Great Stay

Guest: Tristan (Fairfax)
Date of Stay: 12/28/11 Review Submitted: 01/02/12

While we struck out with the snow (who would have guessed there would be next to none at the end of December), the cabin was great. There was just the right amount of space for two adults and two kids (6 and 7). The location was great too. Easy access to Squaw, Alpine, etc. The owner was very responsive and friendly and everything was clean and organized on our arrival. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Fabulous find on the west side!

From the moment we opened the door to the cabin, we knew we'd picked the right vacation spot. The unit is bright and clean...a breath of fresh air after a few stays in dingy and a bit too "old world" Tahoe 1960's cabins. There was just enough pine accent in the kitchen and ceiling beams to remind you that you were in Tahoe, but with a modern edgy twist. I appreciated the fabulous TV and stereo and my daughter loved the open staircase leading upstairs and the dresser full of games. We found the kitchen to have everything we needed to make dinner in after a long day on the slopes, and the beds were prefectly inviting and offered a great nights sleep. We look forward to vising again the summer too!

We had a very nice stay at this cabin. It is fully equipped with anything you might need, from the fully equipped kitchen to the bathroom stocked with towels. The cabin is super close to Tahoe City and Homewood which is great and the owners are responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy stay on the West Shore.

Perfect little cabin for our weekend away

Guest: Brian (San Francisco, CA)
Date of Stay: 10/07/11 Review Submitted: 10/11/11

My fiance and I had a very pleasurable stay for a long weekend in October. While small, the cabin was in great shape, impeccably clean, and had absolutely everything we needed. The photos honestly do not do the place justice - we were even more impressed when we arrived in-person. The location was perfect for us as well - just a short stroll to Sunnyside, or a short car trip into Tahoe City. The owners were also very friendly and exceptionally responsive via email. We hope to stay here again and recommend it highly.

We had the best experience at Tahoe. I also dreamed to stay in a small cabin like this. It is like a fairy tale. The size is perfect for our family. Kids loved it . My 5 year old thought it was a small castle:) Only wish I brought more food to cook. You definitely feel home there. will come again

Magical Cabin

Guest: Mario (Croatia)
Date of Stay: 01/02/11 Review Submitted: 01/25/11

We stayed for 12 days in January 2011 so really had time to explore the area and enjoy the benefits of the house. It is more spacious than it seems and gives a very pleasent feeling. The wood stove itself heats up the house. Easy winter access and very convenient for skiing Squaw, Alpine, North Star and especially Homewood is a few minutes ride away. You wont miss by choosing this one. I know I want to come back!

Best kept secret next to Tahoe City!

Guest: Caroline (Reno, NV/USA)
Date of Stay: 07/07/10 Review Submitted: 07/16/11

We were incredibly lucky to find this fabulous cabin for the 3.5 weeks that we needed to vacate our home during a remodel. The cabin is extremely clean, updated and well kept. A dream for allergy sufferers--no animal hair, organic and mild products used in the cabin--it was amazing. The cabin's caretaker lives down the street and offered many suggestions for local fun and supplies..she was a great resource-even when my son got sinus infection, I knew where the urgent care was located. We're trying to plan our next family visit and for me...a girl's weekend! The location is great...walking distance to beach, rated restaurants and soft serve ice cream. Great area for biking and hiking too.

We arrived at the cabin and were surprised at what we saw. The pictures do not do this place justice. The simple elegance of the house made us feel right at home. A well-stocked wood pile allowed us to use the fabulous wood-burning stove every day. Our teenage boys enjoyed sleeping in the loft and having their "own space." The location of the cabin allowed easy access to Homewood Ski Resort and Tahoe City. Local restaurants, Fire Sign Cafe and Jiffy's Pizza, were wonderfully delicious! We HIGHLY recommend this cabin to everyone. We hope to make it a yearly vacation spot!

The cabin was amazing and a perfect fit for a couple. The proximity to Homewood was ideal and made for a great winter getaway. I will definitely try and stay at this cabin again for another long weekend.

What a WONDERFUL, CHARMING cabin!!! This place is a real gem! The owners have such a great taste. Everything is arranged and decorated so nicely - it was a pleasure to stay in this beautiful, clean and modern environment. The cabin is perfect for 3 -4 adults. We loved the walking distance to the homeowners beach, the fireside cafe and the biking trail which is not far from the house. Everything was perfect - and the communication with the owners is really pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay at this "perfect" little cabin and hope that we will have the opportunity to return back soon!

Sweet A-frame cabin in a great location! My son and I stayed here during February ski week and had a blast. It was just the two of us so my high school age son had the upstairs all to himself and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom. The cabin is comfortably remodeled and is easy walking distance to Sunnyside and the Firesign Cafe. The street is flat to the cabin as well as the driveway which is a bonus during snowy weather. The driveway was plowed when we arrived and the street was plowed each day. My son and I agree we will stay here again.

The other guests have said it all! Perfect location, great neighborhood, perfectly equipped and furnished, nicely decorated; we felt at home right away. We would like to add how easy and nice it was to deal with the owners (rental agreement, availability, keys). Do not hesitate: it is a prefect place for a small family.

This A frame was a great spot to spend the weekend. It was so nice to find a clean, well maintained, inviting cabin for a reasonable price compared to other Tahoe rentals. The outside was beautifully landscaped too. Of course the girls particularly liked the playground at the beach and my husband and I enjoyed the view down the lake. We also hiked part of the Rubicon trail along the lake which was magnificent. Tahoe was just at it best - quiet and peaceful and the fall colors beautiful. The stay was just too short!

We have stayed in this A frame during winter ski season several times. It is a perfect setup. The kitchen is well organized, the entertainment center is complete and the wood stove makes for a very cozy family nest. The location is perfect for family skiing with Homewood just 3 miles south and this year Homewood has a new quad express chair and adult tix are only $33 midweek. Also Alpine and Squaw are both within 15 minutes drive from cabin. It is also close to Highway 89 and reliable snow removal so getting out from recent snowstorm was easy. If you don't ski that's ok as there is sledding at Granlibaken or get some snow shoes and head to lots of trails around. So book this Aframe, bring your food and DVD's and you'll have a great stay.

Very Positive, EXCELENTE! We discovered a new Lake Tahoe. We loved the area and the delightful cabin. Very well equiped, spacious and cozzy. We spent one of our best summer vacations there. Our two-year old enjoyed the private beach and its amenities. The cabin was very clean and loved the fact that had environmentally friendly cleaning products, very thoughtful. We hope to come back soon.

What a lovely cabin! We have stayed here twice, for Thanksgiving 2006 and Labor Day 2007, and both times it was perfect for our needs. It is always spotless and well-equipped, and the private beach park access in the summer was a big hit for our 2 year old. We hope to visit again soon!

What a great cabin! The owners have kept it very clean and every single amenity you need during a vacation is there. The location is conveniently located close to the private beach and the bike trail. Even though you are only a few miles away from the junction (89 meets the 25) where its busy, still this cabin will give you that serene feeling of just enjoying the comforts of nature. Thanks Terry and Polly! - Derick G. from San Jose, CA

We also loved being so close to Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park Beach. Thank you. We look forward to our next visit.

We have just returned to England from California (July 2007), we spent 4 nights at this beautiful A Frame cabin and had a wonderful time. I would thoroughly reccommend this delightful accommodation, it is immaculately clean and extremely well equipped. The location is perfect on a very quiet road. The walk to the Lake is a very pleasant 5 minute stroll, with even closer access to bike rental. The drive to Tahoe City is approx. 5 minutes where there are numerous retaurants and shopping facilities. The private beach access is very useful, the public beaches were very crowded.
