Casa Rosa is located in a rather remote ocean and beach area on Playa Blanca, away from the usual tourist congestion of Zihuatanejo,Ixtapa with emphasis on tranquility, privacy, solitude and the natural ambience of the ocean. Casa Rosa is a beautiful vacation property in Playa Blanca, Guerrero, Mexico.
Playa Blanca is located 3 KM north of Barra de Potosí, a small Mexican fishing village that boasts some of the best seafood enramadas (open air palapa restaurants). It also has a beautiful lagoon with miles of incredible mangrove trees and bird life to paddle through. The beach is great for swimming or just relaxing under our palapa roof.
The villa is a 5-bedroom house with large 30 x 30 feet infinity swimming pool with large palapa roofed outdoor living area that faces the beach. Designed and decorated by two of the area's most popular architects, the house is a true work of art combining natural free-flowing styles and traditional adobe and Mexican materials.
There are 4 bedrooms with 2 queen-size beds each and a upper level garden casita with a king-size bed, private bath and balcony. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and private bathrooms. The lower master bedroom has a TV with Satellite. There are three more identical double queen suites in the main house, one lower and two upper. All bedrooms except the casita have an ocean view. Casa Rosa comfortably sleeps 12 people.
Casa Rosa has a large living/dining room with tall glass windows that opens on to the palapa/pool patio. This room can be completely enclosed and has two air conditioning units. The mahogany dining table seats 8 guests. Additional seating for 4 is available. The comfortbale living room has SAT TV, DVD, movies, CD player, music and MP3 portable speakers. There are games for adults and kids.
The pool deck area has comfortable hammocks, chaise lounges and a scenic sitting area with a beautiful view of Playa Blanca. The villa has a fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast area that seats 4. The servant's kitchen also offers a beautiful view of the beach as well.
The ocean facing is southwest, so the sun sets directly into the sea in all but the summer months. The backdrop on the landside consists of natural pastures, tropical groves and fresh water estuaries with the majestic mountains of the Sierra Madre del Sur in the background.
Casa Rosa is located 15 minutes from the lxtapa/Zihuatanejo airport and 25 minutes from the twin resorts of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. Although Playa Blanca fronts the open Pacific Ocean, land massed on either end of the curved beach give the appearance of a large bay. Centered out in the ocean is an irregular cluster of rock islands called Los Morros de Potosí that lends special interest to the view. The surf is typically gentle and you can walk for miles.
About the location, Casa Rosa is on the beach immediately south of the Zihuatanejo airport a 20 minute drive (the town of Zihuatanejo is north of the airport)25 minutes. The beach is quite long, so the north half of the beach (the half closest to the airport) is called PLAYA LARGA, and the southern half is called PLAYA BLANCA, and the house is located more or less at the half way point of PLAYA BLANCA.
Guests can find services such as restaurants, satellite internet and convenience type stores at the south end of PLAYA BLANCA at Barra de Potosí.
