We know you would enjoy your time at Mudcat Lodge (Big Horn Condo - #18 Bison Run) as much as we do. We believe this is one of the most beautiful places to be for those who love the outdoors. Down hill skiing and snow boarding are the reasons you want to be here, but you can also enjoy cross-country skiing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, sleigh ride dinners, back country skiing, dog sledding and, for the real fishers among you, fly fishing. Best of all, no need to take a bus to the slopes as the Bear Back Poma lift is adjacent (about the length of a football field away) to the Big Horn Condo and Big Sky is famous for its lack of lift lines.
Accommodations
Mudcat Lodge (the etiology of the name can be found in our guest book) is located on Lone Mountain (a short walking distance to the Mountain Village) which is part of the Madison Range. It has been recently (2007) been refurbished and has all the features of the regular Big Horn units plus a third-story with indoor hot tub and TV room (we urge you to check out other Big Sky units before you decide on this one). This was the developer's own unit and its professional finished quality shows it and its set apart viewing opportunities are unique. From the 2 decks, you look across Mudcat Lake ( Lake Levinsky for those that don't know about the Mudcats) and you see the Spanish Peaks and the snow covered forests which are too rapidly being dotted with some of the most beautiful, expensive homes in the state of Montana.
There are 4 cable access televisions, (one in the hot tub room), 2 with video playing capacity and one with DVD capacity. There is a complete audio system, so bring your favorite tapes, DVDs or CDs when you come. Ours is a smoke free unit and we ask that it be kept that way. And please, no pets.
Winter is great, but we love summer just as much. Contact us about the super summers of Big Sky. |
