Casita Verde
Our home is in a gated and walled complex in an upscale neighborhood in the best location in San Miguel. Two blocks to the Jardin; 1 block from the Instituto (where many go for art or language classes); and 1/2 block to the park and grocery store.
The house is a delightful 2700 square foot 2 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home with a beautiful, quiet, back garden that seats 12 people. Our home is impeccably furnished with colonial antiques, striking art and new upholstered pieces.
Our kitchen contains everything! The breakfast room is charming with its antique cabinets and old mesquite doors. The living room boasts an incredible cased wax and wood figure of the Archangel San Miquel for whom the city was named. An expanded english package of cable television, a stereo CD player, a VCR and a DVD (Incidentally, Blockbuster only has English movies on DVD’s now) are installedin the living room. Our dining room is adjacent to the garden and enjoys a lovely view. Mounted on the wall of the garden is a gentle, splashing lion head fountain.
A 1/2 bath is located on the lower level. The Master bedroom suite has a King size bed, television, acomputer station equipped with a desk, cable modem and connection to internet--You just need your laptop. The closets and cabinets afford more space than you can imagine for your clothes. The bedroom contains its own colonial tiled full bathroom. The smaller light and cheery bedroom is very ample and, also, has its own balcony and colonial tiled full bath. The living areas are equipped with new convection gas heaters for the cool weather. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. There is an upstairs sunroom and an additional roof terrace from which you may enjoy views of the parroquia, other churches, the park, the mountains, sunset and sunrise and the birds. |
