Historic coral rock home with private 2nd story studio apartment in leafy, friendly, hip Coconut Grove. The studio is upstairs, with double private walled balconies overlooking a secluded backyard pool and jacuzzi. Vine-shaded poolside dining area for our guests. Our two friendly dogs welcome you home in the evening and you may see a cat sunning himself in a Raymond Jungle's designed tropical paradise, replete with unusual palms, flowering trees and vines. There is a large wood swing in the backyard, and a rope swing in the front. The side yard by the cat's porch has a pond with two waterfalls, fish and turtles.
The spacious, elegant, cheerful yellow studio is quite large and furnished with antiques. Upholstered yellow chairs, raspberry and cream sofas, French antique rug and Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. Pull down queen Murphy bed with luxurious high-count linens, snug comforters and billowing pillows. There is plenty of room for a standard queen; but we use this lovely room for social gatherings most of the year and so want a bed that can disappear.
Tidy current kitchen with concrete counters and cottage style painted wood white cabinets. Microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster oven, hot-plate, coffee maker. The cabinets are stocked with tea and cooking essentials.
Luxurious raspberry bath and boudoir. Deep soaking tub with view of tropical greenery. Bath and toilet seperate from large antique dresser and sink in alcove. Large walk in closet. Of course we have all the amenities, TV, stereo, free long distance, high speed computer links, etc. though with this beautiful yard and the Grove so close - why would you need them?
We stroll our safe, friendly neighbourhood every evening. A one mile shady pedestrian and bike path leads along Main Highway to downtown Grove, with cafes and restaurants, movies, music, live theater and shopping.
The apartment is not suitable for children or pets. We're sorry.
