We stayed with our two teenage daughters for a long weekend during a very cold spell! We were on a campus visit for our oldest daughter and it was very convenient to be able to come and go with the parking spot and adjacent garage. The condo was very clean, modern, and well equipped. in addition to the college activities we were able to work, watch the Packers beat the Bears (sorry Bears' fans!), go to a few shows, eat some great dinners, and shop! We were able to walk to most places and Trader Joe's was only around the corner. The fitness facility is well equipped and we both had a chance to use it...it was a little cold early in the morning but it made me run faster...since this was our daughter's college choice - we will be back! It was a pleasant and roomy reprieve from a hotel...

I stayed here for a mini vacation with my three daughters. The place is beautiful with its incredible views and nicely decorated interior. We had all the comforts of home, plus some. The beds were so comfortable that we all commented on how they were like sleeping on a cloud. Doormen were incredibly helpful. Most importantly is the location. You are literally a couple blocks from anything - great restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and the Magnificent Mile (just 2 blocks away). We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Mark & Ashley!

The condo was just the right size to accomodate me, my husband and 3 year old son. We chose to rent a condo because we wanted some room for all of us to be able to move around. We even had an overnight guest (babysitter) stay one evening and we didn't feel cramped at all. Also, having a kitchen was great, but with all the incredible restaurants within walking distance we can chalk that up to "best laid plans". Thank you, Mark and Ashley, for your attention to detail and personal touch. You made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We'll be back!

I found the property to be perfectly located for all that we had on our wish list to do and see. Close to subway/L train and plenty of wonderful and well known resturants. The facility had everything you would possibly need for a pleasurable stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights while moving my son into college. The space is perfect for 3 and would work fine for 4, if 2 can share the queen bed in the second bedroom. The apartment is well-appointed - everything we needed was there when we moved in. The location is great. We walked to dinner on Rush Street one night and on the lakefront the second, with a side excursion to Navy Pier. Parking is easy. The fitness room is good sized. We didn't use the pool area, but it looked nice - with an area to barbecue. We will definitely be returning.

The listing description is accurate. The photos accurately reflect the rentals appearance. The property was clean and adequately maintained. The owners are resident elsewhere in the U.S and therefore a lady can be contacted locally for problems. The hand over of occupation is self propelled and some of the little things could do with a more personal handover. I would recommend the property to a friend. The location is perfect for everything really.

WOW! Mark and Ashley, the condo more than met our expectations. It's gorgeous inside, the pictures do not do it justice. The views were fantastic. The beds are so comfortable. There were 4 of us and the size was perfect even with one bathroom. The pool area facilities were wonderful and all the doormen were so very kind and welcoming. We could walk to Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River area easily. Great restaurants and shopping near by. Train was a two minute walk away. The architectural boat tour with Chicago's First Lady is an absolute must. The Art Institute was fantastic as we saw the Matisse collection. Stepping out on the Willis Tower skydeck was so cool; like you were floating on top of the city. The Gage on Michigan and The Mexique on W. Chicago both had fantastic food. And of course for a bit of fun The Wiener Circle up on N. Clark was the place for a hot dog and shake!! Chicago is a wonderful city, so clean and literally no noise pollution. We are already planning our next visit back here. This condo on East Huron is the absolute perfect place to stay in Chicago. Thank you for making our stay AWESOME!

The accomodations where as protrayed in the marketing literature. We had no complaints at all, and throughly enjoyed our trip and staying in the condo. We had never stayed in a Condo instead of a hotel, but it is something we will consider every time we go on vacation due to the positive experience with this rental.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on a family visit to this beautiful and exciting city.

