Recently renovated, Las Terrazas is a wonderful hideaway compound nestled high on the Los Chivos ridge in Vieques. Las Terrazas features two independent units, each with two bedrooms and one bath, and a private casita, making it one of the most versatile houses to rent on Vieques. Perfect for a large family, a group of friends, two families traveling together, or a couple looking for a romantic getaway, both the upstairs and downstairs units have their own fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms and dining terraces. The casita (with its own kitchen, bathroom and sitting area) offers flexibility for additional friends or family members. Whether you are a large, small or midsized group, Las Terrazas can accomodate you, and you will be guaranteed to have the property to yourself.
Las Terrazas' terraces (which give the house its name) are a favorite gathering spot for enjoying the amazing view and sunrise and sunsets. Dining al fresco on one of the terraces or under the pool-side gazebo will be a highlight of your stay.
Although you will be tempted to never leave this private paradise, do force yourself to venture out as Las Terrazas is a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Most beaches are all-but-deserted, and no beach in Vieques is ever crowded. Also, not to be missed, is a visit to the other-worldly Bio-Bay and excursions into Isabel Segundo and Esperanza. Everything is within a very short drive from the house, unless the island's ubiquitous wild horses slow your progress along the way!

Nine of us stayed during end of October 2011 and loved every bit of it. From the main house to the casita and surrounding garden/pool area. Definitely worth every minute. The host was very helpful and accommodating. If you want a place from away from everything yet relaxed, this is the place. The interiors are beautifully designed and maintained and garden is meticulously kept. We are already planning our next trip there!

We very much enjoyed our stay as Las Terrazas in November. The pool was beautiful and well maintained. The house was perfect for our group of 7 adults; we never felt like we were on top of one another. The house and casita accommodated the group easily. Las Terrazas is a beautiful, clean, and well-appointed home. The kitchen is new and has every amenity that you could need. We cooked most of our meals in the house and ate on the outside terraces. The house has WIFI, washer/dryer, and gated parking. The house is very private and secure. The housekeeper, Karen, is terrific and available for any issues and island recommendations. I highly recommend the house.

We have returned (sadly) from Vieques and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Las Terrazas. It was perfect for our family! I loved discovering all the little private niches on the gorgeous grounds and our children couldn't get enough of the magnificent pool. Everything was so clean and well organized! The home had everything we needed and more! It was so nice to have coolers, beach and pool towels, beach chairs, rafts and water toys provided. As I am sure you expected, we have fallen in love with Vieques and are already looking forward to a return visit. Thank you for all your help with everything--especially getting us in touch with Chevy! We had a wonderful time with him in San Juan! He was the perfect tour guide. He even called us after we got to Vieques just to make sure we arrived safely! Karen was great, too. She took excellent care of us while we were on the island. It was truly one of the best vacations we have ever taken! Thanks again!

We totally enjoyed Las Terrazas. The privacy was all that we hoped for. The house and the pool were more than we hoped for. We used both the upper and lower areas, depending on the weather and the time of day. Lots of reading and relaxation. It was the best rental we have been in, maybe ever. Thank you for sharing it with us for a week. Las Terrazas was truly a Vieques haven for us.

Las Terrazas is fantastic! The photos do not do the place justice. The house itself is immaculate, well appointed, extremely comfortable, GORGEOUS! We cannot wait to return.

We could not have asked for anything more - this home had every amenity possible. We enjoyed coffee and meals on the terraces as well as watching the breathtaking starlit nights. The pool was perfect - size, temperature and cleanliness. The whole house was spotless. Guidebooks, puzzles, games, books, pool toys, sand toys, beach chairs, umbrellas - all available at the house for use. The beds were very comfortable, towels fresh and clean for the pool and beach. The house was truly the best place for a family to stay. We all fell in love with the house and Vieques. Also, great communication with the owners and local representative.
