Heron by the Bay was built over 100 years ago and has recently been remodelled, preserving much of the original character, with exposed hand-hewn beams which complement the wood and ceramic tile floors.
You will find linens, quilts, fans, central vac, shampoo, soaps, laundry/dish detergents, hand cream, tinfoil and food wraps for your use in the house.
It's a two-minute walk to Little East River Beach, and just a little further to the big beach. Enjoy nature at its best walking along the shore. Great Blue Herons are frequently spotted fishing for their dinner. Mackerel jump to catch theirs. Sand, seashells, sailboats ... with its many islands and protected waters, Mahone Bay is one of the world's best areas for sailing. The white sails of the boats make walks along the shore even more picturesque.
Around the Aspotogan Peninsula is a very scenic drive, with fishing villages, fine beaches, and interesting places to eat along the way.
For the littlest ones we have a high chair and a soft-sided playpen, also useful as a place for baby to sleep. There are safety gates and safety caps for electrical plugs if you need them.
We have an assortment of toys and games for indoor and outdoor play, including beach toys, a scooter and lawn toys. Bicycles for a family of 4 are available upon request. |