Dear Mark and Ashley, Again, Thank you for the wonderful accommodations! We had such a great time at the apartment! There were four of us this time .. 3 adults and one child and we felt there was plenty of room for us all. The location could not have been better... so close to everything: the El, Whole Foods, shopping and everything else. We love to walk so everything seemed so accessible... and when we did take a taxi, it's best just to say, "The corner of Huron and Wabash please", and then just a 10 second walk to the front door! And then just a short ride up to amazing views! Note to enquirers: This is the second time we've rented from the Hellickson's in Chicago... this property as well as their property on Cedar is exceptional. I had traveled to Chicago for years, staying at numerous hotels.... never again! The Hellickson's properties are the best thing I've ever come across... as they themselves are... Such accommodating people... easy to get in touch with and always quick to answer... Thank you Mark and Ashley... can't wait for our next Chicago adventure! Karen Casey (and Shannon, Michael and Ashton).

The window washers were hanging outside as we arrived, and what a view we had of that area of Chicago when they finished! 30 E. Huron was nicely furnished and large enough to accommodate all four of us retired school teachers. It is conveniently located to shopping and public transportation. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful, enhancing our Chicago stay.

Opening the door and first glance was amazing - breathtaking! The loft/condo was as described but better than the photos could show. The city lights and standing at the edge of the window got my blood pumping. Easy access to shopping, great food and the door people were so helpful and fun. Just a terrific experience - will go back if I can and will stay right there.

We were delighted with our choice of condo.... this is very well situated, and delightfully spacious and quite excellent. It is hard to fault! We used "Whole Foods" just a block and a bit away, for all our food and drink needs, and we in the UK have little to match it. A strong recommendation......

I love Chicago and was delighted to have found these accommodations for my recent week-long stay. The location was incredible -- convenient to virtually everything. I could not have been more pleased with the condo and all of its amenities. I was travelling solo, so I had almost more space than needed. Nonethless, it was a delight to have all the comforts of home. On two occasions I had friends over for snacks and cocktails before going out for dinner. HOw nice it was to have the kitchen and the facilities needed to do that. The views were excellent and I spent many moments gazing across the city from 39 stories in the air. I loved the hospitality of all the doormen. They were so, so attentive and helpful and friendly. I had great conversations with residents when riding the elevators and received much good and helpful local information. Though two grocers were recommended, not any further away was a Jewel-Osco store on State Street. Not nearly as pricey as the other two and a greater selection. Just an observation. Simply put -- things could not have been better. I felt at home and this was definitely better than a hotel. I would recommend this property without reservation.
Owner response:Thanks for sharing the Jewel-Osco tip, Raymond. We hope to see you back soon!

This was an AWESOME condo apartment. It was just as it was advertised (even better)! It was comfortable, clean, with perfectly gorgeous views. The location was also great. Mark and Ashley were very easy to work with. The desk helpers on the first floor were always polite and helpful. Cabs were easily and quickly obtainable. I would highly recommend this apartment for two or three people. I WILL hopefully be staying at 30 E.Huron the next time I am in Chicago! PLUSH!! What fun we three ladies had in beautiful Chicago! We recently stayed here on vacation with our two children. We loved it! The kids thought all the windows were so cool. They had to go to bed with the blinds open so they could fall asleep looking at the lights. The unit was beautifully decorated and was so nice to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. There were very thoughtful touches there like guide books and take-out menus that made it extra special. Mark always answered any questions we had very quickly. Great experience!!

We stayed at the condo in May while visiting my college student niece. We loved it! The location is fantastic - we were able to walk almost anywhere we wanted to go, and if not, the subway was right there. The weather was truly awful one day, and it was such a pleasure to have the option to hang out in the condo all morning reading the paper, making coffee and watching the storm outside. Much better than a hotel room where your only option is to sit on the bed. The staff was great, the building very well cared for, and the amenities just as described.

This was our second stay in this lovely condo. The condo has spectacular views, a great central location, and lovely furnishings (that now includes a full size, super-comfy bed in the den rather than a single futon). I have stayed at several vrbos and this one rates at the top (as does Mark and Ashley's villa in Hawaii).

