The River Zen House is special. You will be in an excellent location. It is just 10 inutes to Mt. Cranmore, 25 to Attitash and minutes to the rest of your choice of 5 ski areas. You will be just 5 minutes to 2 major grocery stores, factory outlets, amenities, and the strip of North Conway.
It is a 5 bedroom, 2 living room, private country/contemporary waterfront house with a sandy beach and excellent swimming and beautiful views of the Saco river. Attractions for winter stays include the field stone fireplace, flat, easy access driveway and parking, and its proximity to ski resorts and shopping.
Please take a look at the photos. The property has its own private tennis court, large yard and is located smack dab in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire directly on the beautiful Saco River. It is close to lots of activities, restaurants, shopping and 5 ski resorts. The fieldstone fireplace, the spruce wood walls and cathedral ceilings give a cozy feeling of comfort and relaxation, up-country style.
The 3 sliding glass patio doors give constant views to the Saco river that runs through the back yard. From the large wrap-around deck and screened enclosure overlooking the water, watch the canoers and tubers float past. Socialize, barbeque or simply listen to the river as it passes. Our tennis court is for your exclusive use. Our private beach abutts the property. The waters of the Saco are crystal clear and usually warm and gentle during the summer with easy, family-friendly entry into the water. We have a huge yard, a small convenience store at the end of the gravel road and walking paths scattered about.
The River Zen House offers plenty of room for medium to large families and groups and is a special treat for a couple or a small group to have it all to yourselves. We love it. Our friends who visit love it. It is a very nice and peaceful place to be.
We typically rent the property for the entire winter season from mid or late December to April 15. It is available for vacation weeks (7 day weeks only) during the summer months and weekends all other times.

Just a short thank you to the owners of this wonderful property. My wife and two adult children along with another family stayed for an extended weekend in mid November. All of us were so pleased. The place is so spacious and rustic, with an amazing natural surrounding. Would highly recommend. Will return again for sure.

We rented this home for our 2010 family vacation. I can't say enough about the homes location. You are only 10 minutes from the center of North Conway and yet it is very private and secluded, right on the Saco River. The home has many recent updates so you can tell that the owners care greatly for this property. There is a private tennis court which was a huge hit with my clan. The yard is beautifully landscaped. I loved the large screened in porch and huge deck. I spent many evenings enjoying both. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms ample and roomy. The home was clean and quaint. The owners provided wonderful customer service and gave us many ideas for activities nearby as well as restaurants in the area that they recommended. We would rent this home again in the future if available and would definitely recommend it to our friends.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've been at this vacation rental in Winter and Summer and no matter when, we've found comfort,relaxation and beautiful scenary. Downstairs offers a separate living area for children(which ours loved) or another family. The deck and enclosed porch provide the perfect spot to sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the beauty of the River right in front of you. Very Private and Peaceful, but then only a short drive(10 min) to Settler's Green, Supermarkets and many Ski Areas. The house is always beautifully cleaned and you can find welcoming items such as little shampoos, soaps, lotions and even a dish of candy. In the Winter there's a beautiful stone Fireplace and in the Summer there's Central Air Conditioning(which you don't always find up north). Ii would highly recommend this Beautiful Property.
