The Brotchie House is a 5 bedroom, 2 living room, private house with a sandy beach and excellent swimming. It has a tennis court, large yard and is located smack dab in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire on the beautiful Saco River close to 5 ski resorts, shopping, restaurants and activities. It is a country/contemporary house, our family get-away. The fieldstone fireplace, the spruce wood walls and cathedral ceilings give a cozy feeling of comfort and relaxation, up-country style.
The 3 sliding glass patio doors give constant views to the river that runs through the back yard. From the large wrap-around deck and screened enclosure overlooking the water, watch the canoers and tubers float past. Socialize, barbeque or simply listen to the river 'purr' as it passes. Our tennis court is on our property and is for your exclusive use. Our private beach abutts the property. The waters of the Saco are crystal clear and usually warm and gentle with easy, family-friendly entry.
We have a huge yard, a small convenience store at the end of the gravel road and walking paths scattered about. We are in an excellent location. It is 15 to 45 minutes to your choice of 6 ski areas and just 5 minutes to factory outlets, amenities, 2 major grocery stores and the strip of North Conway.
The Brotchie House offers plenty of room for medium to large families and groups and is a special treat for a couple or a small group to have it all to yourselves. We love it. Our friends who visit love it. It is a very nice and peaceful place to be. |
