Fully stocked kitchen and veranda dining await you. While you are here, you can explore the amazing sea life in the private snorkel cove and we are located on the Au'Au Channel where the Humpback Whales have their babies and feed throughout the winter...incredible sightings right off the patio. Play tennis in our regulation tennis court, or relax beachside or poolside.

Why the Owner Chose Kahana
I chose The Kuleana after looking at several properties. It has all the amenities of a large luxurious high rise resort, but with a small town intimate feel. The grounds are impeccable and unit 607 was made to order. It is beautiful and if you wanted, you could arrive at Kuleana 607, unpack your bags and never leave the resort.
Everything is just outside your patio door: Sandy beach, inviting manicured grounds, private swimming and snorkeling cove, and an activity center to plan your outings if you can bring yourself to leave the condo.
As I look back on my search for a vacation rental, I ask myself how I ever even considered any place else.

Hello, fellow Maui lovers. I am new to the vacation rental business and so far I love it. I sold an apartment building here at home and this is a wonderful new challenge.
We've been coming to Maui for 20 so when it came time to "Trade Up", Maui was a natural choice, we love it here.

I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a place to stay in Maui , reasonably priced and right on the oceanfront, spotted whales in the distance several times as we enjoyed coffee or dinner on our lanai. Many good beaches for swimming and snorkeling can be found a short distance away -- we found the rocky shore in front of our place a little intimidating for novices though. Great location with many good restaurants and shopping close by. The condo complex is beautifully landscaped and the pool very clean. A great place for anyone wanting a quieter place to stay but yet close enough to many of the large hotels, shopping areas, golf, etc. The owners were helpful in answering our questions and the condo was well kept. We barbequed a few times using the communal barbeques that were a few steps away from our front door. They were clean and a great way to meet other vacationers. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this condo again on a return visit.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

Had a great overall experience. Very nice and quiet community. After landing, we were already excited to be in warm weather , but after arriving at the condo and seeing the view; that made it. You literallly walk outside the back door, step onto the grass and the ocean is about 30 feet away. Amazing was our word for the week. We enjoyed watching and snorkeling with the sea turtles who were right outside the condo and down by the rocks. They were swimming in that spot all week. Maui had many places to see and things to do. We put a lot of miles on our rental seeing the whole island. But it was sure nice to come back each afternoon to the condo, make dinner and relax. The community BBQ was a nice place to meet and greet as well. No major negatives. The unit has no central air but the ocean breeze runs right through the condo if you leave the front and patio doors open. We used the portable a-c unit the first night only. I think we needed a day or so to become acclamated. However the bedroom has a long inoperable window that allows you to hear everything going on outside the front of the condo.The kitchen & living room are in the same space so if you have more than 2 people, I could see how it would be tight if you use the sleeper sofa. Again, access to the ocean really makes this a great rental. The owner was very informative and helpful. We appreciated the oppurtunity and we will recommend this to other couples.

Description and pictures accurately reflect unit. Quiet, private, just like a home away from home. Loved the ground floor walk-out and are glad we went with that. Great views, beach was a 30 second walk. Loved grilling fresh fish at sunset. Everything provided in unit to cook and to play. Comfy bed. There were 2 of us, 4 would be tight. Good location to quickly drive places. First time we haven't stayed at a hotel and now will always do vrbo. When we choose Maui in future, we'll be renting this unit!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Almost everything about this place was perfect, Sound of the waves crashing, nightly amazing sunsets, family of turtles in the snorkling cove not far from the outside of the unit and for the most part an empty private beach ( no more than 7 or 8 other people on the beach at it's peak on the weekend) It's a small unit, but was cozy, saved a bunch of money on food since we cooked and ate at unit ( or at least tried to - Couldn't shake the calling of Chicken Katsu from Aloha Mixed plate ) I only have two minor gripes ( But this will not stop us from renting this unit again- Already planning next years vacation back to Maui ) 1. The front doors bottom lock looked as if it has been broken into , when you are in the unit, you can use the bottom lock, a dead bolt and a chain lock. Had there been a key for the dead bolt when we left the property, I would've felt much more secure to leave our belongings when we were out. None the less, we had no issues while we were gone and the security office was pretty close to the unit. 2. The first two days of our stay , the humidity was INSANE, the unit has a portable AC in the bedroom, which worked great and allowed us to sleep comfortably, but when I hung out in the living room, I felt like I needed a shower every ten minutes, I'm from California, so I'm not used to that, so maybe that one was just me. Overall, Great experience, Reeny was very good at communicating, and the whole experience was AAA+++ all the way around.. Oh yeah, Go on a hike Maui tour, that was one of the highlights of our trip - Do the full day if you can!
