Let our spacious new luxury Villa Simply Paradise pamper you in paradise. Our 4200 square feet of living space is perched on a gentle hillside overlooking the beautiful mile long Cofresi beach, one of the finest on the Dominican Republic’s north shore. Simply Paradise is only a 10 minute walk from the spectacular new Ocean World eco-park.
Villa Simply Paradise is designed for couples, small groups or larger families. Gather with friends and family on the large porches overlooking the beach and mountains. Enjoy gorgeous sunrises, sunsets and the constant cooling trade winds or escape to the privacy of your air-conditioned bedroom and private balcony. Simply Paradise can sleep 10 adults in private bedrooms with private baths. The villa also has the capacity to sleep another 4 guests on convertible beds in other rooms.
Couples can expect an intimate experience with the upper private terrace being just right for romantic dinners and cuddling in the moonlight. Your discrete staff will afford you all the privacy you desire.
Small groups and large families will appreciate the 2 family rooms, porches and terraces. Our dining table is routinely set for 10 but can be expanded to 14. The porches can be set up for informal dining, a favorite place for breakfast or lunch. If your family is like ours and you would like a little privacy from time to time, you will also appreciate the personal space and quiet time afforded by your large bedroom, private bathroom and balcony.
Relax on the porches, catch rays poolside, play and swim at the beach, or participate in one of the many north shore tours and attractions that can be arranged for you by our staff. When you are ready, our housekeeper will serve you her fresh pina coladas and tasty snacks poolside or on the porch, then she will pamper your palates with a dinner that you have chosen from her extensive culinary repertoire. If you decide to eat out, there are a number of excellent restaurants within a short walk or ride from your villa.
Your kids will love the beach and the pool but when it is time to come in out of the sun they will enjoy the video games and DVDs that we have provided.
For our handicapped guests, Simply Paradise was designed with your special needs in mind. The entire main floor and the pool area is wheelchair accessible. Your private bath is designed to allow wheelchair access as well. If you need special assistance, our staff can arrange to have someone available as needed. And, should you need medical care, there is a 24 hour affordable quality medical care available.
Simply Paradise shares beautiful Cofresi Beach with two world class resorts and the new marine eco-park, Ocean World. The coral sand is cool on the feet and soft to the touch. There is ample shade provided by swaying palms and lush sea grapes for those who have had enough sun but still want to enjoy the atmosphere. On one end of the mile long beach are rocks and coral that invite snorkelers when the sea is calm. There are usually breakers for body surfing in some areas but then the rest is just right for swimming and wading.
There are no rip tides, no dangerous under tows and no jelly fish at Cofresi. The only sharks that you will see are in the shark habitat at Ocean World. Quaint Dominican souvenir kiosks are set along the beach area but you will not be hassled by hawkers on the beach itself, that is not allowed. Beach chairs and water toys are available at stands on the beach.
For exciting night life, the casinos and Caribbean discos in Puerto Plata provide an electric atmosphere. Hit the clubs to dance the night away to the beat of salsa and the merengue, or try your luck at one of the casinos. The new Casino and disco at Ocean World is only a 10 minute walk away. Our favorite night life, however, is to sit on the balcony and enjoy the millions of stars visible above the rollers on the ocean.
For our golfing friends, some of the Caribbean’s best courses are in the Dominican Republic. A fifteen minute drive will put you on the beautiful courses at Playa Dorado, and a hour long drive through the beautiful Dominican countryside will put you on the Robert Trent Jones course at Playa Grande. There will be no fighting for tee times, our staff will make all the arrangements for you.
Snorkelers and divers will find plenty in the DR to entertain them. When the wind is right, the snorkeling at Cofresi or neighboring Costamba beech offer beautiful coral, rocks and tropical fish. There are also many other snorkel areas a short drive or short boat trip away. North shore diving trips to reefs and wrecks can also be arranged by our staff.
Although the Dominican Republic is not yet known as a shoppers’ paradise, you will find lots to take home. Locally produced rums and famous cigars are favorites as are the bright Caribbean paintings. The Dominican Republic is the only place in the world that the gem stone larimar is found and one of the few places in the world that mines amber. These jewels are readily available as are others from jewellers in Puerto Plata.
The casual Dominican life-style fits perfectly with a relaxed vacation. But for those who insist on bringing work with them, the villa has WiFi access.
Your cook and housekeeper is a native of Puerto Plata. She is a superb cook and will also clean daily. For larger groups, an assistant housekeeper will be provided at no extra charge. A cell phone is provided for the villa which makes it easy and affordable to tell those back home about the fantastic time you are having. Cable TV, VCR/DVD, CD sound system, video game system, full kitchen with utensils, and all linens are provided. We also have a collection of DVDs, video games, and paperbacks for your use while at Simply Paradise.

Wow. I just spent a week at this beautiful Villa. The place is beautiful, staff is excellent, location is great. Cofresi is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway. You will not want to leave the villa. The upstairs covered porch is so relaxing with an unbelievable view of the water, as well as the mountains. Josie, the housekeeper/cook is reason enough to rent this Villa. She is a beautiful person, although be prepared to put on a few pounds, she is an EXCELLENT cook. Ramon, the night watchman was also a pleasure, he is a very good man. I could go on and on, but I won't. Rent this place, you will be glad you did!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Good Morning I just wanted to let you know that our group had a fantastic time July 20th through July 26th. The villa was better than expected and your staff was wonderful. They took care of our every need and made us feel like family. Please share with Yosi, Suzana, Sandi and Willy our heartfelt appreciation. Thanks again for helping to make Tanya's 40th birthday a celebration she will never forget. BTW - I was thinking of returning to Puerto Plata for a week or so in October and was wondering if you have any other properties for rent or could suggest someplace else. Norm, Thank you for everything you did to help make this a very special vacation for us. I have copied everyone here so they have your email address for future contact. We all enjoyed the country (DR), village (Sun), city (Puerta Plata) and especially the villa (Simply Paradise) for our 2007 vacation holiday. Norm you villa is beautiful and your staff was wonderful! Josi and Suzanne are excellent cooks and housekeepers. Sandy and Alejandro keep the pool and villa in excellent shape. Gabino welcomed us and introduced us to the villa and the area. Norm, Just wanted to let you know we had an awesome trip. The place is absolutely beautiful, the service amazing and I cannot say enough about Yosi and Gabino, they were truly unbelieveable. We did have my Mother with us who is 72 so it was a little difficult to get her up and down the mountain with out calling a taxi. And it was!!! We had an awesome time! The villa was beautiful! The staff was great! The snorkeling trip was fantastic! The weather was perfect! It was the best family vacation yet! We also took some of my fabrics to the nuns at the orphanage. My son-in-laws mother helps them teach English there 2 days a week. They have a group of 25 girls that stay there for schooling, etc. We then went to the "Tree House". Run by a gentleman from our town of Waynesville. He has it set up as a place for missionary groups to come and help build houses for the Haitians. Absolutely incredible! He then took us to the Haitian village (NOT the worst of them). The living conditions were deplorable. They will be building another village near Star Hills. The houses cost $3000 each and have running water, toilets, sidewalks, etc. to try to make their lives better. The children were adorable. Loved the digital cameras that they could see their pictures. The website is Dominicancrossroads.com I have a feeling that our church could possible be doing some work down there. I would sure love to have them see the DR. We were able to see all aspects - good and bad. Roy's uncles are medical doctors who also come to the DR for clinic. Hello Norm, I just wanted to drop you a little note to let you know how my stay was at your lovely home. The staff was so nice to me and my friends they made us feel like we were in our on home.
