We were hoping to keep the house to ourselves this summer, unfortunately bot of our sons have taken full time jobs, SOOO.... We are listing it for rental at this late date and there's lots of availability! A wonderful slice of Cape Cod history in this 1734 Nickerson Family Home. Enjoy the peaceful back yard with its private access to Depot Pond, a wonderful spring-fed 25 acre pond. Take a paddle in the three person canoe provided, or simply cool off in the freshwater pond after a day at a saltwater beach. Both Coast Guard Beach on the ocean side (good surfing and boogie boarding) and First Encounter on the Bay side (gentle waves, terrific tide pools at low tide) are an easy bike ride away. Hop on the Cape Cod Rail Trail around the corner and explore the Cape on wheels. Walk to the Windmill for Monday evening band concerts or morning coffee. Fishing on the pond has been known to produce a large bass!
This lovely home has an eat-in country kitchen, wormwood library and blue and white living room just right for relaxing. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need. Enjoy meals on the brick patio with dining table surrounded by flowers and birds. A darling house in a perfect setting!
Wonderful outdoor shower with attached dressing area. No need to shower indoors as the outdoor is a perfect Cape Cod experience. Nothing like a midnight shower under the stars!

We love the history associated with this house, originally a Nickerson home. While doing some renovations on the house we discovered the main timber is a piece of stamped "kings lumber" used from a ship that came from England
The Unique Benefits at this House
The location of our property is perfect for a summer vacation. We are located in the middle of a very narrow section of the Cape. Both the ocean and bay are only 1.5 miles from the house and an easy bike ride. Our house is on Depot Pond, a fresh water pond with crystal clear water. It's perfect after a day at the saltwater beaches, a moonlight swim or to catch that beautiful bass. We often hop on bikes and ride to Arnolds for a bite or into Orleans for lunch or a Chocolate Sparrow. Walk to the Windmill for Monday night band concerts, check out the Wellfleet flea market, so much to do, I could go on and on....
