As Owners who live here six months of the year we pride ourselves in providing all the amenities one could possibly want to make your visit enjoyable. We have often been told that staying in our condo is like being on a cruise ship, as you are surrounded by water and are able to view the Ocean from both the Lanai and out the Front door.
You will find that you are only steps away from two remarkable sand beaches where the best Southshore surfing, snorkeling, and sunbathing take place. There is no hassle of packing your car or walking a long distance to the beach. Just stroll down the stairs or take the elevator and you’ll have two pristine beaches to enjoy. Our exceptional Fourth floor views cannot be equaled as you cast your eyes on the majestic mountains and beautiful Hoai Bay. Our top floor, peaceful, 20 foot Lanai offers privacy while watching the sea turtles, whales, and “Locals” throwing their fish nets. You will enjoy the magnificent sunrise and also appreciate the gentle tradewinds throughout the day. Kauai doesn’t get any better. The open floor plan with Hawaiian artwork and native Koa wood accents allow you to enjoy the view from the living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room features tropical décor in a large sitting area with a 32” Sony LCD T.V. and a desk with high-speed internet connection available. Our updated, immaculate condo also features one bathroom with an oversized, tiled, glass enclosed shower. Since we do live here six months of the year, our place is meticulously maintained, cared for, and appointed with luxuries to meet your every need. Not a detail has been overlooked. This is not our business, but a paradise we would like to share with you.
Within walking distance is Spouting Horn Park where you can see “blow hole” and bargain shop in the many local run booths. Just before Spouting Horn is the National Tropical Botanical Gardens Visitor Center. This incredibly beautiful garden consists of 252 rich, lush acres of varied plants, palms, and birds, and offers both guided and self-guided tours. Kukui’ula Village, located at the round-about that leads to Kuhio Shores, is within walking distance and is reminiscent of a quaint sugar cane town. Plantation style architecture in a lush tropical setting offers a relaxing time of shopping and dining. Kuhio Shores sits next to the famous Beach House restaurant. It offers spectacular sunsets right on the beach that will linger in your memory long after you return home. For cooking at “home”, be sure to check out the wonderful fish markets, green markets, and fruitstands where you can pick up the Island’s best tropical fish and homegrown fruits and veggies.
In Kauai, every day is a great day. Much of the rainfall is a nightly occurrence and the rain showers that do occur are almost always brief. It is truly beautiful, and a blessing if it rains, and often is followed by glorious rainbows.
We invite you to enjoy our home-away-from-home on the beautiful Island of Kauai. We are confident you will not be disappointed in your choice of our condo, in a one of a kind location. If you need further information or have any questions, feel free to contact our daughter, Jane, who manages our condo. MAHALO

While vacationing on the Island of Kauai, one of the places I stayed on the south side of the island was a condo at “Kuhio Shores”, #404. The accommodations were very pleasant, comfortable, peaceful and were an added comfort to my stay on the island. I really enjoyed the 4th floor privacy, its views and the tropical island breezes; the condo had excellent cross-through ventilation. In addition, its proximity to 4 major island attractions (of my interest) was excellent: 1. Horseback riding along the southern coast 2. Na Pali Coast catamaran dinner cruise 3. Po’ipu Beach 4. Waimea Canyon – touring drive When I return to the Island of Kauai, I will certainly inquire as to the availability of Kuhio Shores #404.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

We stayed in Kuhio Shores #404 for a week during our honeymoon. It was in a wonderful location with The Beach House Restaurant right next door and walking distance to a beach with great snorkeling. From the lanai we could watch sea turtles floating around in the little bay. The condo had lot of little extras that helped out like cloth grocery bags, snorkel gear and guide books. The place was very clean and had a beautiful view of the sunrise every morning.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This is the perfect place to relax on the lanai while watching the turtles in the small bay just steps from the building. The unit is well appointed with a great double shower and an updated kitchen. You will be so comfortable here you won't want to do tourist things! The building is very quiet and the unit offers outstanding ocean views. Plus, there are several great seafood restaurants just minutes away and the swimming beach is next door.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
