I've rented this property several times & have noticed an improvement with the new management team from Luxx Hotel. The owner travels a lot so its great having service from the hotel if needs arise. It's clean (hotel cleaning crew I noticed) modern with southwest vibe & I've rented in 4 or 5 times now. Google TV is nice in master & the kitchen works for a chef (I'm a chef) with Viking & Miele appliances. Not to sound trite, "I will be back" literally.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

What a surprise it was to arrive at the place and found that it was not anything like the pictures on the website. I thought we were at the wrong house. Photos were very deceptive. The house had a huge water stain on the living floor, roof had been leaking, living couch was held up with a box underneath, flies were flying everywhere, ants on the kitchen counter, holes in wall, wires covered up with cloth and duct tape that looked tacky and unsafe. House looks like it had not been cleaned in a long time; my bed spread was so worn that it had stitches on top, sheets were old. There was trash on the side of the house and another pile of trash on the top of hill. The pictures portrayed a luxury house, but when we got there, it was more like camping out. It is a far cry from being a luxury home! The saving feature was that it had nice artwork on the walls and a beautiful quartz crystal on the dining room table. We made the best of it and had a great weekend in spite of the place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Pros: Great layout and spacious property; 3 Guest suites; Beautiful views; Several parking spots; Good location with easy access to downtown and Cerillos Road Cons: Had to "check-in" downtown Santa Fe to get directions that I had already obtained via email; owner was there and still cleaning when we arrived at 6:00pm!!!; The house was still dirty; people were hanging out and working on a car in the driveway until 6:30 pm; dog poop on one balcony; roof-top balcony unuseable b/c of broken couch strewn about; living room couch was MISSING a leg we were uninformed of, and learned about the hard way; window coverings were cheap/sheer and torn to shreds in one room; trash on patio in front of house; received a call the day before we left wanting to know "when we were leaving;" dirty tissues in dresser drawer; artwork had fallen off of the walls and not re-hung; showers leaked; huge hair clump in one shower drain; etc. etc. etc.Recommended for: Pet owners.

We have rented from this management company for years now- always professional and timely. The house has a great open floor plan with mountain views from every window. We had three couples stay very comfortably as each bed room is set up like a suite with its own private bathroom and shower. The house is close enough to town to make it convenient but far enough away to provide peace and quite (and those great views I mentioned).Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Soulfood Casita which is located next door to the Soulfood Casa. We found the perfect spot for our cozy, winter week in Santa Fe and couldn't have been happier with it. The casita is beautifully designed and decorated and has all the amenities one could ask for, including a beautiful fireplace and a huge flat screen tv. The views of the mountains were breathtaking! And though we felt like we were secluded in the hills of Santa Fe, we were so close to downtown and a quick ride up to the ski basin where we skied during the day and cozied up at the casita at night. The management was very helpful and friendly too. I would definitely stay here again - and hope to stay at the Casa with a larger group of friends sometime in the future. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer! Next time, we're going to extend the trip a few days - the snow and the accommodations made this a most memorable and enjoyable vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Too horrific to waste time on. Just be sure to use a reputable credit card so they can fight the owner to get your money back. Went for a girl's birthday trip (bunch of 50 year olds). Place was filthy, did not look ANYTHING like the photos on website. We have our own photos if you are interested. Owner was not pleasant. Run,don't walk, to any other rental.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

It was an ordeal from start to finish. Ants in the kitchen, dead flies in the freezer, mouse droppings under the sink, wires coming out of the wall, inadequate air conditioning, the house was not clean. The list goes on and on. I did not find the owner helpful. I would never recommend this property to anyone.Owner response: This is one of those difficult situations. Throughout their stay we made every effort to accommodate their needs. In the end the person who we had a contract with said she was satisfied with the partial refund & stay. Unfortunately, her friend did not agree & posted this review. Truth is that you can't win them all & we hope people will read all the reviews here & on our website. This is an amazing house & an amazing value in Santa Fe with 360 degree views, beautiful sunsets & true luxury throughout!

The house and casita worked out really well for our two families (4 adults & 5 kids). The kitchen is big and well stocked and the kitchen table is nice and big. The house is really close to the Plaza which was great and we had great views all around. We saw lots of fireworks on July 3 and 4 right from the porch off the master bedroom upstairs. An unusually big storm caused some rain to get into house one night which wasn't great but the owner took care of it. The older kids really liked staying in the Casita on their own. It was a fun visit and the houses worked out well for us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
