Enjoy the Outer Banks with your family and friends year round in this beautifully decorated and well-appointed getaway that is ideal for the small or extended family. Fully furnished so all you have to do is unpack and relax, in a quiet, family-friendly, private area of South Nags Head at the 18 Mile Post on the ocean side of Old Oregon Inlet Road. Within walking distance to the beach, only half a block to 2 private neighborhood beach access. Close to shopping, restaurants, fishing pier, Oregon Inlet Fishing Marina, and Pirates Cove Marina.
Ground Level Features: covered parking, childs swing, gas grill, large outside shower with hot and cold water, and a dressing area.
Mid Level Features: master bedroom (queen) with master bath and walk-in closet, half bath, living room, dining area with two tables and seating for ten. Sun/sleeping porch with day bed and trundle bed. Very well-equipped kitchen, enclosed year-round porch off of kitchen with picnic table. Laundry area. Two large decks off of living room with views of the ocean, with buit in benches and deck furniture.
Third Level Features: two bedrooms (one queen and one with two sets of bunk beds). One full bath and a deck off of the queen-size bedroom with views of the ocean.

This is the perfect family vacation home. In a nice quiet area plenty of open space on the beach. This home have a very welcoming feel and the owners were awesome. The home is well maintained and has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. We will be returning next year any i`m sure many after that. Thank you so much to the Mushill`s for their hospitality.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This house was great. We had two families and the bedroom and sunroom on one floor and the two bedrooms on the 2nd floor worked out great. Kitchen is well furnished, no need to bring your own pots or pans. Close to beach access - with a 3 yr old, 18 mnth old & 9 week old, we had no trouble getting to the access. Close to all the tourist stuff, but far enough away that it was quiet-very convenient location (we loved Jockey's Ridge, flew kites there two days in a row, Wright Brothers Monument is a must, and the aquarium in Manteo is pretty neat too). Amenities such as TV and DVD players were great. House was very clean, and the owners are wonderful to work with! We will definately repeat this house the next time we head to the OBX!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

A terrific week was had by all - owners are terrific folks and very accommodating and helpful with any/all issues, of which there were few. Home is in spotless condition and in terrific location regarding the beach and commercial entities. We are headed back in September and already are counting the days!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time at the "Shell." The house was all it was advertised to be and then some. We had a great time just sitting around the living room one night laughing and telling tall tales. We all had a place to sit and relax comfortably - all 12 of us! We would all go back again given the chance.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers.

We have the best guest, over the years many have become our best friends and are like family. We have stayed at this lovely house for two years. Brenda is so nice and has made us feel so welcome in their beach home. From the upstairs bedroom you have a view of the ocean and this house has plenty of sleeping space. We look forward to coming to this house every year and hate to leave after we get there. About the owner: Navy brought us to VA & NC in 1971 from Bethalto, IL. We fell in love w/the area & have been here ever since, except for 2 over seas assignments in Egypt & Japan.

We had been staying in this area at a friend's cottage for years, knew it was family area, that was quiet, private, but also close to everything we need.
