Paula & Jim are extremely easy to work with. the property is exactly as described and pictured. Clean, well decorated and QUIET. Keep in mind the cottage is on a ranch and the chicken coop is nearby but that is part of it's charm and fresh eggs are available on request. My kids loved the fact that they could go inside the pasture with the miniature horse and goats. Loved It! Will definitely return some day.

We just came back from the cottage with the feeling we left home... Paula was great in everything and specially by sharing her time with our daughter. The house is more beautiful as described and the surroundings are astonishing. We had a wonderful time fishing, walking and relaxing by the pond. We want to thank again Paula and Jim for their special behavior - they offered us the cottage for the weekend free of any charge because they had had to cancel a previous weekend contract on a short notice. This is something we will always remember !!!

My husband and I are very busy people and we needed a break and some solitude. This property was wonderful! The cottage is well appointed, beautifully decorated and clean. The lake and the community barn that are within walking distance was interesting and fun and the fenced in yard made bringing my dog a breeze. I would reccommend this property to anyone.

My family of 5 spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the cottage. I have three teenagers --- we love the out doors. The cottage was cosy. It was an excellent use of space!!! Everyone enjoyed our stay--- which is a miracle. The place is very peaceful. Our lifestyle is harried --- this was an excellent retreat. Fire pit s'mores, singing around the fire by night and enjoying the chickens and goats by day!!

Took my two boys here last year around Thanksgiving and we are returning with them again this year. Paula and her husband are amazing folks with great hospitality.. Thank you for opening up your place to us. The boys fished every moring and every evening and all in between, great getaway for the wife to relax while we boys played.. The homeade jams are amazing and the bisquits also... don't forget the farm fresh eggs either... Caught some great bass and huge blue gill (hybrid)... Thanks again we will be back this year in the new house on the 4 acre lake...

My husband, daughter and grandson recently spend the weekend here at the cottage. Everything was just as described and we couldn't have asked for more. All you need to bring are your clothes, food and toothbrush! The cabin, location, owners and amenities are more than we ever expected. We took the "ranch tour" and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Paula is so knowledgeable and treated our grandson like he was one of her own! We can't wait to go back and do some more fishing and play with the animals. Thanks Paula and Jim for everything, we had a great time and hope to see you again real soon.

Our daughter always plans special activities for us to do when we visit her in Texas. This years weekend trip to Pine Grove Cottage will remain as one of the best trips she has planned. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the lake in the backyard and being able to cook out in the evenings. What a wonderful family time together. We also enjoyed the goats, miniature horses and chickens being so close that we could give them treats. Even though it was very hot the weekend we were there, the guys fished all day on the lake in the boats that were provided. My Joe is still talking about his fishing experience in Texas to his friends back home. Thanks Paula and Jim for a great retreat Gail & Joe Liberty, North Carolina

Pine Grove cottage was perfect. We were looking for somewhere quiet that we could go and spend time with the kids before school started. The Archers were great. Everything we needed was supplied and then some. Next time we won't bring as much of our own stuff. The kids had a great time with the animals and fishing in the pond. This is a perfect place to come with your family. You can relax and get away and not have any worries. We will be back.

We needed a place of quiet and rest and we got it! From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The cottage is very comfortable, very clean and has everything you will need. We stayed for a week and enjoyed ever moment. Jim and Paula not only opened up this home but the entire ranch which has several other small, private lakes. My husband has a bad back and we often can't find a place that he is comfortable at and can enjoy..not so with Pine Grove Cottage! He had no problems all week. We enjoyed waking up every morning with our great view, visiting the chickens, goats and ponies, and checking out the other lakes and fishing at each one. Canoes, boats and lifejackets all provided! The evenings we had barbeques and roasted marshmallows for smores. Short scenic drives lead to museums, and old farmstead, orchards to get fresh fruit and veggies, a lovely vineyard & winery and the huge Lake Bob Sandlin. This is the place to stay for everyone! Don't miss this opportunity.

May 6-May 10, 2009 My husband and I and our 2 dogs spent 4 wonderful days at Pine Cove Cottage. It's such a beautiful and perfect setting for relaxing and enjoying nature. We fished and hiked and enjoyed the animals around the ranch. We both slept like babies at night. The cabin is charming and fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. We also had dinner at the winery close by. It was very nice. We also enjoyed the Pittsburg Rodeo on Saturday. This was all and all a favorite amongst the many, many cabins/cottages we have stayed.

We had such a great Thanksgiving Holiday week vacation! Loved every moment and we want to come back for a weekend visit. What great accomodations, loved the canoe - saw the beavers! Loved watching all the birds come and go, enjoyed petting the goats, feeding carrots to the minature horses and most of all - loved the outdoor fire pit and see the night stars. The home was perfect! Quality linens & bedding. Great furniture and all the comforts of home. Plus, your ranch is awesome! Plus, so close to the winery - Friday night live music til 11pm. The tour in the "THING" was wonderful, hearing all about your endeavors. God has blessed you and you are passing it on. I promise we will be back!

The cottage at Pine Grove is one of our favorite getaways! The setting is so picturesque and peaceful with the lake, trees, and the sweet animals. The cottage is adorable and is clean, bright, and has all the conveniences you might need. We have been twice and hope to go back as a family many times again. Thanks Jim and Paula for your hospitality!

We had a great time at Pine Grove cabin. The facility was clean and well-maintained with everything you would need to feel right at home. The owners went over and above our expectations. They took us on a private, informative tour of the ranch. Our children loved the pygmy goats and feeding the baby calf. We enjoyed fishing and riding in boats on the property lakes. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
