Within walking distance to the beach, only half a block to 2 private neighborhood beach access. Close to shopping, restaurants, fishing pier, Oregon Inlet Fishing Marina, and Pirates Cove Marina.

Mid Level Features: master bedroom (queen) with master bath and walk-in closet, half bath, living room, dining area with two tables and seating for ten. Sun/sleeping porch with day bed and trundle bed. Very well-equipped kitchen, enclosed year-round porch off of kitchen with picnic table. Laundry area. Two large decks off of living room with views of the ocean, with buit in benches and deck furniture.

Navy brought us to VA & NC in 1971 from Bethalto, IL. We fell in love w/the area & have been here ever since, except for 2 over seas assignments in Egypt & Japan.

We had been staying in this area at a friend's cottage for years, knew it was family area, that was quiet, private, but also close to everything we need.

A terrific week was had by all - owners are terrific folks and very accommodating and helpful with any/all issues, of which there were few. Home is in spotless condition and in terrific location regarding the beach and commercial entities. We are headed back in September and already are counting the days!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time at the "Shell." The house was all it was advertised to be and then some. We had a great time just sitting around the living room one night laughing and telling tall tales. We all had a place to sit and relax comfortably - all 12 of us! We would all go back again given the chance.

We have the best guest, over the years many have become our best friends and are like family. We have stayed at this lovely house for two years. Brenda is so nice and has made us feel so welcome in their beach home. From the upstairs bedroom you have a view of the ocean and this house has plenty of sleeping space. We look forward to coming to this house every year and hate to leave after we get there. I would highly recommend this house to you it is very nice and well kept. Cheryl Carter
