Oceanfront. Eugenia Ave. Great Location, Best Rate for House on Beach.

Our home is undoubtedly the most reasonably priced house on the beach. The only thing between our front row home and the beach is the dunes, our private dune deck, and our beach boardwalk. Walk out the door of our home and access Kiawah's spectacular ten mile beach and the glistening Atlantic Ocean in our backyard.
In the house, you can hear the surf and feel the ocean breeze. Staying DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH makes your vacation much more enjoyable...(and there are fewer hassles). You can put your beach gear out in the morning and leave it all day. (Since there is no parking anywhere near the beach, folks have to tote their gear across the island...unless they're staying right on the beach.) It is a luxury to be able to walk a few steps to the house for a drink or for lunch, to take a break from the sun, to check on your family or catch the news (or, if you must, check your email). Our dune deck is a wonderful spot for morning coffee, happy hour, sunbathing, surf watching, and stargazing (it has a big sky view). You can also take your baby monitor and spend time under the sun or the moon, while keeping tabs on your sleeping infant or TV-watching children in the house.
The living room has ample, comfortable seating (2 sofas; 1 converts to a comfortable double bed). It has Cable TV/DVD/VCR and component stereo system and woodburning fireplace. The dining room seats eight and has a sideboard. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a bar with three stools at the window. The screened porch has a small dining table and eight comfortable cushioned chairs.
The master bedroom has a very comfortable king bed, two dressers, rattan sofa and chair, cable TV/DVD. The second bedroom has a comfortable king bed, two dressers, and rattan chair, TV/DVD. The third bedroom has new twin beds and two dressers, small TV/DVD/VCR. Two baths.
Cypress walls and ceilings and hardwood floors throughout give the house a clean, charming, beach house ambiance. The yard is large with stately live oaks and palm trees and there is a two-car carport. The house is clean and well-equipped. However, we do not provide beach towels or beach chairs (but chairs and umbrellas can be rented on the beach).
Strolling the ten mile long, pristine, wide Kiawah Beach or swimming, boogie boarding, or body surfing in the calm Atlantic waters cannot be beat. Birdwatching (pelicans, egrets, herons, sand pipers, etc.), dolphin and shrimp boat watching, and wildlife/nature watching (alligators, deer, bobcats, etc.) are restful pastimes. Surf fishing, crabbing, and shrimping are some of the favorite activities on Kiawah. Kayaks, surf boards, and windsurfing gear can be rented on the beach. Canoes can be rented on the Kiawah River.
Bicycling is a favorite activity. Rental bikes can be ordered in advance and delivered the day you arrive. There are 30 miles of bike trails all over the Island. There is now a nice bike trail off the Island, taking you to shops, Seabrook and Johns Island. We are a short walk to the Straw Market shops and restaurants. Bohicket Marina, right off the Island, has restaurants, shops, boats for rent, parasailing, deep-sea fishing, etc. Picturesque Freshfield's Market at the entrance to Kiawah offers restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, soda fountain, bookstore, outdoor outfitter, fashion boutiques, banks, great grocery store, concerts, local produce at farmer's market, and much more. There is more to do than ever on Kiawah... or you can do absolutely nothing!!! There is a never-ending assortment of activities in neighboring Charleston and around the Low Country (museums, plantations, aquarium, Fort Sumter, shops, restaurants, theatre, etc.). Kiawah is a gorgeous, tranquil, safe island, perfect for a family vacation. We'd love to rent our relaxing beachfront home to you.
ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
* Our home is Non-Smoking (except on the screened porch).
* Our home is open to renters' pet dogs. Dogs must be well-trained and well-behaved. They must be freshly groomed and must not come into the house wet or sandy. They must be on flea preventative. I love what one renter wrote to me:
“One word answers don’t seem adequate enough to describe our experience at Kiawah. Well actually one word does describe it, PERFECT!
“Was the house what I expected? No, it was better. I had never rented over the internet before and wasn’t familiar with Kiawah and although exactly as stated on VRBO.com all I kept thinking on the 12 hour trip down was, ‘It sounds too good to be true. A house on the beach and they allow dogs. Something has got to be wrong.’ I worried the entire trip down. I was ecstatic and relieved to find the house charming, clean, and comfortable. I’ve been many places but never felt so at home. We all felt that way, even the dogs…
“We definitely want to rent again and again. I didn’t want to leave and considered squatting. If we ever win the lottery we will make you an offer with the promise never to ‘tear down’.
“If a genie told me I could have any house on Kiawah Island, 3 Eugenia would be my choice, it is the only one that looks like it belongs there and feels like a home. Thank you so much for sharing it!”

Your home is one of the most comfortable places we have ever stayed. From the beds to the couches, it felt just like home.
Your kitchen is very well equipped. I had forgotten the taste of charcoal burgers and smores.

We have had the pleasure of staying at this wonderfully low key, classic beach house for the past 4 years! A low slung brick ranch that is nestled behind the dunes, this home truly allows form to follow function...perfect example, our favorite room is the porch located just off the kitchen. Totally screened in with large roof overhangs, this room provide a fantastic escape from the summer sun while still allowing for a non stop ocean breeze to pass through. We start every morning out there, sipping coffee while being greeted by the sun as it wakes up and washes over the dunes and I don't think we have ever missed a night enjoying cocktails, listening to music and watching the candles dance in the sea breeze. The porch leads to a private walkway that leads to the Atlantic as it splashes and crashes on one of the most beautiful arcs of unspoiled firm sand on the east coast! Perfect for boogie boarding & building sand castles, riding bikes and critter gathering (starfish, sand dollars etc.) The beach and island are consistently rated at the top of many travel lists. The dunes behind the surf are home to the cherished Loggerhead Turtles, a large deer heard, and some other fun wildlife. Bring your camera, you will definitely have some great opportunities for sunset shots of dear on the dunes! Back at the house...from the rustic brick exterior to the wonderfully "woody" interior (floor to ceiling wood cladding) the entire property was built to stand the test of time!. Definitely designed for families, we have found the simple furnishings and nearly indestructible finishes perfect for a carefree week at the beach with children. With three bed rooms and two full baths, there is plenty of room to share with another couple or family as we often do (this place is to nice not to share!) The living spaces are comfortable and appropriately scaled to allow enough room for stretching out but at the same time create an sense of intimacy that has been lost in most modern homes. The original kitchen (complete with Formica counter tops and that cool aluminum edge) is well equipped but a bit small if you have more than two cooks in the kitchen so spark up the Webber and grill some local shrimp... everything you need is there! We just love our time spent at the property and cherish the memories we have made on the island. We are planning to return again next year to continue our family tradition of spending a wonderful week at Kiawah in a house that soothes our souls!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