Everything about this place was great! Location was amazing, close to everything you would want to do in Chicago. Private, no hassle parking was great. The view is breath-taking my only advice is to remember that as you look around the skyline you will notice that you can see into other buildings. Make sure that you are covered! I caught myself walking around in a towel looking around outside and then all of sudden I become very aware of that fact that if I could see into another building they could also then see me.....kind of funny but could be embarassing as well if you are shy. They do have blinds you can lower so don't worry about that. I would highly recommend this place to any family or friends.
Owner response:Thanks for the anecdotal advice Brian! We look forward to having you back as a guest. Mark and Ashley

My Dec'07 stay was as pleasant as I could have hoped for. Being from the area, I can tell you the location is hard to beat: 2 blks from a RedLine (subway--the trains are a good way to get around town; get a ChicagoCard to make it even easier) station, less than 3 blks from N.Mich.Ave shopping, and within short walking distance of numerous restaurants [Devon & Bistro110 are 2 of my favorites] and bars. Having a reserved parking space is a big plus. The doormen are helpful, and I met several friendly residents. The condo is lovely and well-equipped and -decorated; when friends in the area met up with me there before evenings out, it felt far more comfortable than having people over to a hotel room. I enjoyed the privacy that hotels can't offer, and if you can do without room service & being greeted by name everywhere, this type of lodging is for you. Mark was a pleasure to deal with, and was quite helpful when I needed to extend my stay at the last minute. I will certainly keep this place in mind for my longer trips back home.

We could not have been more pleased with the condo at 30 E. Huron #3907. All of the amenities you could want were there including thick, soft towels, great bedding, wine glasses, etc. My sister stayed in the office with the daybed and that worked out very well. We were just two blocks from Michigan Avenue and walked everywhere. The views from everywhere in the apartment are spectacular and we enjoyed opening the windows on cool mornings. The directions Mark e-mailed ahead of time explained everything we needed to know. The doormen were terrific at answering our questions. We will definitely be back for future trips to Chicago.

We had a wonderful 3 days in Chicago! Staying at 30 E. Huron Room 3907 was just the "icing on the cake!" The room provided lovely views of the city. It was quiet and the doormen were most helpful in giving directions to assist us in finding our way around Chicago. Thank you Mark and Ashley for the fabulous condo at such a reasonable price! If you stay at the condo, make sure to eat at the Grand Lux just off of Michigan Avenue above Anne Taylor's. The food is reasonably priced and fabulous. If the broadway production of WICKED is still in town, try to get tickets to see it. It will be the best money you have spent!!! Thanks again for the wonderful accomodations.

This is a great condo in a great location. My wife invited her mother to join us after I had made the arrangements. I had some concerns about the space, but the day bed in the office has doors (glass) and is situated in such a way that bathroom access and privacy were not an issue. On top of that, the apartment was very nicely appointed with quality furniture and even a very acceptable set of cutlery. Mark was a pleasure to deal with, responsive and professional. One last note, be aware that the entrance is on Wabash, not Huron. We circled the block a few times.

A colleague and I used Mark and Ashley's wonderful condo suite while attending a trade show in Chicago two weeks ago and were quite impressed by the facility, the location and of the course the suite itself. It was very well equipped and spacious. My colleague opted for the day bed in the office and said that he was quite comfortable. I enjoyed the master bedrooms ample closet space and king size bed. The kitchen was perfect for all the amenities and although we were there for three days we did not have time to use the workout facility but it certainly looked quite impressive. The pool was closed for the season. The location was great for getting to and from Michigan Ave. and downtown areas in general and just as close for getting into the Gold Coast area for all the entertainment on Rush St. and beyond. It's no wonder I enjoy Chicago so much. It's a great city and as I travel there about 2 -3 times a year I am begining to think that 30 E. Huron might just become my home away from home. We spent five days in this lovely condo in early November. The location is great -- 2 blocks off the Magnificent Mile, 2 blocks from the el, and 2 blocks from a Whole Foods. The unit is very nicely decorated and the view is spectacular -- so great that we dined in four of the five nights, savoring the skyline. The kitchen is very well equipped, not always the case with rental condos. For those who want to enjoy Chicago's cuisine at night (vs. at lunch, as we did), there are many appealing restaurants within easy walking distance. 30 East Huron - #3907 was a great base for touring Chicago and a very comfortable place to return after a long day. We will be back!
