Poas Volcano, majestic waterfalls, a Butterfly Farm, coffee plantations and the Zoological Park and Gardens of Alajuela are within a 20-45 minute drive, as is one of the newest theme parks – Turu Ba Ri – with Sky Ride, canopy walk, horseback riding, walking trails and bird watching. To the north is the Arenal Volcano and Monteverde Cloud Forest. The full service town of Atenas (supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, banks, etc.) is only ten minutes away.
