Location: Anderson Island, Puget Sound, Washington State, USA (A small island approximately 40 minutes from Tacoma.)

Accommodations:  House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 8)

This beautiful, contemporary home sits on 1.25 acres. Open floor plan, living room, dining room, and kitchen all overlook Amsterdam Bay with an incredible sound view.

You will not be disappointed in this beautiful, nearly new, modern home with kitchen island, vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors, pellet stove, and huge deck overlooking the sound. King bed in master with down comforter, two twins in second bedroom. Both of these bedrooms have a great view. Second master suite on lower level, with bunk bed and queen sleeper, deck and view. NOTE: Please, No Smoking and No Pets.

Getting to this quaint, peaceful island is half the fun. A ten minute drive off I-5, then a 25 minute ferry ride takes you back in time to this slow paced type lifestyle. No traffic. Deer are plentiful. Bald eagles nest around the bay. Serenity plus. In winter, snuggle up by the pellet stove with a good book. We supply many games and puzzles.

After full payment has been received, the reservation deposit becomes a refundable security deposit and will be mailed back to you after satisfactory review by our housecleaning staff. We will deduct for damages or higher than normal cleaning charges.

If after full payment has been received you must cancel your reservation, every effort will be made to rebook that time. You will be reimbursed only for the nights that we are able to rebook.

  • We highly recommend this beautiful home. It is lovingly cared for and immaculate. The setting and immediate neighborhood is charming (on a gentle hillside overlooking Amsterdam Bay). The house has fantastic views of the bay. Our family had a blast kayaking and swimming at nearby Lake Florence. We saw dolphins on the ferry ride to the island and deer from the deck of the home. The owners were a pleasure to work with and helped make our stay extra special. We find Anderson Island to be a hidden gem. Anderson Island is very easy to reach from Seattle, Olympia or Portland. Our stay at Anderson Island was similar to those on the San Juan Islands but less expensive and closer to home albeit with fewer island community amenities. This home is an amazing retreat for peaceful relaxation/an excellent value!
