Our home is in a gated and walled complex in an upscale neighborhood in the best location in San Miguel.Two blocks to the Jardin; directly across the street from 6 star Rosewood Hotel; 1 block from the Instituto (where many go for art or language classes); and 1/2 block to the park and grocery store.
The house is a delightful 2600 square foot 3 bedroom, 4 bath home with a beautiful, quiet, back garden and casita equipped with a fireplace and gas grill.It is impeccably furnished with colonial antiques, striking art and new upholstered pieces.
Our kitchen contains everything! The breakfast room is charming with its antique cabinets and handpainted old mesquite doors. The living room boasts an incredible cased wax and wood figure of the Archangel San Miguel for whom the city was named. Available are Cable television in all bedrooms, an I-pod amplifier, and a DVD player. The dining room is adjacent to the garden and together 18 people may come to dinner. Mounted on the wall of the garden is a gentle, splashing lion head fountain.
Two Master bedroom suites each with King size bed, television, wi-fi capability and desks. Just bring your laptop. Spacial closets and cabinets for your clothes. Each bedroom contains its own full bathroom. The smaller light and cheery bedroom is ample with a queen size bed, its own balcony and colonial tiled full bath. The living areas are equipped with new convection gas heaters for cool weather. The shed contains a washer and dryer. There is an upstairs sunroom and an additional roof terrace from which you may enjoy views of the parroquia, other churches, the park, the mountains,sunrise and birds returning to roost at sunset.

Why the Owner Chose Centro Historico
Since my first visit to San Miguel in the mid-sixties my dream was to retire there. I live in SAn Miguel for part of every year and thoroughly enjoy my stay. Winters I spend at the beach on the Riviera Maya, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. I have grandchildren in the States and they are the hook that draws me away from Mexico.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
I have an on-site Administrator who is also my compadre. He will take care of you and help with any problem that may arise. It is sometimes tricky to turn on the hot water heater or operate the gas heaters in the winter and Anselmo will cheerfully instruct you or do it. Also, there is security 24/7 which does not indicate imminent danger but in today's world is wise.

I have lived in Mexico most of my life and am fluent in spanish. I am an art collector so my home reflects the fruit of my searches. Needless to say I am very well acquainted with all aspects of Mexican culture.
