, casinos, golf courses, and downtown Palm Springs. Ocotillo has a wonderful Olympic size fan-shaped pool, two Jacuzzis, a small fitness area, pool table, and an outdoor BBQ area. It has one of the best views of the mountains and being on the south-side of Palm Springs, it has very little wind.

Year Purchased: 2003
Mike and Leslie live in San Diego, CA. Mike used to vacation at the Ocotillo Lodge as a child in the 60's and insisted we buy one of the condos. We are real estate investors with a multi-unit complex in San Diego. This is our only vacation rental and it is our home away from home! Ocotillo Lodge is a very popular resort, so we usually only get to go Summer and Fall, but love every minute of our visits.
We have two adult children and two pound-hounds(to replace the adult children).
Our favorite activity is usually wine tasting throughout California. We also like to travel by car, plane and cruises. We enjoy camping in our Tent Trailer (which we also started renting out and this too has become a popular rental - go figure!) If you want to visit the beautiful City of San Diego and our State Beaches, ask about renting our tent trailer and I can send you more details.
We are open to trading vacation rentals $ for $ value. Let us know what you have to trade - including motorhomes!

Hello Leslie, we have just arrived home from Palm Springs. We have to say that we really enjoyed your condo and it was so well equipped. I was without my luggage for three days and managed to get by with all of the little extras. Some fellow Manitobans who were staying in the unit beside us were surprised to hear about the computer, bedroom tv and DVD movies. We passed along your phone number to them. They apparently visit Palm Springs every year.

It was great to have access to a computer and free long distance. Love the hummingbird feeder.The ranger program to Keys Ranch at Joshua tree was a cool highlight (saw big horn sheep within 100 ft).

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place in Paradise. We really enjoyed the hummingbirds, watching them in the morning in our huge comfy bed was the best! A++ The computer was a life saver, we Googled maps and directions which saved a lot of troubles. In spite of the major road work out front (driveway repaving), the pool and grounds made up for that! As we are packing up, we feel sad that we are leaving and hope to return next year! Tomorrow we are hiking up the Indian Canyons to explore the waterfalls. We highly recommend any of the native canyons, the scenery is fabulous with lots of history. All the best for 2007! Jane and Jeff
