Walk to the beach, just 1½ short blocks from this secluded, private retreat featuring spectacular marsh and sunset views.
You will especially love the large screened porch overlooking the marsh and the comfortable hammock under the oak trees.
Explore Fripp Island -- a golf cart and 4 adult bicycles are included at no extra charge.
After the marsh views and the location near the beach, the best feature of this vacation home is the privacy. Live oak trees disguise the front of the house, the marsh is in the back, and there are no neighbors on either side. Guests won't be bothered by noise from nearby homes, and guests with kids don't have to worry about disturbing neighbors. This really takes the stress out of your vacation.
Tidal High is centrally located right in the middle of Fripp Island, just steps from the beach (mid-island -- the best part of Fripp's beach). The Beach Club complex is just two blocks away, with its swimming pools, tennis courts, gourmet restaurant, a cool beachfront bar, food court, pizza, ice cream, shops and more. The house is also right next door to the marsh boardwalk - take nature walks, a morning jog, bike rides, or go fishing and crabbing on the dock.
The closest beach access to Tidal High is Swordfish Road, right in the middle part of the island. This part of the beach is wide and sandy, even at high tide.
(Ask about the condition of the beach, and the distance to the beach, if you are considering another place on Fripp Island. Some places that advertise an ocean view are actually a mile or two from a good beach.)
Tidal High was renovated in late 2005 - new floors, new furniture, new air conditioning system, and new mattresses on every bed. The HVAC system was replaced in 2006. All new appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher and stove) were installed in 2007.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, a marsh view, and its own bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has three twins. The second and third bedrooms share a full bathroom, but each bedroom has its own private changing area with a sink. There is an additional half bath on the main floor, as well as a full bathroom under the house downstairs (perfect for coming back from the beach). A large dining table seats eight. A marsh-view kitchen table in a breakfast nook surrounded by windows is perfect for card and board games.
Gas grill on the deck is perfect for cookouts.
To really enjoy Fripp Island, guests should have resort amenity cards. Amenity cards may be purchased by guests (currently $35 to $50 per week per person, depending on the season). Kids ages 12 and under do NOT need to purchase their own cards.
Amenity cards offer access to the Fripp Island resort's restaurants, swimming pools, golf courses, tennis courts, the fitness center, island excursions (boat tours, kayaking trips, nature tours, etc.), Camp Fripp for the kids, teen programs, and other island activities.
Non-smoking, and no pets.
